I'm about to spend $400 bucks on a 30 or 40L cutaway so i really appreciate this through review. I didn't even know about that other bag.
    Thanks again

My pleasure, glad you found it helpful. Check out my other videos for other fastpacks. My favorite is the Aonijie c9111!

Interested in hearing what you went for, did you look at the ALPI 40?

Thank you for this informative video! I bought the jungle pack and kept the frame and it was so uncomfy. I removed it just like you did now and it is so much better. But now maybe I should just go for the cutaway 😉.

Hi again and thanks! This makes me glad I went with the aonijie from your other video. Do you also remove the aonijie frame? I'm going to try and use my folded inflatable pad as the frame to save the 80g. Im just worried it's a bit inconvenient if it rains and gets wet. 2nd, I like your use of the belt. Maybe I can replace the aonijie belt with something that has pockets. Lastly, I can recommend the aonijie polyester hoodie, its super light and has a little hole for the sports watch. Happy running!

      Hello again friend!
Most of the time i have it removed. The frame doesnt transfer weight in any way. As long as you pack your bag well, you shouldnt have to worry about things poking ur back.
I do sometimes keep a foldable ccf pad where the frame would go.
I dont really see the benefit of folding your inflatable pad and placing it in the frame pocket. An inflatable pad is too thin to add any structural support. It's also too thin to stop things on the inside from poking your back. I guess it adds a small amount of cushion, but you shouldnt need it if you pack your bag well. I may totally be wrong though, so let me know what you think.
It can get wet from rain but also just your back sweat.
It's a good idea though! I like that type of thinking. It doesnt hurt to try though. I'll give it a test to see how it feels.
I'd recommend the aonijie hip belt. I would not recommend adding any pockets to attach to the aonijie waist strap or finding some other straps that can replace and attach there. IMO, the waist strap is too high and bothers my stomach. I actually did add pockets to it by removing a pair of removable hip belt pockets from my REI FLash 55 and adding it to the aonijie waist strap. The weight was uncomfortable on my stomach and also whenever id take the pack off the strap would flop down. Since unlike a full size backpacking pack which has firm and stiff hip belts, the waist strap is just a strap so any wright on it will make it flop down.
Thanks for the recommendation! how much does it weight? a hole for a watch is very handy, especially if you plan to use the thumb holes. Maybe i'll get one down the road if i ever get a watch. For now, its a little too expensive for me hahaha. My current sun hoodie is $10 from ali. I'll keep your recommendation in mind though in case anyone else asks for a sun hoodie rec!
