Thank You! Indeed, the so called "bad albums" can be quite enjoyable. McCartney 3 was so mind blowing for me. Mr. McCartney still being creative and bold.
Hi Andrew, love the reverse chronology concept. I tend to agree with your ratings but I have to say I'm in a minority for loving "New". It's the LP that stopped me digging Paul out and really appreciating him again. Chocked full of great songs and melodies evoking memories of the Beatles, a latter day triumph!
If you’re familiar with the George Martin “Love” album taking and remixing all the Beatles songs … it is fresh and so enjoyable and he had such a large catalog to work from. I would love to see McCartney take to creativity and remix his catalog taking liberties to pair and recreate his familiar songs into a new sound …I think it could really be well received and recycle excellent tracks into a new way to listen … Paul, you out there? What do you think?

Good rankings Andrew I agree 100 % on this group. Wish Paul would do a group of album reissues like you said, especially if he is not going to do an archive release !! We need a petition to MPL ! Take care 🎶
I’ve really enjoyed this Andrew. My favourite Paul album has to be Flaming Pie, for many reasons. However I must also give honorary mentions to McCartney III, Flowers in the Dirt and Press to Play (yes, really!). I know Press doesn’t necessarily hold up too well, but it was the first solo McCartney record I can remember having an interest in. The video for the Press single, where Paul is on the tube, still delights me to this day.

Loved this video Andrew - can't wait for episode 2! My ranking would be: 1. McCartney III 2. Memory Almost Full 3. Egypt Station 4. New 5. Electric Arguments 6. Kisses
Egyptian Station is an excellent album. Take out about three average songs and replace them with the bonus tracks and you have a masterpiece. For me it’s not the best of his career, but It is his best of the 21st century. In thirty years time, when people catch up, we will look at it like we look at RAM now. My top five are # 5. Venus and Mars. #4. Egyptian Station. #3. Band On The Run. #2. Flaming Pie. #1. Ram (masterpiece). Great video 👍
Personally i think Pauls 21st century has been a revival to his career. From Chaos and Creation onwards hes been on a streak, his last album that i didnt like was driving rain
Loved the new way of ranking Paul's albums Andrew and so far I think you have nailed their relative positions. End of the End is one of my favorite Paul songs of the last 25 years, it really gets to me when he is so obviously contemplating his own mortality and how he will be remembered. Cant wait for the next episode in the series, cracking work :)
Strangely enough, I prefer McCartney III over Egypt Station as it feels more authentic. Egypt Station sounds quite over produced but, that being said, I love the track Dominoes. I still love the album NEW, particularly the two autobiographical tracks On my way to work and Early Days.

I agree with your top choice. Egypt station is a gem. It’s consistently good throughout and is still enjoyable to listen to. Memory almost full is also consistently. For whatever reason i found New to be very uneven with lots of filler. Great idea, Andrew. Looking forward to the other episodes.

Great video Andrew, like you probably agree, McCartney’s so called worst albums are still very good, as are his unreleased songs like Waterspout, Lindiana, Return To Pepperland, Love Mix, to name a few……….my top 6 so far would be 1 Egypt Station…..2 New………3 Memory Almost Full……..4 McCartney 3………5 Electric Arguments……….6 Kisses on the Bottom. Hopefully one day we will get Deluxe editions of these with the unreleased songs from these albums added. Also agree with you on Gratitude…….😂
I remember walking to gym class as a high school freshman and seeing the “New” single pop up on my iPod. I was 14 and it was my first time ever being “aware” of a paul release, his last album had been Kisses. I’m 23 now! I cried when I heard the song and Macca’s energy on it! Since then, Paul has only astounded me with each new release. The man is unparalleled.
