This is what I need in my life! Actual styling tips actually applied on actual bodies. I'm so sick of styling videos where the youtuber just talks through what looks good, and then proceed to model off a perfectly pulled together look that you wouldn't actually wear in real life. Subscribed!
Tbh if im gonna wear any pants or skirt thats loose fitting, I'll always tuck in my shirt. My simple rule is to never wear a baggy or flowy top with baggy bottoms.
Im slim like her (and almost same height) but heeey, we all have issues on dressing stylish, its a process, we all can learn. You know, I live in Mexico and they have issues sometimes with slim shapes! Some people always saying like heey you're so skinny, ooh but you're very skinny! (For real, Im not too skinny and it bothers me a bit 'cause for mee its difficult to win weight and to keep it, and even if I feel great with my body its sometimes stressfull to fill the steryotipes (for example its seems in Spain or California many woman have my shape) but we need to accept that theres a lot of diversity, every shape has its struggles but at the end Every shape its beautiful, we'll never make everyone happy with our looks. For some people we'll be always too dark, too skinny, too fat, annd yeah why not, too perfect! Embrace this ;) pro tip: Minimalism is a great alternative in clothing. Sorry if my english wasn't perfect. Have a nice dayy!! 🌈⚡⚡
It's crazy, but I get more compliments when I tuck my shirts in! I looked through a few of these videos and found the shirt tucking as a common theme, and it really does pull together the outfits more. I'm glad I found this channel, for sure!
I also thought most of the before outfits were perfectly fine before. They were just a different look. The after ones were also nice looking. It just depends on what look you want to go for.
Well, I admit I'm terrible at fashion, but I'd like to be better. It's just like decorating and re-arranging a room. I can't do it very well, so I'm glad there are people who are willing to provide some tips on how I can do better
It seems like you tuck in tops most of the time. I am apple shaped now, and I find that tucking and belts just make me look worse. Would you do one of these for the apple shape please?
a-lines are perfect for apple shapes. It contrasts the breast and flares at the hip- allowing you to appear thinner. Always tuck in- untuck just looks sloppy and regardless of how comfortable you feel with untuck, it actually makes you look heavier. Tucking your shirt in with high wasted skirts give the illusion of a tinier waist. I have an apple shape as well and stick with a-line skirts and dresses. I stear farrr away from jeans/pants because it highlights my actual shape.
Great tips! I didn't know how you were going to make the long flowing skirt work, but you did it! These videos are great. Subtle changes can make a mediocre outfit look so flattering and pulled together. Keep making these videos😃😃
I love the "how-to-do-better-with-your-existing-closet" vibe. Giedre almost certainly asked her models to come with a selection of their own clothes, they put together an outfit themselves, and she shows them how to do better -- with whatever is on the rack. It's a pretty amazing exercise, and most of us can do it ourselves without going shopping! Giedre, if you read this: you have some skills, girl! You are doing a great job adjusting outfits on all body types, not just your own! You look like a professional stylist, not a lawyer!
The exercise wasn't meant to find an outfit for a corporate setting. See the description of the video: "Those outfits which are perfect for casual days either you go to school, university or meet with your friends. "
I prefer almost all the "before" outfits...she looks so comfy and casual. Tucking the shirt is just not always good looking on every style and every model. That can make the legs look longer but then the bust looks too short and the figure may result a bit constricted.
that's not true, I preferred all of her "after"versions, which totally suited her best. I also discovered I follow the same rules naturally, so yeah, she did a great job.
I agree, several of the befores showed personality and youthfulness, while the afters became boring and homogenous. But more importantly, she was comfortable in the before pictures, meaning her face and body more relaxed, while she looked stressed and uneasy in the afters. Being comfortable with what you're wearing makes a big difference. So what I learnt from this is to forget style and wear what makes you happy :)
Like the long flowing skirt styling . At the end changing the shoes with the little dress with a white collar made it look like a school uniform - I think the boots looked better. Love the format of these vids.
PLEASE READ Can you do a how to build your basic wardrobe for beginners Please even if its stuff like 'choose what fits' or something i think it will help.
