Accurate enough review. III is a very satisfying album by an artist who really has nothing to prove: McCartney is a true living legend (the man's a Beatle after all, a BEATLE!!!). He is a multi-instrumentalist, great ear for melody and harmony, and plays a mean, rhythmic bass like nobody's business (pretty solid drums too;-). What always astounds me is his incredible career from 1970 to 2020. So many albums. So many songs. So many tours and so many truly great moments. Then you remember Paul McCartney was also a member of the greatest most successful band in musical history BEFORE he embarked on his career which he launched at the age of 28. @@TrackXTrack Definitely refreshing to hear a new album from him that's not so over produced like Egypt Station! I loved Egypt Station but songs like "Fuh You" were just.. not that great.
When Winter Comes- Paul's in 'Good Voice' because it was recorded during Flaming Pie sessions in 97. On the early release, I KNEW that this was not a current track due to the richness of his vocals. Sure enough, this has been out in different forms over the years.
@@TrackXTrack I agree on "Egypt Station" Overproduced, and too much of everything. "I dont know" is classic McCartney though. A really great song which was worth the whole album for me.
I believe that George Martin was the best producer that Paul ever came in contact with. And George Martin is listed as one of the producers on the only song on this new album that I like : "When Winter Comes" - that was recorded back in 1992. Does anybody have more information about this song - and how it came about ? To me it sounds as if it could have been written in the early 70's.
@@tomrogerlilleby2890 When winter comes was recorded by Paul in 1992. Why is has remained unreleased so far is an enigma to me. One of the best songs Paul has released since the Beatles.
I would give this album an 85 , a solid B on first impression. He still is viable as an artist , not breaking ground but more then holding his own. A pleasant surprise.
Not even being a true Paul McCartney "superfan," I am thoroughly enjoying this album. In fact, I haven't (and can't) stopped listening since its release. I gain a new favorite cut with each listen. I must say that his aged voice is gorgeous and so vulnerable sounding. I much prefer it, I do believe. III is perfect in my eyes and in my ears. Thanks for the review! With each liste
There's a few songs on this album that will grow on me just like Paul McCartney II! I think all in all it's a very solid album but when it becomes Apples to Apples McCartney one will always be my all-time favorite!
I definitely think this is his best album in 15 years, since Chaos and Creation. With that being said, I really love Egypt Station as well - it flows as an album, and I think it's a lot of fun. I also agree that the first track on McCartney III is the best - it's fantastic.
Deep Down is one of best Macca songs in 21st century, it really is for all time Paul fans. Overall it’s an incredible listen and I feel although there are best and second best songs there are no filler, Paul still got the magic and it fits in his discography perfectly. I would give to 8,5-9/10 and I definitely feel it in top 5 albums of the year, cheers and seize the day everybody 😃
Loved your review here! - actually, its not 'ALL' Paul on this latest effort! - One of the heavy Guitar tracks are played by his Guitarist he uses in the band!
Very well thought out review. I’m really looking forward to hearing the sound of pure McCartney again. I’ve always thought he was a great self-producer. It must be tragic to a degree to have had the absolutely effortless vocal gift he once had, and as it fades, to still have the same level of creativity. To hear how you want it to sound in your head, but the voice which was so absolutely incredible, just not there to match.
You know, he sounds surprisingly good on several of the tracks, especially the last song, "When Winter Comes." I don't know if it is digital production trickery or what, but he really does sound impossibly good on that song... but not so much on a couple others.
Believe me, the level of creativity has gone down too. If you compare the one older song on the album ('When Winter Comes', recorded in 1992) it's painfully clear how much more intricate his chords and melodies used to be. Now it's all very simple, to the point where it's cringeworthy. But no one seems to want to say that out loud. We all love him. And he can do whatever he wants. But I'm sad he is fading, and doing so in the spotlights. He doesn't deserve that.
@@TrackXTrack absolutely! 4 of them are from his website, there is a yellow one from Third Man, and the Green is a Target exclusive. how many more variants are there?! lol
I would disagree about McCartney and Dylan being by themselves. I would add in Brian Wilson. His last album had a lot of good music on it. Brian changed the music world as much as anyone.