Hey Andrew! Love, love, love this video. I'm pretty much in agreement with your ranking. I love ES too. I think it's a beautifully crafted album. However, why is it that nobody ever mentions the album opener, "I Don't Know"? The second I heard the opening chords on that beautiful grand piano, I was hooked. Gorgeous melody and stunning vocal by Paul. I also love MAF. I was fortunate to see Paul perform several of the album's tracks live when it first came out including Dance Tonight and House of Wax. He was promoting the new record and did a live show in Hollywood. I also agree that Gratitude is one of the worst things he has ever done. I loathe it and skip it when listening. I agree with your rankings of the others as well. I was amazed that McCartney III was as good as it was. Can't wait for the next one! Cheers.

Of these albums, my listing is as follows: 1) Egypt Station (I, too, love this album, for the most part. 80%) 2) Electric Arguments 3) NEW (Not all great, but 40% great.) (Sadly, I don't really like any of the following, but I look forward to your future videos.) 4) Memory Almost Full 5) McCartney III 6) Kisses On the Bottom
Great video Electric Arguments - Late period masterpiece that more should know McCartney 3 - Paul at his most playful and relaxed with some brilliant tunes Egypt Station - First half pretty weak, but 2nd half is brilliant. Bonus tracks could have improved album Memory Almost Full - Bonus tracks could have replaced the weak links in Side 1 and Nod Your Head ruins vibe New - 1st half strong, 2nd half one of Paul's weakest sides Kisses - originals are great, don't care for the covers
I like the way you have done this, much more interesting than other ranking video's out there! for me as it stands at the moment the only change I would make is to switch 4 & 5 around :)
Cheers Rob, I expected to get hit with a barrage of "Why the hell have you done it like this, ridiculous!" comments but I seem to have avoided that so far! Am sure it won't be long....
Hello, hello. A brilliant idea and system of ranking. (And, yes, ranking, what's the point of ranking, well, it's fun). I agree with your high regard of Egypt Station. I loved it on first listen, and it has even grown since then. So, when did that happen with a McCartney LP? I think New deserves a higher ranking than the one you gave it. But, Egypt Station, is it my favourite of McCartney's solo? It will br exciting to see how it ranks on your list when you're through.
My Favourite Macca Albums are 1.Egypt Station 2.New 3.Flaming Pie 4.Memory Almost Full 5.Press to Play . My Least Favourite are 1.McCartney 3 and 2. McCartney 1970 (Although Maybe Im Amazed is great.)3.Wings Wild Life
Macca’s albums of the last 20 years have been amazing. Hard to pick a favourite! McCartney III is my favourite since 2007, just came out at the right time, we all needed a new McCartney album.
Enjoyable video, thanks Andrew. I think I'd go 1) Egypt Station then Electric Arguments and McCartney III tied at Number 2. EA is arguably McCartney III by any other name! Then 4) Memory Almost Full, 5) New and 6) Kisses. I still think if EA had been released as a regular Paul McCartney album co-produced by Youth then it would be regarded as a classic rather than a curio. I loved MAF when it was released, more so than Chaos. It was much more immediate. Chaos has really overtaken it in my estimation since. I still love MAF, but don't listen to it anywhere near as much as Chaos. The compression doesn't help it on CD either. People keep telling me to seek out the vinyl. I thought New was a really solid album when it came out with some very strong songs individually. As an album though I felt a little underwhelmed. Paul sure raised the bar again with Egypt Station though!
Of the 6 albums mentioned here, my top 3 would be Memory Almost Full, McCartney 111 and Electric Arguments in that order. This is a fun way to rank them - a different twist than the usual bottom to top.
I really like New. It’s really an under appreciated album. I would rank the albums 1. Memory Almost Full, 2. New, 3. Egypt Station, 4. McCartney III, 5. Kisses on the Bottom.
Great concept Andrew. Agree with your rankings so far. Intrigued by your comments re Egypt Station cryptic last album. I can’t see the link with your thoughts on this please can you forward to me. Thank you ..Steve.
