Wow!! It's so refreshing to see how you took it upon yourself and learned what you needed to give Zara the trainer she needed!! Wonderful challenge! And you are having your victories that you've earned!!! Yayyy!!🎉🎉
Thank you!!!! 😁
Without those downs, you can't have ups. The more downs she has now just means more ups later. Horses just like people are not made perfect. But it is those imperfections that will make Zara the horse she will become. It will also keep you on that positive learning curve. Together, you and Zara will be destined for great things. Just keep looking where you want Zara to go and she will get you there.
I can’t wait for the upcoming series! Honestly, your timing couldn’t be better. The past two years I’ve been really struggling with my two horses. Things like yard sourness, separation anxiety, bolting, health issues, sweet itch, all those delightful things. I was trying all the methods. Positive reinforcement and negative reinforcement as well as the in between. But I felt like everything I tried was making things worse. I also had a lot going on in my personal life. So I decided to take a break, and am only now getting back into it, and I have to say… I think that it’s the best thing I could have done. It was like pressing the reset button. It’s amazing how sometimes just spending time with them, feeding and taking care of your horses can vastly improve your bond. I’ve been doing things with them recently that would have freaked them out last year; it’s been such an improvement! I’m so glad I didn’t give up hope, even if there’s still a long journey ahead.
(Sorry if this was a little ranty 😅)
Also, I’m curious about the barn move… will we find out about that soon?
Oh no! Poor Zara! I hope she gets better soon. You are the exact equestrian I wanna be :D
I feel you. Zäna was not easy to work with because she was more reactive and wary. I sometimes felt like I didn’t know what to do but giving up on her was never an option. A little over a year later; Zäna is doing so much better and we are making some real progress. I also paid for some training assistance and it helped me get unstuck as well. So congrats to you and Zara and I can’t wait to see more of your journey together! You still inspire me.
I haven't watched the entire thing yet, but I hope she's ok!
Edit: So I'm assuming her eyelid scratch is better now, I hope it is, it looks like the kind of thing that hurt every time she blinked. :( Also you're so close to 100k! Keep up the amazing work!
Hi Marina! You dont know me, but i just wanted to say your doing an amazing job.
Admitting you need help with a horse isnt easy, and when you do, but others cant help you, makes it frustrating.
But im happy to see you still pushing through to train Zara!
Just remember, not every trained horse looks the same. Just focus on the here and now, and have fun while training!!!
I love, train, and own mustangs too. Sometimes they remind us that they were not born to be human property, but that they are to be friends and partners instead.
I wish you and Zara well, and i love seeing you push through to help another mustang!!❤
How exciting!!! Good job Marina, can't wait to see your progress! 🌟
Yay Zara content so exciting
You’re amazing. I love seeing more of your journey ❤️
get well Zara!!❤️🩹
Yay!! You’ll be such an awesome trainer for Zara.
You should post more often! ❤ I love your videos, and I wish I could see them every day 💜
Oh poor Zara! Get well soon baby!
You are definitely an inspiration! After all you went through you never gave up! That's why I stayed subbed for soooo long because I believed in you!!!! Love you!!!!!!
I'm so proud of your dedication! I've always felt like there was something special about Zara, so I'm thrilled to hear that you guys are pushing through!
Hi I’m so so happy that you are feeling better and that you are working with the horses again can’t wait for next week ps I’m your biggest fan ❤❤❤
Because of a difficult horse I too invested in learning natural horsemanship for some years. It was such a good investment. Today that difficult mare is a retired sweetheart, and I’m on to my next difficult horse. From working with both of these horses I have learned soooo much.
I can't be there and happy that she's actually starting to upload more ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ !!!!!!!
Ohh I'm so excited to see what work you did to get where you are! I've been a bit stuck - not my horse, ME 😂 So excited to see where you are with Zara now!
Oh no hope she get well soon! Btw i have been a fan and subscriber for over 3 years know keep up the great content!!!!!!
Don’t give up my horse was like that when we got him and just keep going and keep persevering with her Zara is beautiful❤❤❤❤❤❤
Zara IS so cute❤ I Hope you get better soon😊😊
I hope your future training goes well
You are probably the only R+ trainer i like, congrats
Watching this on my 21st makes me so happy
I have had horses/been around all my life. The problem is that when you find "That" horse, it changes you. When I lost Compass, I was never the same again, the hurt was too bad. I have lost relatives and beloved friends, and it is very much the same thing. Worse by far than losing a dog.
There's always that one animal that's your best friend, be it a dog OR horse, and when you lose them you can never be the same. That's how I am with my cat Snake, I lost him and a piece of myself that day.
