Mark is my favorite food blogger hands down. Such a humble man. I love the fact that when he uses a tour guide in a city, the guide actually sits down with him and his family to eat. I’ve seen Virginia on other channels where the blogger eats by themselves while she stands off to the side. Love you Mark, keep up the great work!
It’s very stingy to invite a food tour guide and not have them eat with you. I like Mark because he’s always so kind and I see that on alot of his videos. What a sweet generous person he is! The other food bloggers should be more like him.
I totally agree. I have been following Mark for many years, and I really like how friendly and open minded he is. Also, he is respectful of other cultures, traditions, religions etc. And very humble, even though he is very famous. I sometimes feel that he "over does" it with his "wows" and things like that. But I know many americans are like that, and I prefer it over being negative or feeling "better than normal people".
Yes, Mark is definitely very kind and a class act. He has more respect for the cultures and countries he visits than others. He does eat like he's starving though. lol😂😂😂
I grew up in Hong Kong so I can tell Virginia is a good food tour guide. She did a tremendous job. Hong Kong is the best place for food lovers. I don't recall if there are any type of world famous food that is unavailable in HK.
I loved the look on Virginia's face every time he reached for the chili oil. Her giggle, too, right after she said it was hot, he dips in and scoops a bunch out.😂
I’m going to Hong Kong this summer, haven’t been for probably about 12 years now… I’ve been recently trying to research where to go to eat, with dim sum absolutely the number 1 priority. All your recent videos is absolutely amazing for me. Thank you to you and Virginia!
When Mark said his favorite place didn´t make it, I got kind of sad, because i Know how it feels, but then hes like ¨oh this is their sister store¨ and then i got even more emotional because in reality they have a fallowing! Also uncle laughing at him while making the dim-sum is cute!
Virginia is everything!!! I'm so glad she got to indulge! I feel like she'd be such a great friend to have. 100000% Tell Sonny to stop bullying her. LOL.
One of my favorite food channels for years now! Mark is literally a street food globetrotting journalist whose simple yet genuine passion for what he does transpires on every video. Makes me travel (and salivate!) every time I watch even in places I have been too. Hope one day you can do a series of videos in France! Keep on the good work, thank you so much Mr Wiens!
Mark, I remember your first video in that restaurant that no longer exists. It was FULL, but you love places like that because that means that the food is good!!! Virginia is a great host ...what a duo!!!!❤
Nowadays with all kind of factory-made dimsum, I genuiely appreciate these hardworking dimsum masters with more than 30+ experiences continue with these home-made dimsum culture, I know it is not easy to be a dimsum master, technically you work all days in the morning from 4 am til midnight, and lots of young hong kongers dont wanna work with these kinds of job anymore.
I don't care if anything is made by humans or robots. As long as the quality is top notch, who cares if a machine flattens a ball of dough, then put some stuffings in it, then seals it up. Your car is made by robots. As long as you have the correct ingredients & procedures, who cares who makes it.
When you prepare a dish, you can see, when you take the top off of the bowl, you can see.meal and smell’s the greatness of how everything tastes and cooked
When it comes to food vlogs, there is nothing I enjoy watching more than Dim Sum and Sushi. Mark you have always done both so well. This one is outstanding! My mouth is watering! And Virginia is awesome! I remember her from Mike Chen's Strictly Dumpling channel. Eating Dim Sum in Hong Kong is on my bucket list, and now I want Virginia to guide me when I do it!
the 1st place Saam Hui Yaat is really a dim sum place with heart..the owners and staff always kind to elderly customers including my parents..its really a dim sum institution
I have been following Mark eating delicious foods from country to country, city to city. Lots of these places I have visited and many places I want to go one day. Love how Mark reacts to and appreciates all culinary experiences. I really miss those holes in walls restaurants where serve the most delicious authentic dishes.
It's my point of view , May be , but Virginia is Truly Beautiful Host And Food Vlogger! 7:04-7:11 , Sorry to Say Get Another Wife Virginia nice beautiful Contrast Between Mark and Virgina !
Mark… I watch absolutely all of your videos, and I love most of them. Just watched the Hong Kong dim sum Video and it took me back to my years in China. My wife and I love to travel and are actually coming to Bangkok this winter and really can’t wait. Like you, I am absolutely addicted to chilis and hot sauces. Thank you for everything! Your friend, Peter.
I'm grateful for this videos Mark, I'm from Panama and we have a heavy cantonese culture influence, on sundays Dim Sum is mandatory and we adopted the Siu Mai as a snack on the go in every bodega store.