Hi Andrew. Watched your Egypt Station review from 3 years ago and played the album again straight after. I think you maybe very close in your thinking . Listening to it the way you describe makes for a very emotional ending. Thanks for sharing your thoughts . Even if your a little wrong it does make sense as a fan when you aline it with Abbey Road , The End. Have to say some songs on Mac 3 offer the same scenario. Perhaps sadly Paul is entering into each album in his mind as his possible last album ?
Very enjoyable video, Andrew, thank you :) I put immediately Memory Almost Full on, it´s such an interesting album. For me it´s Paul beeing all 5 members of Pink Floyd. Maybe you can do a video discussing B-sides in Paul´s career, because MAF has "222" and "Why So Blue", two more great tracks!
my ranking of these today (could change any day) is: 1. Electric Arguments 2. McCartney III 3. Egypt Station 4. Memory Almost Full 5. New 6. Kisses On the Bottom I consider EA almost a masterpiece, McCartney III very decent, Egypt Station good with excellent moments, MMA and New good to average... and Kisses On The Bottom is probably my least favourite McCartney album alongside Press To Play...
I wonder how the albums would compare if the volume of pre-release publicity, and the number variations on the release, extra tracks on out of the way releases etc after the release, were the measure you were using. McCartney III would still be up of there, but what would be second? Third?....
There was a vinyl copy of Electric Arguments. To my knowledge it was a super deluxe version in a Brown paper bag with a capital F on the front. Remeber looking for a copy, but was sold out pretty quick.
My favourite from this batch would be Memory Almost Full. I thought it was weak initially but grew to love it. On the subject of Electric Arguments, didn't Paul also play Highway live too?
I love Paul. Definitely my favourite Beatle. But I’ve been trying to think… has he recorded a universal classic to go up against Imagine or All Things Must Pass? I can’t think of one even though I love his post-Beatles output more than any of the other band members. Is there a universal song of his that ‘everyone knows’ and has a great message….?
@@AndrewDixonMusic there are so many wonderful songs… But I can’t think of the huge, timeless, mega-hit that will be remembered alongside the Beatles stuff…
Tough job, well executed. My ranking would have been entirely different, but who cares? My thought of seeing the Flaming Pie and later albums coming out on top has not materialised. Wonder if it really would have in my own list. Tug of War in my view should be much lower down and Pipes of Peace… how low can you get, I add: as Paul McCartney. You are talking to someone that bought Ram when it came out (I had to save for weeks). The music press was against him, he was seriously uncool. I remember Ushi on Beatclub berating Henry McColough for having left The Grease Band and joined Wings. So, I never bought Red Rose Speedway until much, much later. But Ram and McCartney will be up there near the top. And I share your soft spot for Wild Life. Incidentally, my worst McC song will be Teddy Boy, pointless, never ending. It misses an essential ingredient, perhaps a good middle-8 section?
15 Egypt Station 14 McCartney 13 Red Rose Speedway 12 Press To Play 11 Flowers In The Dirt 10 Back To The Egg 9 Speed Of Sound 8 Pipes of Peace 7 Off The Ground 6 London Town 5 Tug Of War 4 Band On The Run 3 Venus and Mars 2 Wild Life 1 Ram
I would rank McCartney 3 very high in my rankings up there with the great Paul albums. Of the later career albums I would rank this only second Chaos to Creation. I dont rank Egypt Station as highly as you do Andrew its a middle ranking in my opinion. New has a great side 1 but side 2 i find weak in general apart from Appreciate Kisses on the bottom would have been better if Paul had done this 10 years early as Paul is clearly struggling vocally. I actually prefer Sentimental Journey which is the only i prefer Ringos work to anything Paul has done. Electric Arguments is by far the best Fireman album but still not a favourite of mine. It is creative but not one i would listen to alot. Memory Almost Full again I would have as a middle ranking album. Dance Tonight is excellent but Gratitude and Nod My head are awful. Cheers mate
Andrew. I've a vinyl copy of Kisses On The Bottom. We're or are they scarce? Watching this video has made me replay the albums, especially Egypt Station
You mentioned a song from Memory Almost Full being in the "top five" worst McCartney songs. Have you done a "bottom 10" of Paul's songs? "Top 10" would be cool also. And I would love to see a "bottom 10" of John Lennon songs (outside of the Unfinished Music albums and the Wedding Album).