Wilson did not have the supporting cast that Paul did. Paul took inspiration where he found it. Same with Wilson but I think Sir Paul had the personality to handle it easier than did Brian. I love them both.
I think Dylan, Mccartney and Wilson are all great but honestly, paul mccartney was a triple threat, he wrote music, he wrote lyrics, and he sang it like a bird. Bob Dylan an incredible songwriter both music and lyrics, but not a great singer, others sing his music better than he does. Brian Wilson is incredible with music but someone else wrote all his lyrics, he was also a great singer great voice, but they don’t tell us enough that Asher wrote his lyrics not him.
I appreciated the critique of this album. It's a refreshing change from the many comments just fawning over him. A few tracks have disappointed me to be honest, but overall looking forward to receiving a copy for Christmas.
Great review for a great album! Congrats and long live Sir Paul. (I do love Pretty Boys and Woman and Wives though, precisely because that "old" feel in his voice makes me emotional)
Nicely expressed observations and review. Thanks! As McCartney’s voice weakens (understandably ) with age, I wonder if he’d be willing to partner up with a different vocalist or set of vocalists (I’m thinking how Elvis C did so well with Burt Bacharach). Paul’s sense of inventive melody creation seems to be as good as ever. I look forward to checking this album out!
I must admit I was surprised how strong Paul's voice sounded on many of the tracks, and yet on "Pretty Boys" and "Women and Wives" he sounded much more his age. I wonder if there's some enhancement going on to improve his vocal quality on some of the songs, or if maybe he just has some days where he's vocally stronger than others. I mean, he sounds FANTASTIC on the last track, "When Winter Comes"... so much so that I actually wondered if the performance had been hidden away for a decade or two!
One review I read said his voice sounding old on Pretty Boys was intentional because of the subject matter - boy bands or male models. Been there done that so to speak. Makes sense to me.
I wasn't going to give this album the time of day, never having been much of a McCartney solo albums fan. But after your review, Kyle, I now will have to take the time to give it a listen. Not sure I like that or not....but you've convinced me to do so.
LOL! If you’re not much of a McCartney fan, I don’t know if this album will change your mind. Still, there’s a few songs that are pretty out of character for him, so who knows?
I agree with you about 80% of your review of McCartney III. I like the old man McCartney voice on Women and Wives. In a lyrical content way it has a Things We Said Today vibe to it. In the last lyrical line of the first verse when Paul sings chasing tomorrow, for a moment it sounds like Paul is going to start singing the Neil Diamond song saw Solitary Man. Lavatory Lil reminds me of one of the cool rockers from Back to the Egg. I’m glad you like Deep Deep Feeling. The length of a song I have no trouble with. In fact, I wish it had been a little bit longer ‘cause I could use more of it. This song reminds me of Phil Collins In The Year Tonight which has that mood and structured to it. Overall and McCartney III is a great conclusion and to the trilogy of albums. Lastly, I liked the outside producers for Egypt Station.
Honestly, what you're saying about the producers is my sentiments exactly! Great album, fits the Zeitgeist and you feel the love of the artist for his music.
Women And Wives is my favourite song up till now. I love the dark atmosphere and his old voice fits perfectly on this. But I need to listen this album many more times, you don’t understand a "McCartney" album just listening once or twice, each time you listen (even the other ones) you realize something new
a surprisingly good album. Liked your review. Pretty creative with the color changing die and pips, Clever, Bet these are previews of all the variant vinyls that can be purchased, HAHAHAHA.
Really nice review, the best I've seen so far. I'm pretty sure Winter bird has been mastered with an old voice track as some other tracks on the album (slidin' for example, even with the reverb in it) Unfortunately I think his present voice is more like the one on Women and Wives. We all age there's no problem about that but I can't help it, it keeps me out of the music, sometimes he nearly seems out of breath. Sliding is awesome by the way, he should have introduced the album with this track and a great music video. That would have been a cracking come back.
I’ve listened to it a few times today and I actually have no problem with anything on this album. It was way better than I expected and it’s probably the best thing he’s done in decades.
Paul would have to let Rick be Rick in order for that to be great. I would LOVE to see it happen, but I have a feeling Paul would not give Rick enough creative control for the project to reach it's full potential.
