My car was too quiet and i wanted a little rumble so i cut the exhaust system that was originally there and put in 2 straight pipes and kept factory tips.
Wow this sounds amazing and the best part is that its cheap to do and you still have the stock look since these pipes look aggressive from factory. Im gonna do this to my car i just hope its not too loud.
I did the same thing to mine...sounds awesome no loss of power at all. Car even feels better. Your sounds slightly different like you changed out the resonator but you said you didn't so
I did the same thing to my car a while back and it sounded good..... for a little while. there was too much drone inside the cab. and it also had a very negative impact on the performance of the car. i highly recommend against it.
Sounds nice man. I have boral pro sx mufflers on my 06 sonata. With gutted cats. Looking to get it all straight piped with performance headers and my mufflers.

I just it got welded at body shop.. they just removed the 2 canisters...and its also a little louder because i have a cold air intake installed also

They are just pipes in the back were made into straight pipes and I have a cold air intake but Did no other mods.

It's not that bad tbh at about 2000 rpms it can be a little irritating if you hold it there but it's minimal

I didn't take off all resonators. I only removed the 2 canisters (one on each pipe) and welded pipe to connect to exhaust
