Thank you Andrew for introducing Francis to us fans and collectors. Seeing the videos of this amazing collection are spellbinding.
I’m sure his late brother Jackie is proudly smiling down on him and his beautifully curated museum. A true labor of love and a wonderful tribute to both him and The Beatles.

Thanks Andrew for a brilliant series and thanks to Francis for sharing his collection with us. If he were ever to publish a pictorial catalogue it would be a lasting tribute to his brother Jacky and I"m sure many Beatles aficionados would purchase a copy.

Thank you Andrew, what a magnificent collection and such a joy to be able to see it. I hope Francis knows how grateful we are to be able to see it and what a lovely guy he is, the tribute to his brother Jacky was wonderful. Thank you Francis, now lets find that demo of something for him, someone must be able to find one for him to make the collection complete

It has been fascinating to watch all episodes. What just shocked me is that the questions you asked him, he answered EXACTLY what I would have answered, regarding favourites. I've never met anyone who feels the same - that's quite shocking to me. Made the hairs stand up on my neck and all that.
I perfectly understand why he'd want to pass the thing on as a whole. That many pristine copies of records should never be split.
Nice touch to his brother at the end. Merci.

It’s funny I’m looking at this collection and I’m not one bit jealous. I’m very happy with what I have, which are mostly records. However my eyes lit up at seeing the Yellow Submarine lunch box. I had one that made a couple of moves, our family moved a lot when I was young as my dad was a naval officer. Anyways mom unfortunately threw it out after it became a nut and bolt storage container…oh well, lol!!
Great video as always Andrew. Grateful to this French gentleman for collecting and preserving for you to video for us to see.
Thinking about making a video of my vinyl collection in order for to see what exactly I have. Maybe one of these days.

Thank you, Francis, for creating this astonishing tribute to the one band that changed music, and our lives. Thank you too, Andrew, for sharing this with us. What a touching way to end the interview, seeing as well as hearing, the love Francis still carries for his brother Jacky. I know exactly how he feels.
What a gift it must have been for you when Francis first agreed to let you see his museum. How amazing an experience to get a personal viewing of it all. I can understand his reticence over opening the museum to the public. Firstly, he'd had to close everything off from being touched. Repeated handling of any of his collection by complete strangers would cause no end of stress to Francis' labour of love, running the risk of destroying any of the artifacts or the potential unscrupulous customer unable to resist one of the baser human 'qualities'. He'd have to move it to a different building to meet fire regulation as well as heavier security precautions. In many ways, it would take away from his tribute to Jacky to alter the work Francis has done.
That said, my mind's eye imagines an opening ceremony attended by special guests, Paul and Ringo. Could they resist an invitation if such an occasion ever happened?

Lovely collection Francis!! I'm a huge Beach Boys collector, and like you, I'm hoping to sell my WHOLE collection to someone at some point! Might be difficult, but I'm confident that when I'm ready, someone will step up!! As for your tribute to your brother Jackie...I feel the same way about my two older brothers, who were the first to introduce me to the world of the Beatles, the Who, the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan...the list goes on and on. It's something special to be connected to them, because of the music. I could see the connection you have to your brother in your eyes, when you spoke of him. He's with you and he's enjoying the museum!! You can be assured of this!! Best, DmGrk

That's an astonishingly awesome collection Francis has put together, and one has to admire his dedication and tenacity at putting all this together. Hi Andrew, Its been an absolute joy over these four episodes to see Francis's fantastic collection. I think he's wise not to open the museum to the general public as you would need to have everything in secure glass cabinets for security reasons. I do hope his sister or son will one day carry on the museum in the same spirit as it was created. If for some reason in the future the collection has to be sold, I hope Apple 🍏 Corp would purchase it in its entirety. Please pass our thanks on to Francis for allowing us to see these wonderful items.

The individual items are awesome, but it is so beautifully displayed. The record label floor mats are great. Are they unique or were they produced for sale at one time? Francis’s (slightly) limited English made him explain things more clearly than a native English speaker who probably would have relied too much on cliches (to use a French word). I’ve been to the Abba museum in Sweden and Francis’s collection is at least as good. Thank-you Francis, keep doing what you can do to keep this together!

Thanks for documenting this collection. While Francis can never likely accommodate more than a small number of visitors to his museum, you’ve made it possible for thousands to enjoy his collection. Your camera work was excellent, giving us a good feel of what it must be like to step into this space. These videos may end up being the legacy of Francis’ work to compile the collection.
Sadly, finding a new owner for this collection someday will be a tough job. Very few out there have both the passion and the money to give Francis a fair offer for his collection. There almost needs to be a buyer representing either one of the estates or Apple Records or a fan like Peter Jackson. Otherwise the only way to get Francis’ investment back would be to dismantle the collection and sell it piece-by-piece… which could be a huge effort in itself.

I think this is a good opportunity to ask; Does the city of Liverpool have a genuine and real Beatles museum? If they honestly do not, Francis’s empire here should go there! Memphis has Elvis Presley’s Graceland…there’s no excuse why this precious collection cannot go to where it all began. After all, it’s a certain bet that Liverpool gets substantial taxes out of its most famous sons through tourism. Do NOT let one single item be sold, Francis! Preserve it the way it should be, just like Graceland!! Future generations will thank you!!

