I'm 4'11 and also pear-shaped, and some of your tips here I had tried applying already and it did wonders to how I look overall and also made me very confident in my body. So thank you so much for sharing these awesome tips!
Omg same, and honestly my current outfits does not make my body type look flattering at all. I would love to know where you buy your clothes as a short person since I never find any clothes that fit my body at all.
how did youtube know my body shape? this is the best recommendation ever! i am 5'2, pear-shaped, with a long torso, wide hips and thick legs. i subscribed immediately!
You are absolutely correct! She’s a modern teacher who’s with a lot of stars around her full of body language. What are the stars????? Fashion, story, laugh, kind, intelligent,
my "rules" are really : tuck in everything, everything highwaisted, cinch the waist always. I don't really like mini skirts/dresses but I find midi/maxi lenghts are quite flattering as well if it is a quality garment. Also I found out than vintage clothes are often better tailored, like I made pants from a 1930s pattern and the fit is very flattering for me as a short girl (I am 161cm) :D
Funny... Lately, I have been thinking, fashion back in 1950/60's were really designed for the petite prefered look, probably why such style of clothes fit our image so much smoother. I was on a pant hunt for 2 years, no joke... All pants legs are too long, or the waist too big. Even smallest sizes don't fit my proportions and I'm not weirdly shaped. I found people with the same body finding the same problems. But I found these perfect ankle length flared skinny denim, both white and blue and my god I have been in love with them. But I have a hard time finding midi skirts as a 156cm, any tips? Is tailoring it worth it?
@@cecelove5173 how old are you? Lol check out the Britney Spears video "im not a girl not yet a woman" that was the high point of low cut jeans for sure. So early 2000's

Best tips EVER! That little red cardigan with high waisted jeans looks so gorgeous on you. Literally makes you look slimmer and tall. I never thought light denim could look good. I have the exact same problem with my figure, but so over wearing black. I def need a cute cropped cardi.Thank you so much for this, I'm 50 and THOUGHT I knew quite a lot, but u taught me several great tricks/tips!❤ you're lucky you have a tiny waist.
I would love to see a video about how to add trendy/statement/seasonal pieces without spending a ton or drastically changing your style. I recently went thrifting with fall on my mind and I wanted things that were new and exciting, so not what I normally got, but I also wanted to find items that fit it with the rest of my already-existing wardrobe. Would love your tips! Especially with fall just around the corner!
Thank you, from this 5' 2" gal. I've used many of these tips at times. Yet, occasionally, break a rule when the goal is not single focused. For example: when in a group and I would like to not be noticed, I prefer darker colors or neutral shades. Yet, I might prefer lighter brighter colors at the beach unless I'm going for a more inwardly focused outing to just read or take a quiet walk and not looking to "be seen" by onlookers. I might wear prints when I am hoping to draw a bit of attention, at a dance, a outside concert or summer festival for example. It isn't necessarily about looking the thinnest one can possibly make one's self appear. I think it projects confidence within one's own body to allow a few curves to give a more female shape. When I was at about my thinnest size, I looked in the mirror and realized that I didn't have any hips, no curves, and an almost hidden chest if I was wearing a loose or oversized top. I think that I looked like I had an adolescent boys figure. Dresses didn't hang the way they used to and finding fitted clothes was more difficult then in the late 1990's and early 2000's than now.
I'm 41 and I've already been doing all of this by instinct. It really is all about having a basic sense of proportion knowing what suits you. Having said this, it was still great to watch this and realize that I have indeed been doing all the right things. I'm also 5.1 btw :) Awesome video!
I seriously cannot stress enough how much I LOVE these tips! I'm 156cm and also pear-shaped on the curvier side and these tips are gold! ❤ The only thing a would disagree with is tip nr. 12, since I find tighter skirts look more flattering to the pear-shaped body. Having flares add width to the hip and I always end up looking like a child with a princess dress/skirt which reaaaallly messes up the whole illusion. Otherwise, everything you say is so on point and it has helped me so much. Now I need to find nude shoe's that I like 😍

I worked at dress shop once and a tip that I have always kept with me from that time is to wear long dresses rather than short ones if you're short, for the same reason you point out in this video: to keep the visual line longer. I am quite short and this tip works wonders. Tall girls however suit shorter dresses better as it shows off their long beautiful legs.
The monochrome solid outfit genuinely works! Coincidentally, we have the same height and the same body measurements at 34-26-37 and I was wearing a black fitted shirt and a black sweatpants. I went out for a walk and two men approached me (not in a creepy way) and told me how old am I because I look really tall for how I looked. Try it besties it works!
Love your voice and thank you for taking the time to post these videos! So many of us are short-legged, waisted, etc. and need a little help in looking taller.
These are so amazing tricks! I am 5' feet, pear shaped and bow legs too. Wide straight pants is the only key. Your videos helped with that. Thank you! P. S. I would really appreciate if you make a video for people with unflattering legs. 🌸
When you said «high waisted everything ...» I laughed so hard because I too am short and I do that all the time with belts added to the outfits so much that some co-workers call me the high waisted girl
Great video, I'm a pear shape myself:-) would be useful to see a video about how to make wide hips look smaller too! Although you touch on it in this video by emphasising the top part of the body but would be great to have more tips:-)

This video was like Perfect. I mean Perfect. The style, the voice, even the sound of the jewelleries, and of course TIPS. its just perfect.
Your voice is so therapeutic 💜✨
I'm 5'2 and this tutorial is literally a life saver for me.... Thanks ✌
Always love your tips! I’m 4’11 so I am very petite!
I am 4"11as well
Count me in! 👋
Great tips! As a short guy, these are very helpful
That was very helpful. I am 5'8, but visually I look very similar to you, aka my inches are in my torso, not legs!
Loved this video! You're voice is somehow so calming :)
Thanks Missy!
5,1 here & pear shaped, this video is gold ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Man loved the video, the tips, production quality, everything is top-notch like give this girl more subs please!
Are u an army ?
Bravo, Bethany. You win the Internet with this one 🏆
what a beautiful house! wow
Love your voice and thank you for taking the time to post these videos! So many of us are short-legged, waisted, etc. and need a little help in looking taller.
We literally have The same EXACT body
You LITERALLY don’t lol
That dress at 5:51!! You look magical 💛 Love all these tips, time to spend all my money on nude shoes!
These are so amazing tricks! I am 5' feet, pear shaped and bow legs too. Wide straight pants is the only key. Your videos helped with that.
Thank you!
P. S. I would really appreciate if you make a video for people with unflattering legs. 🌸
i really need every single one of your outfits!!!!
When you said «high waisted everything ...» I laughed so hard because I too am short and I do that all the time with belts added to the outfits so much that some co-workers call me the high waisted girl
Hi, I'm 5'1 also and this is very helpful. Thank you so much! From Philippines. 🇵🇭
Great video, I'm a pear shape myself:-) would be useful to see a video about how to make wide hips look smaller too! Although you touch on it in this video by emphasising the top part of the body but would be great to have more tips:-)
Thanks for sharing helps me a lot💗
4' 11" Thanks!
