Dom DeLuise’s toupee was the funniest thing about that clip. Burt was sexy but Dom, was hysterically funny! They’re both in Heaven now making everyone there laugh.

I watched this movie in the theater with two friends. After this scene I was picturing Dom Deluise smashed so flat that he had to roll down his socks to shit. I was cracking up and couldn't stop, then my one friend started, then the other one, then the whole section of the theater. It went on for quite awhile.
Burt really was hot as hell
Him and Don really had great comedic chemistry
Kayla Perkins They were great together. Especially in Cannonball Run, The End, Smokey and the Bandit II. Burt absolutely loved Dom and Vice Versa.

I want to tell you...I know it’s a movie but I truly hate that Dom’s character acting like an upset baby was able to have the whorehouse shut down that was open for decades. That really bothered me, ya know?
Dom DeLuise, is terrific all through this film as are all the characters Dolly Burt and Dom what a team.
The most Texan thing about this clip is the two old folks on the picnic bench not reacting at all to their Sheriff firing off a six shooter in front of the town hall!

These were the days when you'd sit with your grandma singing the lyrics, also singing them in (school) as well getting into trouble and having no clue why. The world has become so demonetized you have to be careful of everything you say. I miss these days so bad I'd give anything to go back just for one day.

This incident was based off Sheriff TJ Flournoy assaulting Marvin Zindler of KTRK. The sheriff beat up Zindler, broke his ribs, and ripped off his wig. Zindler said the saving grace was that the sheriff didn't go for his gun.

The first episodes of The Dukes were filmed in Conyers, GA. When the show quickly became a hit, filming was moved to California.

Marvin Zindler did do some good work. Traveling around Houston Texas busting unclean restaurants. With Roaches and Rat Droppings. I didn’t care for his character in this movie however. Albeit a true story to some point. I did like Don Deluise and Burt Reynolds acting.

Actually, that sheriff would be in real trouble for violating the United States Constitution and shooting off his weapon like that. He would end up in prison.

How did he violate the constitution? The sheriff told them they were gathering without a permit and as for firing his weapon that would probably be a local crime (city or county) and since he was the highest ranking law enforcement officer in the county who is going to charge him for discharging his sidearm?

The Sheriff would be probably found guilty badmouthing a member of a TV media person and not guilty of firing a warning shot since Texas has a very lenient gun law.
