I would like to know more about independent contractors and how that factors in to employment of drivers for a company. There was an employer I had that took money out of my overall paycheck to pay for gas for the week, and I decided not to do such an offer because it would reflect poorly on my weekly paycheck from the business. That decision was probably the best one I made considering my commute was more than the amount they paid for gas for a paper route.