Maybe so..He did with Nigel Godrich, I heard it was difficult at times, but that's a really good album I think.. in that session McCartney took a song in and Godrich didn't think the lyrics were up to scratch and told him.. he didn't like it at 1st but realised Godrich had the best of intentions.. also Elvis Costello..
@@riddellthomas2185 Riddell I agree "Chaos" is his best album and was hoping Paul would work with him again the next album but then we get "Memory Almost Full" with producer David Kahne, the guy that produced Paul's worst album "Driving Rain". It would be nice for Paul to work with producers that aren't yes men like Godrich.

New to your channel and I have subbed. Your review was refreshing and honest.a couple songs I was on the fence about was the instrumental and deep deep feeling which I thought like you said just went on a tad too long but it was still a good song.I've been watching these four lads since February 9th 1964 when I first saw them on Ed Sullivan at my grandparents house in front of their tv set. What a long journey it has been that's for sure. Last night I pulled out four McCartney CDs. I do consider the fireman CD from 2008 a McCartney CD and I played all four of these CDs last night back to back. The four CDs were 2008 electric arguments 2013's new 2018 Egypt station and 2020s McCartney 3. 'New' is my favorite CD out of the four. I was kind of surprised listening to Electric Arguments since it's been a while that I like that album better than I do Egypt station. Three good songs on Egypt station, other than that that album in my opinion is flat. I give McCartney lll a B+. Thank you for your review.
It has been a long time since I listened to Electric Arguments! I need to pull that out and revisit it again soon! As for Egypt Station, I seem to recall there being a few better tracks added on the deluxe edition that came out several months later. Still, not an album I've returned to very much since then.
These tracks will stick in your brain, yep I can hear the older Johnny cash also George ezra feel to a few tracks, and a multicultural feel to the whole album. Great stuff from the only pop artist who can sit next to Elvis and Lennon in the hall of fame in 200 years time
Fantastic Review. I really love this in depth look at Macca's new album. Kyle you are just amazing here. Glad you gave it an 8. Sigh of relief. I'm down to get the the Vinyl version. Whooosh!
I give it a 10; regardless of the singing voice on the 2 song reflection. The songs were original; and top notch. Mc Cartney III; is a must have. Your cd\album ROCKS!!....Paul.
Thanks for the review. I personally think this is a really enjoyable album. I'm not an ultra McCartney fan and view new releases with slight trepidation, but was sucked into McCartney III from the start, such a great intro. Find my way is great pop, Women and Wives and Pretty Boys are great melodically and Deep Deep Feeling where he tries again to push boundaries. I like Slidin and Seize the Day but Kiss of Venus is growing on me. YES his voice is weaker now but I think he is trying to adapt it which in turn may influence the songs he writes moving forward. Overall I enjoy this because it is Pure McCartney doing what song writers do, fiddle about until a tune emerges, and I for one think that's fab! PS What is Kool Aid?
Hi Kyle. This is another excellent review and makes me very keen to hear the album. Looking forward to your 2020 round-up and hope that’s on the way. Take care. Stephen
I’ve been thinking about my top ten for 2020 and am glad I didn’t do it early like a lot of sites do. McCartney will certainly make the list! Stay tuned for that in the next couple weeks!
The genius of making sound and music is still there in mccartney III, however i missed his old cool, silly, rocky voice that makes him great yesterday, let it be, hey jude, long and winding road, helter skelter, lady madonna,in beatles and my love, band on the run, little luck in wings.
Kyle, let me say that "Lavatory Lil" sounds a bit of a cross between Polythene Pam, Egypt Station's Who Cares, and guitar riffs that sound like they could have come from the White Album. I also think that When Winter Comes the vocals sound like he recorded them years ago, and sort of "refreshed" the song and ultimately recorded it for this album.
What I've heard since recording the video is that the vocal for "When Winter Comes" was indeed recorded years ago, which is why it sounds so much younger.
I've been trying to avoid hearing any of the music, as the LP is a Christmas gift from my wife... I'm not big on Paul's solo catalog. Most of his albums I think are just plain bad...up to and including, Egypt Station. So, I own just a few...with RAM I feel being his best album...still holds up. Yesterday, I got the 2 LP reissue of, Flaming Pie, and as I have not played the CD version in years, I forgot how good that album is... One of the very few he has made that is as complete and consistent work he has ever recorded. Thanks for the review...looking forward to hearing my copy on Xmas day.