The first time I had Dim Sum was years ago at the Barona Casino Buffet it was so delicious I tried 2 on my first round then ended up eating close to 10 of em lol. I was hooked every since then, I even had Bao pork dumplings which is a amazing Asian treat you can enjoy with tea or Boba beverage. That shrimp had my stomach roaring to the point I was heating up my leftover Panda Express 😂. Virginia is the best food tour guide ever!! Love her expertise!! Mark definitely gets my appetite charged up every single time Haha. If you know you know, right?! Such amazing tasty dumplings on this episode especially the last review displaying fine dining versions that had my mouth watery🤤. Thanks Mark for this culinary masterpiece of Chinese dumplings it was phenomenal!! Safe travels & many blessings as always my friend!! Yum Cha!! 🥟🍮🥡🥠🍵

it's been years, but used to have dim sum every Saturday morning at The China Club. amazing food, such an exceptionally gorgeous place, and always criminally empty in the morning. highly recommended! (it's a private club but a decent hotel concierge can make a booking for you)
What a mouthwatering vlog! Dimsum is just unbeatable, isn't it? The way they describe the taste, especially with that chili garlic sauce, makes me want to hop on a plane to Hong Kong right now! 🤤 Love this vlog!😍
Such wonderful series of videos on HK. Appreciate Mark’s enthusiasm. Btw did anyone notice Virginia’s expression every time Mark is speaking? This happens in every episode.
Great tour of 3 dim sum places. I always enjoyed eating the beef meatballs that is flavored with Chinese tangerine peel. It came in pair, sitting on a little bed of bitter/peppery greens - maybe watercress.
Maaaark I'm really digging hong Kong dim sum looks so good always been on the fence but now I'm gonna try it thank you mark for showing such good food good vibe also
Virginia is absolutely one of the best UA-cam HK food guides. I always love seeing creators like Mark use her expertise when they travel to Hong Kong. Glad she’s gaining more notoriety.
I am so tired of seeing her in every travel food blogger’s Hong Kong videos. I agree with the above. Her personality is a bit dull and she just says the same thing in everyone’s videos so it ends up feeling like a boring guided tour.
@@bettyt157 exactly. I don't like watching her eat. She doesn't make the food look appealing and her constant needs to explain things make the overall vibe of the meals worse. I think the only reason she got to be the cohost was because her company sponsored Mark's and BEFRS's trips to Hong Kong. Seriously many Hong Kong people are so fun to hang out with and it's so disappointing Mark went with someone boring like Virginia.
@@sugar.d Who says she sponsored Mark, Sonny and other vloggers videos? Virginia’s business is extremely small and it was drastically hurt by Covid. I’ve followed her since 2019 and she struggled like so many small businesses. Mark and Sonny likely hired her and paid for her time and services, which is fair. I understand you don’t like her and that’s fine. It’s a matter of opinion. 🤷🏻♂️
Hi Mark, Welcome back to HK❤! Will definitely go and try out all the restaurants that you recommended. Btw, the dimsum restaurant that you visited 7 years ago in Central, 蓮香樓, was reopened recently. You may want to check it out next time when you’re here … Anyway happy eating and keep spreading your positive energy ! 😂
I really enjoyed this video experience of dumplings and dim sum. I love dumplings and all kinds like these. You and your host are slim and yet enjoying the abundance of delicious foods in Hong Kong. Enjoy for many of us! lol
Cheaper one works for me is all local hands made stuff I can eat daily. This is what dim-sum is all about. The food for the people that fill their heart and stomach. :)
Virginia wouldve never have had the opportunity to go back stage in the kitchen of any restaurant but since she was riding with Mark......all he had to do was let his NUTS hang and backstage passes was granted!!!!! Much respect!
Been watching you for about 2 years now and you’ve finally hit NZ (where I’m from). So many good food places you need to try. Definitely need to come back and hopefully hit a couple of cities
I am a Dim Sum ADDICT !! I usually visit a restaurant in Phoenix called 'Great Wall' which is always packed with people . . . a great variety in the rolling carts and delicious fare. Really cool !
I appreciate Mark Wiens for finding so much of the world's cuisines to a large audience. What I don't appreciate is covering all of those diverse tastes with spicy chilis - why bother to find such fantastic foods when you cover them with the same condiment and making everything taste the same?
Hi Mark, really enjoying your HK videos! Just to let you know that Lin Heung Tea House has recently reopened in Central early last month by their former employees. However you might need to book several days in advance, hope you get the chance to try it out!