Very enjoyable listen Andrew! Question: How many original Paul McCartney solo albums are there to date? I tried doing a count be feel I have missed some. Had no idea Electric Arguments existed. Cheers!
It all depends which you include and exclude. I've included Electric Arguments as you've seen but may not include the other 2 Fireman albums as they were something else entirely. I also won't be including live or classical albums.
I can really recommend Electric Arguments. Unlike the other Fireman albums, it's a collection of (mostly) proper songs and is the real McCartney III. If it had been released as a regular McCartney album co-produced by Youth it would be seen as a classic rather than a curio. McCartney III is really McCartney IV!
Hi Andrew you might be interested to know that The Get Back bluray has been postponed indefinitely. Full information on The Expecting Rain site. It's the last article.
I am sure many people will not find the following quote surprising however I thought it would be a positive act to post.. We all love his music but he is also a very kind soul. Many have criticised his frugal ways but that is unfair as people who grow up in near poverty usually do. The other thing that people do not know is that he gives millions to charities. He just doesn't tell any one and does it privately. That is real and genuine charity. What’s weird about Paul McCartney? For a billionaire, McCartney lives very frugally. He was raised in a relatively poor household and seems quite well-grounded. He grew up with working class family and neighbours for whom frugality was ingrained because they had experienced hard times in the depression and the war. He has never forgotten this. He has nice houses, but not opulent mansions. He has no servants, just a part-time housekeeper. His wife said that he is a neat freak and often tidies up the house before the housekeeper arrives. They cook their own meals at home. He doesn't own a corporate jet; he just takes air taxis and charter jets when he travels. He owns no super yacht. He once owned an old, renovated trawler when he was with Linda, but he has sold it. Now he sometimes charters some other millionaire’s yacht for a week or two when he wants to. He is frugal, but not a cheapskate. He supported his elderly aunts and uncles for all their lives. He has supported 50 charities and given away millions. he has raised millions more playing benefit concerts. McCartney never lavished money on his kids, encouraging them to go to affordable universities or pay their own way. Most of them have made their own way in the world with great success because of this, even though they will one day inherit millions. McCartney’s style is not weird, but certainly remarkable and interesting. Source: Jay Snead retired researcher, amateur philosopher QUORA It is any wonder his fans such as Andrew, Tom and Andy and Matthew Street are also kind, thoughtful gentlemen.
I Don’t Know and Happy With You are in his top ten ever in terms of quality, up there with Yesterday, Let It Be and Hey Jude and better than lovey dovey stuff like Michelle and Here There and Everywhere. Kisses, on the other hand, was a total waste of time, only album Paul sings on that I never bought. Of these albums, Memory Almost Full is my favorite. I put it up there with Ram, Pepper, Revolver and Abbey Road.
It’s not that easy for me to decide which one - Memory Almost Full or Egypt Station - is better. ES is packed with great songs, but runs too long to my taste. MAF is shorter and provides a bright pleasant listening experience: I feel happy everytime upon hearing it. But MAF was made during the "old" times when you could still expect great songs from Paul, and ES came as surprise 11 years later, because during those 11 years we were rarely getting anything "great" from him. I didn’t personally expect new PM's hits, that’s why ES appeared to be so fantastic. I love it.