I think Paul has had a lot of peaks and valleys - he stumbled a bit with McCartney 1, then RAM was sensational, then Wild Life blew chunks of puke and lumpy gravy all over the radio dial, then Red Rose Speedway was a step in the right direction with BAND ON THE RUN being a masterpiece. THEN, all the Wings albums were so fantastic, McCartney II was a bit low key, then Tug of War was another masterpiece. Pipes of Peace should have been called "Piles of Poo", and Broad Street was abysmal, but he was on the right track with Press To Play before he came out with, what? ANOTHER MASTERPIECE, Flowers in the Dirt...See, I know it's just your personal opinion that the albums were just plain bad and I respect that, but many of the songs from those albums are so catchy, it would be bad to shut yourself off from something great or even fun you might be missing. (I want to listen to Nowhere Man right now) Hell, as bad as Pipes of Peace really is, it's still fun to mock, to listen to ironically. No song creeps me out more than "The Man". Now THAT is a guilty pleasure with locked doors, darkened lights, headphones, sheets over your head so not even God knows it's you listening to it.
@@farrellmcnulty909 I'm not missing out on anything... I've heard them all...sure, it's all subjective, but most of his catalog, to me, is not good. I'm good with the 4 or 5 that I have...plus the new one in a few days.
Others have probably already pointed this out, but Winter Bird sees Paul in “good voice” because, at least according to the interwebs, the vocal was recorded back in the 1990s.
Stupid idiot. That's like saying I like racing driver, Jackie Stewart's erratic driving, now he's old. It don't matter that he nearly ran somebody over. Your a fool!
listen to this stuff a FEW more times... It is really contagious stuff... It's really, really good - the voice grows on you like you wouldn't believe. This is far better stuff - truly authentic. It's a grower. Women and Wives is awesome - you are wrong there! His voice is totally cool.
I'm not drinking the kool-aid. Been around since 1970. Lots of highs and lows. This is just another low. I'm going to go now and listen to 1970's McCartney.
@@TrackXTrack Dude...I think you need to explore The Beach Boys more. Wilson was just as genius as McCartney. His musical and vocal arrangements are far superior to Dylan. While Dylan is also a great folk song writer, his musicianship is nowhere near Wilson. Good videos by the way.
I wish Paul had pushed it further, but I don't like what EOB did with it. The new rhythm is way too Radiohead (of course) and less glam rock. I don't mind the extra distortion, but there's a bunch of noise added as well that turns it into a sonic mess. The bridge feels fresh, I will say that. That was the one part of the EOB mix that made my ears perk up.
I can't agree with your review more, I favor the more upbeat songs, Long Tailed; Find My Way; Lav Lil; Slidin'; Kiss of Venus and Deep Down. I like When Winter Comes, but really not understanding why he stuck this Flaming Pie out-take to the end of this album, but, ok. For me, this beats out both Macca I & II albums.
Great review, for me the highlights of the album are the rock songs, Slidin is a kick ass song and lavatory lil is fantastic too. I really like Deep deep feeling Paul gets out of his comfort zone and gives us a gem, Deep Down I liked it a lot too. He is the man !!
Agree - Dylan is a super great poet - but other people do his songs better than Dylan does his songs. Paul is a melodic genius and entertains me to no end - and if anyone listens to the solo careers of his Beatles mates - the early material has that McCartney bass influence. And as the years go by - and the McCartney influence fades - so do the solo careers. McCarthey was the most loyal to the fans - and his work ethic is evident - all-around good fellow - so many people are like me - and would just love to hang out with him - but way too many fans for that to happen in a lifetime. Paul's father lived well into his 90's - so there is a chance that Paul will be around for a McCartney Four. At the split of the Beatles - when RAM was released - after listening to that album for the first time - and put it back into the sleeve - I said then - McCartney will prevail over all the other guys - I predicted it right then - and here we are - I also concluded that the press was all wrong and the critics were worthless and if not down right dishonest.

