So sweet! I wish there was somewhere close I could bring my gelding to swim... Sand wise I find it's best to just wait for their coat to dry and then you can curry comb it out. When it's wet it clings no matter what.

When you said Kazi was gonna be sold for April fools I believed it and started crying I wanted kazi to stay in my heart
This is so amazing to watch. I hope I'll be able to do that with my gelding one day. He's a rescue and scared to step out of his pen but we're working on it. And it's so great to see the amazing things you do with Kazi even though she's retired. That's what a horses life is supposed to be like!

I would recommend a flea comb to get the sand out it worked pretty well for me love you, Kazi, and Xena!

A little tip to get the sand of a horse: wait for it to dry because when its dry easier to get the sand of with a brush. The dust that is left can be washed out with water.

I like the coconut oil idea for getting the sand out. But I bet a fine toothed comb through her coat along with the coconut oil or when her coat is dry would at least help. Or try back combing when her coat is dry so the hair can kinda flick the sand out and then brush with the coat with a soft brush to get it all off....maybe.