I noticed he had The Beatles 'bible' also, 'The Beatles Covered'. It would be brilliant to see his collection in book format also. I would willing photograph everything he had if he ever wanted to do that (put in a word for me, it would help with my world database I'm doing!! 😉😄).

Well done and thank you Andrew and Francis for the series of videos relating to the museum and sharing this on this site. I've watched many videos since finding your channel, but this is the first time I've left a comment.
I especially enjoyed the section on the different sleeve variations from around the world. It's something that rarely happens these days with most CD's using the same cover with the odd exception. It's interesting to see that some items were not in perfect condition which may say it's rare to find some items in perfect condition.
I was wondering if Francis managed to get The Beatles autographs first hand but that was answered in the video, who knows Paul or Ringo may see this video and stop by one day.
I think many people can relate to having a record collection which family may not be interested in keeping after their death. Unfortunately, for kids it's all about streaming these days!

In America ,merching off of stars has been big business since Elvis and it went into overdrive with Beatlemania in 1964.
The most popular Halloween costumes sold in '64 was the Beatles which consisted of plastic mask likenesses and suits to go with them.
One in mint condition today will fetch up to $300
Before they set foot on American soil shirts with Beatles pictures printed on them sold for $5 a piece when they'd normally go for 79 cents.Back in 1964 5 US dollars had today's purchasing power of $43

Hi Andrew... I just want to thank you for showing us this incredible collection in this series, and to thank Francis for making it possible. When you asked if he had ever met the four or the living Beatles in person, I was really expecting a ´Yes´ as an answer, but then he said it was only in a concert. Then my heart felt very sad to know that the living Beatles have not met this incredible museum yet. I'm pretty sure Francis would be delighted to have them there; that would be a dream come true. Is possible for you or is there any way we (as fans) could make this possible for Francis?

Hey Andrew, were there any food products affiliated with The Beatles. I remember when I visited the Philippines in 1970, they had a sandwich biscuit called The Beatles Sandwich Biscuit which was two small plain digestives with peanut butter cream filling. The wrapper had their mop top likeness!

i dont remember where i read it, but a huge similarity between beatles and james bond. both started exactly the same year and day,5 October 1962 with the singles - love me do, ps i love u and 007 dr. no in the uk. huge part of the modern british pop culture phenomeans and the beginning, George martin was the producer in the Goldfinger song and worked with the from russia with love theme ,and Goldfinger made a bad comment about beatles in the film, beatles probably made the film help as a 007 parodied after the sh -tty comment the creators of 007 made, the actor Colonel Smithers was both in james bond and help, the bond girl in The Spy Who Loved Me married ringo starr many years later, paul mccarthney for some reason wanted to make a james bond song to james bond. George harrison and paul mccarthney loved the bond car so much that they bought db5 themselfs after visiting the bond studio, Sean connery came to geroge martin in abbey road and recorded the song, in my life.. i know i miss alot, but those are the ones i remember. intresting article called : James Bond and The Beatles: When 007 made fun of the Fab Four

At 16:32, export TO Malta rather than from, presumably... but isn't the disc just a generic export to a number of different countries rather than specifically to Malta? (Unless there is something Malta-specific on the sleeve??)
    Excellent video Andrew, thanks!

I hope that a collector can be found to buy the whole collection. Perhaps it could be an institutional buyer? This seems like the kind of thing the British Library, or the equivalent institution in France, might be interested in buying. A buyer like that would probably give the collection the highest possible long-term chance of remaining intact. On another note, how on Earth did I not know that Sylvie Vartan opened for the Beatles in Paris?!?

Hi Andrew, what an amazing collection! I have been watching these episodes in absolute awe! Haha, I was just wondering if I would be able to send you a quick email tomorrow about a let it be record that I found in a big bundle I purchased. It has a black parlophone label instead of the usual apple label and it has parlophone on the back of the sleeve where the apple normally is. Thanks

I don’t know where Francis’s museum is but I guess it’s in a private house. That isn’t conducive to being a public museum but the intimate layout and presentation is as important as the collection and should be preserved. There is a way all goals could be achieved. Visitors pay, say, €100 for a one hour guided tour. It would be an exclusive tour meaning one curator per visitor. As each visitor has a curator with then at all times, that gets round the security problem. It would mean visitor numbers are low, but that’s necessary anyway because of the small space. Because it’s a personal tour, the visitor can request to see specific items. Would people pay €100 for an hour? I’m a life long Beatles fan and have never seen any of the rarities in Francis’ collection. I would definitely pay €100 to see them all in the same place. It’s win win: fans are happy and Francis knows his collection is safe and bringing pleasure to many diehard fans that really appreciate it.

Is it fair to ask what does this man do for a living to get all these beautiful rare editions of these albums and memorabilia? He has to be either independently wealthy or have an extremely well paying job to do this. A normal collector could not get anything like this even if they started really really early in the 70s doing this