Im so happy thay you get yo see Zara again
Poor baby! I feel you. My horse got EPM last year. Riding was dangerous and was caused because of his EPM. We treated him with herbal treatments
And we stopped it increase. He’s a totally different horse even teaching my friends lessons he been amazing. So don’t give up!! Zara is in our prayers
I love hearing this. My horse was just diagnosed with EPM this week so I'm starting him on a holistic treatment protocol when it all comes in. I can't wait for him to be back to 100%! He got really spooky and dangerous to ride too😢
@@laurenw1168 Awe thank you! I’m glad it helped encourage you ❤️
Oh no, I hope he gets better! Yeah same with mine, he’s amazing now tho! You could never recognize him now 💕
hi i can feel u so mush i have trained my own horse from day 1 and there where so many ups and down he is now 6 a is also very sensitive he still will not load in the trailer that we have we are still trying a lot of things but any kind of horse has a potenchel to be a great horse🥰🥰🥰
We need more Zara updates!! 😊
I’ve got ALOT coming!
Good!!
Not that long ago my horse cut her nose, luckily we had a vet nearby, but I do not do good with blood so I almost through up. My horse has made a wonderful recovery and all that is left is a small scar to show her bravery. I hope your horse make a wonderful recovery too. BTW love your videos ❤️❤️
I'm glad she's okay!
I started my whole instagram page and everything else because I also have a mustang that struggled a LOT. She sat at a tip trainers for 7 months untouched with the tip trainer saying she should go to a sanctuary because she was dangerous. After moving her to a new environment where people weren’t treating her like a demon and I could work with her daily and observe her I got a halter on her and she went so fast. Unfortunately at the time I was out of my depth and didn’t even know how to begin to introduce a saddle to a mustang. I thought because she took a bareback pad and a surcingle fine that a saddle was the next step and boy was I wrong. I asked way too much and scared the living hell out of her. It made me sit back and rethink so much of what I was doing and how I approached her training. I let her avoid all things saddle and blanket for about a year now and we are starting to reintroduce the concepts. Not every horse is a 90 day horse and I think it’s a lot to expect of them to be that! I used to see the moment I got a halter on my mare as catch up time because we had spent almost a year getting there. She paid a price for that mindset and I had to learn to adjust and look at things through a different lens and I’m so glad for it even though I had to learn to her expense. She made me who I am and will continue to shape me as a horsewoman :)
Woah! The thumbnail scared me! I hope shes okay. I love Zara more than kazi (shhh dont tell her!) But Zurrel will always have my heart. Love you and your babies! (Animals ofc!)
get well soon zara
Camille’s Brutus comes to mind when talking about hard to gain trust and train
Yes! And they are from the same HMA!
Talk about a God-Sent video. I’ve hit that wall with my 5 yo mare and I am so excited for next week’s video. Thank you SO SO much for sharing your story! There’s a verse I’ve been clinging to lately and this video just made me think of it: Trials worketh patience; and patience, experience; and experience, hope (Romans 5:3-4).

I never clicked this fast
Zara is a beautiful horse! I hope the cut above her eye isn't too serious.
My horse did the same thing he cut his eyelid open and he had to have stitches and we board our horses so after a week went by he started being turned out and the people who would take the halter off of him they didn’t watch his eyes and they ripped the stitches out of his eyes so we had to have more stitches. I hope Zara is OK.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊
Yyayyayayayyay early❤❤❤❤
Did she go with her friends on the big mustang adventure trip? Or did the accident delay it?
2mins❤❤❤
How is Zara's eyelid now?
do you feel like the conflicting training style of the other trainer was setting her back?
Early!
Hey Marina! Do you think selling a horse is ever the right choice? Recently I've gotten to the point with my mare where I'm barely enjoying going to see her anymore. I love that mare so very much and I've worked with her for close to 3 years now but we just don’t seem to work well together. If you have any advice I would really appreciate it. Love you marina, good luck with the mustangs ❤
Sometimes it is the right choice. Is there a problem with your mare? She might just not be the right horse for you now. Sometimes it’s hard to admit that (even to yourself) when you love an animal.
@WillowTheGreatDane There's no problems with her she's just pretty challenging sometimes. As hard as it is to admit I really don't think she's the right horse for me now.
I do believe it can be the right choice!! Every situation is so different! You would have to talk to people who know both of you and get some help with that big decision! Some things can be easily worked through with focused learning- but some times it’s just not a good fit!
@@GypsyEquestrian Thanks for the help! ❤️
I'm curious as to how old she is. Many mustangs I've worked with struggle to hold training until they turn 6.
She’s a 2017