Could you please watch my video on "dress well 7 tips". Also, as spring is coming I am planning to make videos on how to plan your wardrobe, what to add, etc. Hope to release this type of content soon! :)
I'd say start with your "basics" in neutrals, and then add accessories, bags, shoes, ect in other colors from there. By having a bunch of "Basics" or core pieces, you have a versatile start that you can pair with each other and use as backdrop for more exciting pieces. By Basics I mean: pants, tshirts/tanktops (on their own or for layering), a skirt or two in a shape you know flatters you and you can just throw on (same for pants and everything else too. If everything is the same color, it makes the shape even more important!), a dress or two, and maybe a long jacket and a short jacket for wintertime. (I would consider "Foundation pieces" important too, like underwear, bras, socks, undershirts, and plain tights. Even if no one sees them, I feel like knowing any of them you grab will be something you feel comfortable in is a real psychological boast.) (I do all of my Basics in 3's, but that's just me. I just think that will last me about as long as I need it to in between washes.)
That leaves you with a good amount of outfits just from that, even if at the beginning it's all one neutral. (Confession, 95% of what I own is still black.) pants + shirt + long coat pants + shirt + short coat pants + shirt + w/o coat skirt + shirt + long coat skirt + shirt + short coat skirt + shirt +w/o coat shorts + shirt + long coat shorts + shirt + short coat shorts + shirt + w/o coat dress + long coat dress + short coat dress + w/o coat Since you don't have to worry about color matching or accessories at this stage, it seems very formulaic. That's what makes it easy to just grab and go at the very most "Basic", core level of your wardrobe.
From there you just add on accessories, shoes and handbags (which it's also good to start with in your neutral and then expand outwards), pieces of different colors or patterns, and fast fashion or seasonal pieces. Just be sure to keep or replace those core pieces and not collect so many fun pieces it gets overwhelming, and you should be fine.
This is great for giving people alternatives to dumping the clothes they already have! Sometimes all an outfit needs is a fresh styling or some simple tailoring... anyone can take in a shift dress!
This is a lifesaver for petite hourglass figures who constantly feel like a potato sack in most clothes, especially without the styling tips to help us. Thank you so much!
Same. For the 1st one i like the wrong. For 2nd i like the right. For 3rd i like wrong. 4th i like both depending on wheather. 5th i hate both. I just dont like the skirt design. 6th i hate both. The cloth make her looks like wearing school uniform. And i dont understand why need to tuck in for every skirt?
WONDERFUL, GREAT VIDEO!!!! I love when you can compare the two outfits and see what's best! And what difference those little details make! Again, AWESOME VIDEO!!!!!!
Wow! These are really good tips. I'm no good at dressing, and I love dressing "comfy" and "slouchy". However, I've been trying to figure out how to dress professionally and put-together for work without buying a whole other wardrobe. There are some good ideas where, and you've earned a sub from me!
I actually think she pulled off the before looks way better! They made her look younger and more stylish, and definitely were cuter and comfier. The 'fixed' looks look older and less comfy, but if you are going for more mature look i guess these are good tips.
Frumpy is frumpy. Being in fashion doesn't make it less frumpy. Some people get older and realise this, but some people don't, and this video is for those people who are starting to realise a loose jumper and dumpy outfit every day isn't the right look to wear for the next 20 years.
@@shannonmelidonis4371 If you get older, you will probably wear totally different cloth than shown in the vid xD You probably wont wear a crop top with 50... hopefully... please! xD She didnt do a good job to be honest. Love this! Sometimes I wonder why my outfits look odd, but changing the top/bottom, adding another layer or tucking in can really improve the overall look! I love being comfy but still want to look cute, so these tips are great! :)
Hi Lori! I like high heels because they make us stand taller and look leaner. Since this video is about the comfortable and casual style I decided to choose shoes which are more comfortable but still complement the looks. As Diana got only quite high high-heels, we swapped those to flat shoes to demonstrate the difference, but if you feel comfortable in heels - go for it! :)
This is super helpful!! Not to mention the model is the same body type as I am, I almost never see anyone with the same proportions I have, not quite a cookie cutter shape.. it was nice to see outfits that work on a slightly different body type!