Love the review. Listened to the album a few times now and I'm loving it. Nearly every track is fantastic. At 78, he's blown me away in the way that it's 100% him. And Ringo is coming out with a new EP in March 2021! Will be looking forward to your review when the time comes.
It’s so great to hear Paul on his own without all the outside producers!
@@TrackXTrack Definitely refreshing to hear a new album from him that's not so over produced like Egypt Station! I loved Egypt Station but songs like "Fuh You" were just.. not that great.
@@TrackXTrack YES!!!!
When Winter Comes- Paul's in 'Good Voice' because it was recorded during Flaming Pie sessions in 97. On the early release, I KNEW that this was not a current track due to the richness of his vocals. Sure enough, this has been out in different forms over the years.
One of the good things about this album is that Paul is doing his own production. Paul is the best one to produce to himself.
I agree
@@TrackXTrack I agree on "Egypt Station" Overproduced, and too much of everything. "I dont know" is classic McCartney though. A really great song which was worth the whole album for me.
I believe that George Martin was the best producer that Paul ever came in contact with.
And George Martin is listed as one of the producers on the only song on this new album
that I like : "When Winter Comes" - that was recorded back in 1992.
Can't agree as he gets too blinkered. He's at best working with someone as his catalogue proves.
Thank you. Great review. My fav song is Women and wives! And I love the whole album.
It is a strong album!
I would give this album an 85 , a solid B on first impression. He still is viable as an artist , not breaking ground but more then holding his own. A pleasant surprise.
A pleasant surprise indeed! Exceeded my expectations!
Listen again in a few days - and then again - and I bet you'll change your mind. I'll put money on it.
At 76 his album of original music premiere at number 1. Let that sink in.
He will prob hit number one again with this album.
Paul is 78
@@squatch545 re-read my post.
@@gbirtz You weren't talking about McCartney III ?
@@squatch545 McCartney III has not beeb released yet amd is not on any charts. The first reply by Track x makes my post pretty clear.
Yes, it is a surprisingly strong album! Glad you enjoyed it too!
What about the NEW album ? Love that a lot !
I agree! How does he do this?
Deep Down is one of best Macca songs in 21st century, it really is for all time Paul fans. Overall it’s an incredible listen and I feel although there are best and second best songs there are no filler, Paul still got the magic and it fits in his discography perfectly. I would give to 8,5-9/10 and I definitely feel it in top 5 albums of the year, cheers and seize the day everybody 😃
Seize the day!
Great review. Upon first listen, I also surprisingly favored "Deep Down". And apparently "When Winter Comes" is a recording from 1992.
Yes, someone commented a few days ago about "When Winter Comes" being from a while ago, which explains why he sounds so good on that song
@@TrackXTrack Yes, the voice distinction is clearly there and it’s one of my favorite tracks, which kinda makes me sad.
Loved your review here! - actually, its not 'ALL' Paul on this latest effort! - One of the heavy Guitar tracks are played by his Guitarist he uses in the band!
Yeah, Paul cheated a little on the album. LOL! I believe there were a couple outside contributions on McCartney I and II as well, if memory serves.
@@TrackXTrack the vocals on When Winter Comes were recorded in 1992
Believe me, the level of creativity has gone down too.
I LOVED Slidin and Lavatory Lil!!!
great review. nice touch on the dice color variants through the video too.
Thanks for noticing! ;)
@@TrackXTrack absolutely! 4 of them are from his website, there is a yellow one from Third Man, and the Green is a Target exclusive. how many more variants are there?! lol
I was actually going to include a fake one in purple to see if anyone would notice, but I decided to keep them all real.
I would disagree about McCartney and Dylan being by themselves. I would add in Brian Wilson. His last album had a lot of good music on it. Brian changed the music world as much as anyone.
I'll grant consideration to Brian Wilson. He was a giant.
And until recently L Cohen
@@TrackXTrack How about Stevie Wonder?
I appreciated the critique of this album. It's a refreshing change from the many comments just fawning over him. A few tracks have disappointed me to be honest, but overall looking forward to receiving a copy for Christmas.
I try to keep it honest on this channel. Nobody gets a free pass, including legends like Paul McCartney.
Great review for a great album! Congrats and long live Sir Paul.