McCartney III is a big disappointment after Egypt Station. With the exception of the song NEW, I thought the album NEW was pretty good. Then came Egypt Station, and I was blown away. So I expected more from McCartney III. The Fireman album was great at first but I quickly got burned out on it. My list would be: 1. Egypt Station 2. NEW 3. Memory Almost Full 4. McCartney III 5. Electric Arguments 6. Kisses On the Bottom
I’d agree with most of that ranking though I’d have McCartney 3 over memory almost full. Egypt station would be top as its a special album for me as it’s the first one which came out while I was a fan of Paul and it’s just a great album anyway. Not the biggest fan of New and think it’s a pretty mid tier McCartney album w which has a few really good songs on
I wouldn't be surprised if Mc III eventually overtakes MAF for me, but it needs a bit longer outside the initial honeymoon period before I can see if I would go with that.
Hi Andrew If you type in John Lennon & Paul McCartney On The Tonight Show - 15 May 1968 It is not fascinating and only runs for a few minutes but I believe it will probably be taken down within 24 hours (it was loaded today) so this might be your only chance in life to see this footage. Cheers.
I never warmed to Mccartney 3 but I admit I only played it a few times. I will give it a chance and play it again. My feeling was of disappointment- the first time I’ve ever had that feeling with McCartneys stuff that I’ve bought.. I loved Egypt station which in my view was a major achievement for an artist in his late seventies. Having said that about ES ,I hated fuh.you and would have binned that and included the single from the same sessions. On MAF I loved house of wax but hated nod your head which I find tuneless and jarring. I don’t think I’ve listened to electric arguments ( I don’t have it) so I can’t comment. I have tried to listen to it on you tube but didn’t enjoy the few tracks I’ve heard. The same goes for kisses on the bottom. New is a fair album and many artists would be proud of it but I expect more from McCartney .The word genius is often thrown about with artists but McCartney is clearly one.
Great video but I will go with New of this lot. I thought it was brilliantly put together. He had just turned 70 and to put this out totally blew me away. So many different styles just amazing. I think the rest are about even for my listening pleasure . Fireman last . Wasn’t A big fan
I feel like almost every McCartney album is 50-60% great (with a few exceptions, like McCartney III, which I don't enjoy much at all). It is almost as if he was designed to produce a great half an album at a time (which is wonderful if you're in a band with John Lennon and George Harrison, and not so great - also not too bad - if you're a solo artist). Still, he's the best ever. Cheers.
Thank You! Indeed, the so called "bad albums" can be quite enjoyable. McCartney 3 was so mind blowing for me. Mr. McCartney still being creative and bold.

I'm so grateful for Macca's latest albums. In 2050 Mccartney III /Egypt Station will be equal to Mccartney I/RAM🔝🎆
That was a fantastic and very interesting video😀
Of these albums, my listing is as follows:
1) Egypt Station (I, too, love this album, for the most part. 80%)
2) Electric Arguments
3) NEW (Not all great, but 40% great.)
(Sadly, I don't really like any of the following, but I look forward to your future videos.)
4) Memory Almost Full
5) McCartney III
6) Kisses On the Bottom
Maybe I just need to give 'Memory Almost Full' that fourth listen. ;)
let's gooooo I could watch people rank Paul's albums in a thousand different ways and be entertained every time
I hope I don't let you down!
@@AndrewDixonMusic impossible!!
Now I'll have "Dance Tonight" in my head all day.
Like the new ranking format. Can’t wait to see the rest.
Great video
Electric Arguments - Late period masterpiece that more should know
McCartney 3 - Paul at his most playful and relaxed with some brilliant tunes
Egypt Station - First half pretty weak, but 2nd half is brilliant. Bonus tracks could have improved album
Memory Almost Full - Bonus tracks could have replaced the weak links in Side 1 and Nod Your Head ruins vibe
New - 1st half strong, 2nd half one of Paul's weakest sides
Kisses - originals are great, don't care for the covers
I like the way you have done this, much more interesting than other ranking video's out there! for me as it stands at the moment the only change I would make is to switch 4 & 5 around :)
Cheers Rob, I expected to get hit with a barrage of "Why the hell have you done it like this, ridiculous!" comments but I seem to have avoided that so far! Am sure it won't be long....