You did great but sometimes i felt the original looks had more personality into them like the feather printed shirt, also i thought the skirt and the shirt in the second outfit looked modest and cute and you added a very tight fitting shirt instead idk but tight fitting things are never comfortable to me haha. Great video anyway !
menna khaled yup agreed! The last outfit was also nicer in the original version! Loose, baggy clothes can be cute just like the Japanese style, but i guess that's just not the stylist's aesthetic.
menna khaled the after look was cute but I totally agree with you tight does not equal comfy in my book. You have to worry about sucking it in having good posture or you’ll look bad. And the ending dress I thought was adorable and in the after she clipped the material in the back which you can’t actually do in real life or you look stupid. the after were cute but the before wasn’t bad either
I always learn great tips from your videos...Thank you! I have a question about those tan ankle boots that you always took off of her. How could she have worn them? I have skinny ankles too and find those boots hard to wear except with skinny jeans tucked in to fill the space... Do you have an ankle boot video or would you make one? All boots really. Sock boots, short ankle, under knee, over knee, cowboy...there are sooo many!
I felt like she really hated these boots.. lol. I'm also very curious how she would style them, because these are the types of boots that I like to wear.
I have a pair of 5" chunky brown ankle boots that I wear with bootcut jeans. Hosiery, knee high socks, or leggings/jeggings can be tucked in. I do not own any "skinny jeans", but I do have lots of skin tight elastic pants in a variety of other fabrics.
Love how professionally done your videos are! I'm into tucking my shirt in now - sold! - but my stomach really pokes out when I do. So I looked great from front, not great from side. Tips??
same, but my stomach is actually the reason i tuck in! i left a bit of it hanging out instead of tucking it all in and make it look rly fitted. it actually camouflaged my tummy. dunno if this look stylish at all though maybe you should try out for yourself haha
I recommend spanx/shapewear, control top hosiery, or "sucking in"/keeping good posture. I find that high-waisted pants can cinch the waist as well as appear more flattering than lower pants that allow the belly to flop over the waistband. I like control top hosiery, but mostly because of the massaging foot padding.
V Sparrow size 18 here, don't think Spanx can fix that. I def. Need new jeans but ugh, it's demoralizing. Over 60 but great posture, just not as chinched waist as I was. Had no idea menopause would give me a belly! Not a big deal for me, thankfully. Thanks!
The trick is to show off the slimmest part of your body which is usually the waist. And tucking in and adding something on top s a perfect way for all body shapes. When tucking in the items you must pay attention to material, as if it is stiff it won't work, also if you an apple shape and you don't have defined waistline - add a blazer, cardigan or vest on top to visually shorten the waist's natural line. If tucking in is not an option, avoid tight fitting high waisted pants and look for the tops which would hang from the chest and would distract attention from the problem area. Will make a video on this for spring/summer version with an apple (probably my mom again :) soon!
Hello, Your video is super interesting, it's very good ideas! The high waist skirt with the birds is sublime, where can we buy it? In advance thank you
Hi Giedre, could you please make a video how to stylishly avoid wearing black near the face? I'm one of those who it doesn't flatter, although it's so easy to just wear total black.
I did not find styles for girls with short hair, I tend to almost always have my neck uncovered (there is not much problem with that), I just want to find new ways to highlight or improve my new style. Thank you, I would like to see a video about this case.
I always tuck my shirts and even thicker sweaters in it makes such a difference and feels natural to me. Tho I usually prefer to just tuck in half of boyfriend shirts and blouses which looks a lot more relaxed. Anyway it depends on your body
I prefer the before for the 4th one. I mean, I'm probably biased cause that's basically my daily outfit but what's wrong with simple? And sometimes, wearing loose stuff, like the before for the last one, makes you look cute too.
Seraa Le so I wasn’t te only one that saw that!! I hate it when people in videos or stores do that because you’ll never actually get it to look like that unless you get it altered!!
It's sold like that because there are different body shapes even for the same size. It's easier to take away than add. Especially around the waist. That's why when buying pants or dresses it's best to measure for the largest part of your body. I personally have large hips/butt, but a small bust and waist so I find things that fit around the bottom but can be altered at the top. Even in plus size clothes, things are made for big butts and boobs. I only have one of those so it's hard to find anything that fits because my waist is significantly smaller than my butt and I'm not exactly a double d or f or g like many of the models or people it's made for.