(I do love Pretty Boys and Woman and Wives though, precisely because that "old" feel in his voice makes me emotional)
Long live Macca!
@@TrackXTrack the last track is taken from an outtake from the same day that Calico Skies, and Great Day were recorded for Flaming Pie
That would explain it!
Great review Kyle. Im really looking forward to getting my copy on Friday.
Thanks! Hope you dig it!
Thanks for the review. I look forward to checking it out.
Worth a listen for sure!
One review I read said his voice sounding old on Pretty Boys was intentional because of the subject matter - boy bands or male models. Been there done that so to speak. Makes sense to me.
That may be true
Love this record. Stands on its own. Great review

Well said!
Bring this album on - I'm READY for Macca III.
Yes!!
Great review ! I don't agree with every word, but it's refreshing to hear such detail and commitment to what you do !
I appreciate that!
I think McCartney 3 is quite reminiscent in style of the last Fireman album .
Really appreciate your review. It was very professional and informative. Now really looking forward to listening to it.
Hope you enjoy it!
Honestly, what you're saying about the producers is my sentiments exactly!
Great album, fits the Zeitgeist and you feel the love of the artist for his music.
Exactly
Always great quality reviews!
Love your channel
Much appreciated!
An awesome Paul album - much better than Egypt Station
Yes, I agree.
Thanks for noticing that sly trick with the die. :)
"Slidin'" would have been a great lead single! Very unexpected sound from Paul!
I’ve listened to it a few times today and I actually have no problem with anything on this album. It was way better than I expected and it’s probably the best thing he’s done in decades.
The album exceeded my expectations as well!
Hi Kyle - can you do an unboxing of NIN year zero cd (I know it’s old)? Just because it’s a very cool package with lots of nice details....
It is very cool, I agree, but I don't think I'd do an unboxing of an older album like that. Perhaps if NIN does a special edition I would do that!
Great review..I am excited to pick this album up on December 18th..Now I am even more excited...glen kellaway
Hope you dig it!
I'd love to see McCartney team up with Rick Rubin
Paul would have to let Rick be Rick in order for that to be great. I would LOVE to see it happen, but I have a feeling Paul would not give Rick enough creative control for the project to reach it's full potential.
Maybe so..He did with Nigel Godrich, I heard it was difficult at times, but that's a really good album I think.. in that session McCartney took a song in and Godrich didn't think the lyrics were up to scratch and told him.. he didn't like it at 1st but realised Godrich had the best of intentions.. also Elvis Costello..
Announced today he is working with him...
...on a documentary about his musical journey.
@@blachubear definitely... I've only ever bought two McCartney albums, Ram and Chaos .... so I'm not a McCartney expert... but those albums stood out to me of the ones I've heard.. having said all that, I could live with writing with one of his ok albums 😁

His high notes on Deep Down are really impressive. Deep Deep Feeling and Slidin were my favs. And btw Im pretty sure I read Kiss of Venus and one other song were recorded in the 90's. I swear i've heard Kiss of Venus before but cant remember where
Not sure about Kiss of Venus, but it would not surprise me if you were right!
Other singers his age were lucky not to loose their voice: Tomes Jones, Mick Jagger, etc.
And Bob Dylan and the late Leonard Cohen used their aging voices to their advantage

Paul has done endless touring since the beginning of this century - that probably hasn't helped
Great stuff from the only pop artist who can sit next to
Elvis and Lennon in the hall of fame in 200 years time
Honest review. Thank you.
You're welcome!
Who do you think is the best composer if you include both dead and living?
Gershwin.
@@TrackXTrack ok. In pop/rock?
Well, the Lennon/McCartney combo would probably be my top pick, followed by Dylan and then Elvis Costello and Stevie Wonder.
I agree with you on the two first places. Thank you for answering. I never listened to Gershwin, so I guess I have to check him out now.
Really nice well thought out and honest review. Paul is one of my all time favorite artists. I look forward to listening to it. Thank you Kyle!
You’re welcome! Hope you enjoy the album even more than I did!

Good choice on the Japanese edition! Thanks for watching!
Fantastic Review. I really love this in depth look at Macca's new album. Kyle you are just amazing here. Glad you gave it an 8. Sigh of relief. I'm down to get the the Vinyl version. Whooosh!
