The fact that Harriet Tubman, a black woman, outsmarted a ton of racist plantation owners is my favorite part of the story. Like the irony there is so fantastic. Harriet Tubman is one of those people that does get mentioned, but doesn't get the proper credit she deserves she was a real life superhero.
Tubman should be on one of the dollar bills.

I knew Harriet Tubman was a master survivalist and smuggler, but I had no idea she was a military strategist. The people to whom that comes naturally are rare gems in the world and should be prized.

My mom has a theory that in that new movie, The King's Man, when the villain says what sounds like Marta, his accent cuts out the R, so he says Mata, and she thinks that Mata is Mata Hari. I love how the movie tied in so much history

I feel like I've learned so much about history through this series. Sure it's not 100% accurate detailed lecture of events but it's told in an entertaining format and with just enough information to spark interest that it does make you want to listen and possibly look in to it more. I hope they bring this show back again someday.

If you want to learn more about Virginia Hall read "A Woman of No Importance" It is a biography of her life that is amazing. Some of the things she did seem like something out of a bond movie

So after Mata Hari was executed, her head was embalmed and kept in the Museum of Anatomy in Paris, from where it disappeared sometime after 1954. But they didn't know it was missing until 2000.