Mary Lukrofka you don't need to really "alter" stuff. I just fold and sew. Especially with thicker/baggier materials where it's harder to see it underneath, like jeans. All you need to know is how to use a sewing machine.
this is why I say, there's no "right" or "worng" to dress, feel free to wear what you want (it's your body after all) BUT there's a way to dress that will *compliment* your body shape and will make you look diffrent
Hey,, male fashionista here! The first version of the first outfit was fine, but I'll agree that the "after" version looked slightly better. I just didn't like the second outfit at all. For the third outfit, both looked nice. Fourth outfit: the after version did look better, obviously less plain than the "before" version. Fifth outfit: I just didn't like the pattern. For the last outfit, I actually much preferred the "before" version, the ankle boots gave a much more elegant touch to the outfit than the loafers!
I love Wednesday Addams, and that thought immediately sprang to mind, too, haha. I'm a huge fan of all-black, but the original boots made it less schoolgirl and more original/ funky/ cool/ whatever. There's nothing wrong with a schoolgirl look when you're young enough to pull it off (like she is), but I don't think that's what she was going for. She succeeded anyway, especially with the ponytail.
Appreciate ideas in this :) how about. instead of pinning the pieces, next time could u suggest/show more practical options? For example another piece of clothing or different way of wearing the same piece that had to be pinned. Also, suggestions to make the same look more petite friendly, e.g. the grey print on print look, instead of changing it to a completely different ensemble (black plain top..) thanks for the videos!
The last 4 were fine for me! i liked them before and after.. i mean i didn't feel that the before outfit was having any problem. anyway i liked the video and the model is so fun and pretty. :D
Thank you for your work. I really appreciate it. I would like to know what should I wear if I have pear shape, I am short, and not skinny. Should I wear long dress or short one? Or instead of dress I wear just trousers? Please help me.
i must have really good style because every outfit you showed, i'd make suggestions before the change and it always happened to be on track with what you suggested lol
This was a great video! As a 5’1 petite with a large bust, I am constantly looking for tips and tricks on how to dress my figure. Many thanks for a great video with tricks and wonderful visual aids on what to look for when balancing an outfit.

True

And the ending dress I thought was adorable and in the after she clipped the material in the back which you can’t actually do in real life or you look stupid. the after were cute but the before wasn’t bad either
This is the most helpful fashion tips video I have ever seen. Great job!
I love this!! All of these outfits were adorable :)
I too have skinny ankles and would love to know how to wear them. I like your idea of a boot video!
This is the best video on the entire internet. So many useful tips!
I really like the last dress!!
Love all your How to videos. So many great tips to learn. Love ya!
OMG those were some pretty awesome transformations. Thank you! :)
Love how professionally done your videos are! I'm into tucking my shirt in now - sold! - but my stomach really pokes out when I do. So I looked great from front, not great from side. Tips??
same, but my stomach is actually the reason i tuck in! i left a bit of it hanging out instead of tucking it all in and make it look rly fitted. it actually camouflaged my tummy. dunno if this look stylish at all though maybe you should try out for yourself haha
marmar eido hi, I'll try it, thanks
I love your new haircut and your friend is a doll !!! Kisses from Greece

I would love to see tons of videos like this! Please make more in this style and format 👏
Great tips. I may do a video using your tips to show people how well your tips work.
I love this video!
I want to share with as many people as possible!
from JAPAN
IDK why but this is soooo freaking satisfying! !!
I did not find styles for girls with short hair, I tend to almost always have my neck uncovered (there is not much problem with that), I just want to find new ways to highlight or improve my new style. Thank you, I would like to see a video about this case.
you are a magician.....a witch...im going to watch all your videos now
Ohh I love how you transformed the long flowy skirt outfit! I will totally try that 🙌
I always tuck my shirts and even thicker sweaters in it makes such a difference and feels natural to me. Tho I usually prefer to just tuck in half of boyfriend shirts and blouses which looks a lot more relaxed. Anyway it depends on your body
This channel has the most constructive and useful fashion content. Genuinely wish I found this channel sooner.