@@AndrewDixonMusic You might be pleasantly surprised this time, you never know.....🤞oh no I've gone and jinxed it now!
His early music flaming pie macartney three I play a lot respect to Paul thanks 🙏
My Favourite Macca Albums are 1.Egypt Station 2.New 3.Flaming Pie 4.Memory Almost Full 5.Press to Play .
My Least Favourite are 1.McCartney 3 and 2. McCartney 1970 (Although Maybe Im Amazed is great.)3.Wings Wild Life
I like the way you’re doing this. Thanks.
Agreed on every word of that!
I have the limited edition Electric Arguments Box! I got it a record store and let’s just say i spent a fortune on it.
Paul McCartney started a great run with Flaming Pie, less poppy, more personal. Wonder if these will end up, en bloc, at the top.
Ambitious, Andrew!
Let's get a new date sorted, my cold has gone now!
@@AndrewDixonMusic OK, will be in touch soon!
Hi Steve, there should have been a link at the end of the video, but here it is: ua-cam.com/video/PjcFZPGgLGQ/v-deo.html 🙂👍
Thank you Very much Andrew. I look forward to watching the link and will comment later.
I love Memory Allmost Full
Very enjoyable video, Andrew, thank you :) I put immediately Memory Almost Full on, it´s such an interesting album. For me it´s Paul beeing all 5 members of Pink Floyd. Maybe you can do a video discussing B-sides in Paul´s career, because MAF has "222" and "Why So Blue", two more great tracks!
my ranking of these today (could change any day) is:
1. Electric Arguments
2. McCartney III
3. Egypt Station
4. Memory Almost Full
5. New
6. Kisses On the Bottom
I consider EA almost a masterpiece, McCartney III very decent, Egypt Station good with excellent moments, MMA and New good to average... and Kisses On The Bottom is probably my least favourite McCartney album alongside Press To Play...
Egypt Station is excellent, I even like Fuh You !!!
So do I 👍
I wonder how the albums would compare if the volume of pre-release publicity, and the number variations on the release, extra tracks on out of the way releases etc after the release, were the measure you were using. McCartney III would still be up of there, but what would be second? Third?....
I expect generally it would be a case of the newer the album, the higher it ranks!
There was a vinyl copy of Electric Arguments. To my knowledge it was a super deluxe version in a Brown paper bag with a capital F on the front. Remeber looking for a copy, but was sold out pretty quick.
I missed out on that also, couldn't afford it at the time and never seen it at a good price since.
That will be interesting, checking out your early video from 2018.
My favourite from this batch would be Memory Almost Full. I thought it was weak initially but grew to love it. On the subject of Electric Arguments, didn't Paul also play Highway live too?
You may be right there about Highway.
Among the general public of non McCartney fans, probably Wonderful Christmastime? Maybe Live and Let Die.
@@AndrewDixonMusic I was thinking Mull of Kintyre or We all Stand Together… but none of them have the gravitas of the other two songs…
@@NoelHarrisonfan The main reason I didn't say Mull Of Kintyre is due to it having almost no recognition in the US apart from for hardcore fans
@@AndrewDixonMusic there are so many wonderful songs… But I can’t think of the huge, timeless, mega-hit that will be remembered alongside the Beatles stuff…
@@NoelHarrisonfan I would like the answer to be Maybe I'm Amazed but I'm not convinced it's that well known outside of Paul fans.
Cheers Andrew Keep safe and well
Tough job, well executed.
I think overall the recent albums have done pretty well here, Memory Almost Full, Egypt Station, Chaos & Creation did well. 👍
I’m glad someone loves memory almost full. It would be my number 1 in this rankings
"Deep Down" reminds me of "Où est le soleil", one I've always liked.