I was very pleasantly surprised by this album! Happy to give it a strong rating!
I give it a 10; regardless of the singing voice on the 2 song reflection. The songs were original; and top notch. Mc Cartney III; is a must have. Your cd\album ROCKS!!....Paul.
I agree it is pretty great!
Take care. Stephen

Hope you enjoy it!
(I want to listen to Nowhere Man right now)
Hell, as bad as Pipes of Peace really is, it's still fun to mock, to listen to ironically. No song creeps me out more than "The Man". Now THAT is a guilty pleasure with locked doors, darkened lights, headphones, sheets over your head so not even God knows it's you listening to it.
@@TrackXTrack it HAS to be better than M II....
@@farrellmcnulty909 I'm not missing out on anything... I've heard them all...sure, it's all subjective, but most of his catalog, to me, is not good.
I'm good with the 4 or 5 that I have...plus the new one in a few days.
Great review!
Thanks!
I didn't even know about I and II, but probably recognise the album covers.
Yes, the cover for McCartney I is a classic
Others have probably already pointed this out, but Winter Bird sees Paul in “good voice” because, at least according to the interwebs, the vocal was recorded back in the 1990s.
Yes, several have mentioned this, which I was unaware of. It obviously explains the difference in the vocal!
Bob Dylan’s 2020 album is better.
But I do like how McCartney did everything on his own. His own vision & instrumentation.
I agree, but both are pretty great
The magical Mystery Paul!!!!
I like that Paul sounds "old" on some tracks...he embraces it.....
Stupid idiot. That's like saying I like racing driver, Jackie Stewart's erratic driving, now he's old. It don't matter that he nearly ran somebody over. Your a fool!

I appreciate that!
@@TrackXTrack You should review my music! What is your next review?
listen to this stuff a FEW more times... It is really contagious stuff... It's really, really good - the voice grows on you like you wouldn't believe. This is far better stuff - truly authentic. It's a grower. Women and Wives is awesome - you are wrong there! His voice is totally cool.
Great review, Kyle! I will have to check out McCartney 3. I liked how the dice changed color throughout the video. 🎲
Thanks for noticing my little dice trick!
I'm not drinking the kool-aid. Been around since 1970. Lots of highs and lows. This is just another low. I'm going to go now and listen to 1970's McCartney.
Hi Kyle - good review.
Hey, thanks!
What about Brian Wilson?
He's great, but still a notch below McCartney and Dylan
@@TrackXTrack Dude...I think you need to explore The Beach Boys more. Wilson was just as genius as McCartney. His musical and vocal arrangements are far superior to Dylan. While Dylan is also a great folk song writer, his musicianship is nowhere near Wilson. Good videos by the way.
You will be happy with the EOB mix of "Slidin'", won't you? It sounds the way, you did wish in December 2020 in your video here... ;-)
Nice delivery and prompt reading. Rolling stone should hire you drop the people who say “like” every other word
Thanks! I appreciate the compliment!
Well thought out review.
Thanks!
PAUL MCCARTNEY PERFECT ALBUM PERFECT
I can't agree with your review more, I favor the more upbeat songs, Long Tailed; Find My Way; Lav Lil; Slidin'; Kiss of Venus and Deep Down. I like When Winter Comes, but really not understanding why he stuck this Flaming Pie out-take to the end of this album, but, ok. For me, this beats out both Macca I & II albums.
Too soon for me to say how it ranks with I & II, but it is a strong album regardless
Great review, for me the highlights of the album are the rock songs, Slidin is a kick ass song and lavatory lil is fantastic too. I really like Deep deep feeling Paul gets out of his comfort zone and gives us a gem, Deep Down I liked it a lot too. He is the man !!
Paul is a legend for a reason!
Awesome video!
Thanks!
Best review
Thanks!
I think Bob Dylan is overrated. He was great, but nowhere near the talent of Paul McCartney.
Right, I thought he was really reaching there ... (just mistaken actually.)
good job with the review though.
I think B Dylan is dreadful
Absolutely
I see the Nine Inch Nails albums on the shelf behind you!...EXCELLENT taste!
They're one of my favorites!