I prefer the before for the 4th one. I mean, I'm probably biased cause that's basically my daily outfit but what's wrong with simple? And sometimes, wearing loose stuff, like the before for the last one, makes you look cute too.
The model is so adorable 💞 I love it~
Cute, but I can't just walk out with paper clips on the back of my clothes.
Very cute! Loved your response. I wish I'd taken more home economics classes so I could simply alter everything I buy.
Mary Lukrofka you don't need to really "alter" stuff. I just fold and sew. Especially with thicker/baggier materials where it's harder to see it underneath, like jeans. All you need to know is how to use a sewing machine.
ikr
As usual a great video 😍 could you do a "what shoes to pair with Jeans" video? Thank you so much 😘
this is why I say, there's no "right" or "worng" to dress, feel free to wear what you want (it's your body after all) BUT there's a way to dress that will *compliment* your body shape and will make you look diffrent
Just love the format of your videos.
Great work! Artful and balanced. In the second look, you see the girl first, not baggy clothes.
These are so nice and informative!! Thanks for sharing! ♥️
Nice. I was wondering if you have a videos for how to dress doing PE, exercise like in the gym?
Thank you for many wonderful tips
these are great simple tips on how to improve your look, thanks!
I love how you improved those looks!
jessy dee simple: she doesn't
Hipster Potato i think she did :) glad everyone can have a different opinion.
I like how modest the outfits are
Excellent visual tips. I need this for a very round apple shape.
Hey! have you seen this one? ua-cam.com/video/JCO6qzQFwdI/v-deo.html
TBH I liked most of her before outfits. They had an early 90s teenage vibe I remember fondly 😄 The afters provide a nice update though.
i actually liked most of the original outfits
Really thanks! This is the first video, that no makes me feel like i'm a fool because i'm not good dressing, and i can learn about it. ♥
The last one just looked like a school uniform afterwords.
Armyyyy
Actually she looked like Wednesday addams, I thought the different color boots gave her some color and end up ready for Halloween party 😑.
Carmen M.D. lmao then Wednesday Adams looks like she's wearing a school uniform.
Justin Seagull yes, she does but cause it's wednesday, she got style 😅😊
What I've learned: Never wear wide ankle boots
I just wear a pair of jeans , converse, and t-shirt xP I think I should start changing my style a bit
The last 4 were fine for me! i liked them before and after.. i mean i didn't feel that the before outfit was having any problem. anyway i liked the video and the model is so fun and pretty. :D
Hello, i really enjoyed the video and thought that the clothes werr really cute. Hreetings from Lithuania, labas!!!
Hello I m new to your channel. Just want to say that i love the way you make the video with less talking but so on point!! Great jobs 👍👍👍
Good job! I guess hairstyle is also equally important.
Liked all except for the last one~ preferred it baggy on her but the shoes change was spot on
this is so helpful. i like dressing in baggy silhouettes but people keep saying i look older. ur videos really helps
You are fabulous...
Thnx to shr ur this typ of all vdos...
Lvvv u lot
Thank you for your work. I really appreciate it. I would like to know what should I wear if I have pear shape, I am short, and not skinny. Should I wear long dress or short one? Or instead of dress I wear just trousers? Please help me.
I dress so much like the before 😛. Awesome tips thank you!
this is actually amazing, i have the same style as her too which is nice so i can easily compare XD
i must have really good style because every outfit you showed, i'd make suggestions before the change and it always happened to be on track with what you suggested lol
OOOH I LOVE THIS ! I'LL DEFINITELY USE THEM SOMETIME
the yellow skirt is *WHOA*
Great, doable tips. Thank you!
You made every outfit better 👍
The before looks better in most to me. She looked a bit like a school kid in the last outfit at the end
This was a great video! As a 5’1 petite with a large bust, I am constantly looking for tips and tricks on how to dress my figure. Many thanks for a great video with tricks and wonderful visual aids on what to look for when balancing an outfit.
Great video! Helps me alot.
From where are the flat loafers? :)
Woah where can I get that yellow midi skirt? So cute!