Flowers In The Dirt is always better when it's a version with Ou Est Let Soleil at the end! 👍
15 Egypt Station
14 McCartney
13 Red Rose Speedway
12 Press To Play
11 Flowers In The Dirt
10 Back To The Egg
9 Speed Of Sound
8 Pipes of Peace
7 Off The Ground
6 London Town
5 Tug Of War
4 Band On The Run
3 Venus and Mars
2 Wild Life
1 Ram
Great to see some Wild Life love!
I would rank McCartney 3 very high in my rankings up there with the great Paul albums. Of the later career albums I would rank this only second Chaos to Creation.
I dont rank Egypt Station as highly as you do Andrew its a middle ranking in my opinion.
New has a great side 1 but side 2 i find weak in general apart from Appreciate
Kisses on the bottom would have been better if Paul had done this 10 years early as Paul is clearly struggling vocally.
Cheers mate
Cheers David, definitely agree on the Side 1/2 of New, I don't particularly enjoy the later parts of the album (after Appreciate)
Andrew. I've a vinyl copy of Kisses On The Bottom. We're or are they scarce?
Watching this video has made me replay the albums, especially Egypt Station
It was during that time when vinyl was still waiting for the revival so in comparison to now very few copies printed.
Thanks Mike. Interesting, could mean a few different things, I feel a video coming on!
I would rank it has McCartney 3 first then Egypt Station, Memory Almost Full, New, Electric Arguments and Kisses From The Bottom so far.
All ranked Fab.👌🏽
Max Q is Michael Hutchence's band. Watch the video of Way of the World
I am sure many people will not find the following quote surprising however I thought it would be a positive act to post..

It is any wonder his fans such as Andrew, Tom and Andy and Matthew Street are also kind, thoughtful gentlemen.
Love McCartney 3, Sliding is like a sequel to Helter Skelter. Will you be buying the Women and Wives rsd single in June Andrew?.
Hoping to! 👍
Yes me too, I have day off so will go down to my local record store. Managed to pick up the Noel Gallagher single for rsd.
Hey there, I have always been curious of those two high-rise shelve units where are they from?
thank you
I think they were from Argos but they don't do that range now, I've probably had them 20 years!
I love it.
I LOVE deep down
McCartney III is a big disappointment after Egypt Station. With the exception of the song NEW, I thought the album NEW was pretty good. Then came Egypt Station, and I was blown away. So I expected more from McCartney III. The Fireman album was great at first but I quickly got burned out on it.
My list would be:
1. Egypt Station
2. NEW
3. Memory Almost Full
4. McCartney III
5. Electric Arguments
6. Kisses On the Bottom
When you get to it, do the double album version of Red Rose Speedway pretty please : )
I will mention it, but it won't be part of the ranking sorry!
Hi Andrew If you type in John Lennon & Paul McCartney On The Tonight Show - 15 May 1968
It is not fascinating and only runs for a few minutes but I believe it will probably be taken down within 24 hours (it was loaded today) so this might be your only chance in life to see this footage. Cheers.
Thanks! Well that's an awkward interview....
My favourite Macca album is Tug of war.
You felt emotional because Egypt Station was maybe going to be his last album?
Quite possibly!
It seems unlikely that he'll be able to make a more enjoyable album than Egypt Station in his eighties, but you can't bet against him at the moment.
It is so hard ranking Pauls album except for the 3 best album, guess Which ones
Ram, Band On The Run, Flaming Pie?
Great video but I will go with New of this lot. I thought it was brilliantly put together. He had just turned 70 and to put this out totally blew me away. So many different styles just amazing. I think the rest are about even for my listening pleasure . Fireman last . Wasn’t
A big fan
I feel like almost every McCartney album is 50-60% great (with a few exceptions, like McCartney III, which I don't enjoy much at all). It is almost as if he was designed to produce a great half an album at a time (which is wonderful if you're in a band with John Lennon and George Harrison, and not so great - also not too bad - if you're a solo artist). Still, he's the best ever. Cheers.
