      @OutdoorOtaku thanks to you I bought that cool AONIJIE 30L bag but do you think you can do maybe a loadout video or a full little adjustment video on the pack, because I can’t get it to comfortable level unless I add another back panel insert🥲but other than that I love the bag!

    7:01 i think those are thumb loops! It helps with blood circulation, some of us(me) get bloated hands while hiking. To use these you slide your thumbs in them so your arm will be suspended instead of hanging down at your side which causes blood to pool in your hands/fingers.

    • @replicators

      Yep, that’s what they look like. I think ULA used to have them as a standard option on their custom packs.

    • @OutdoorOtaku

      Wow, you are definitely right!
      So i guess they are not useless after all lol. It's actually great feature. If someone didn't want it, they can just easily snip it.
      Thank you for letting me know!

      @@OutdoorOtaku quite a few decathlon packs have them, I quite often snip them short and sew them into a small loop I can attach my drink bottle pouch to if the straps don't have one.

      @@MovementDrifter oo clever hack. i think i can picture it, however would you be able to post a pic? curious how it looks.

    Forgot to mention pricing. I bought this backpack during a sale for $63.88 (USD) on aliexpress. Currently the lowest price i see on Ali is $75. Please note that this is subject to change.

    When I noticed that the torso in this bag was too short for me and the waist belt was too long to wrap around my 28 inch waist, I seriously thought about going through a troublesome refund process... it's ok I only spent 50usd buying this, so I thought I'd try this.

  • @ericwilson4553
    @ericwilson4553 3 місяці тому +1

    The asta gear 28+ 10 might be a good one to try, I think it's pretty new. Definately want to see the mods including if you can make it more comfortable.

    • @OutdoorOtaku
      @OutdoorOtaku  Місяць тому

      Ooo new aliexpress pack! It looked promising until i saw the straps. they look WAY too close to one another with no contouring either. It's also pricey. i think ill be passing on it unfortunately. if you pick it up, i'd love to hear feedback.

  • @MovementDrifter
    @MovementDrifter Місяць тому +1

    Nice review mate, I was actually pretty into the pack (with mods) until you mentioned the strap gap.
    Your aonijie 30l review was great too, i bought both the 20 and 30l packs after watching it. Both are great packs and comfortable, although the 20 is a little small for the hip belt.
    I also bought the Anmeilu 30l which is pretty much the aonijie 30L with the hipbelt of the 20L. Its advertised as 2 inches longer than both aonijie packs at 50cm/20 inches, but its actually 40cm/ 16 inches. Only for very short people unfortunately. Nice pack otherwise

    • @OutdoorOtaku
      @OutdoorOtaku  Місяць тому

      yeah the strap gap is what really killed this pack for me. it's unfortunate since it has potential.
      WELCOME TO THE AONIJIE PACK PACK!
      😈i love converting people
      oh, i didnt know that pack existed. pretty cool. so it's body length is shorter than the aonijie c9111?

    • @MovementDrifter
      @MovementDrifter Місяць тому

      @@OutdoorOtaku yeah it's all round smaller in depth width and height on the body, and end to end on the foam back at the longest point it's 16 inches and the c9111 is 18. It fits me fine apart from the hip belt is a stomach belt unless I'm pretty much at max trap length. I'm about 6ft 2
      Although most fast packs including the c9111 seem to fit a bit better higher on your back like a running vest, so maybe I'm just not destined to own a fastpack with a comfortable hip belt haha (at least at budget prices)

    • @OutdoorOtaku
      @OutdoorOtaku  Місяць тому

      @@MovementDrifter that's very interesting. you'd think it's the same pack body. it looks so similar. I kinda wanna give it a try now that i know its not the exact same capacity.
      lol yeah most fastpacks have belly belts that ride around the waist rather than hips. i hate it cause my belly wants to be free especially after munchin on food.
      I dont use them now, but when i first started looking at packs that was a feature i really wanted. The only fastpacks i know of that does have actual hip belts are the ultraspire epic xt and i think some packs from montane. IIRC they also have actual stiff frames. so the hipbelt can help distribute the weight. in the end i opted against it as i found it limited my movement too much.

    • @MovementDrifter
      @MovementDrifter Місяць тому +1

      @@OutdoorOtaku yeah I think you're right about fastpacks with hip belts, I think I may just stick to ultralight packs when I need one.
      If I wasn't in Australia I'd send you the pack for review, but it will probably cost the same to send it back and forth than it costs shipped from China lol
      I'd also recommend having a look at the decathlon quechua mh500 22l rolltop. It's like a hybrid fastpack with a hip belt that tucks away behind the water bottle pockets, vertical zip to access the body, also has a little pocket on the bottom and comes with a rain cover, but I use the pocket like a palante, for snacks and stuff. Not very light at 745gm/1.64 lb without rain cover but it's a nice pack and well priced

    • @OutdoorOtaku
      @OutdoorOtaku  22 дні тому

      @@MovementDrifter haha thank you and no worries. It seems like there's a lot of interest so i may just pick one up. I need to offload some of my current packs first though...
      wow, so many new fastpack/hybrid packs with vest straps nowadays!
      Looks good. the shoulder strap pockets are a bit lacking for me. I need big stretchy ones for my bottles.
      Im getting kinda picky with packs. i've tried a lot now and i have a good feeling of what i like and what i dont. my next vid will probably be a breakdown of "what to look for in a fastpack". or something like that. decathlon looks good, but i dont know if it can really compete with the c9111 or palante joey

      no note yet lol. i have it and it's sitting in the closet patiently waiting.

    @OutdoorOtaku have you had any experience with the 3FUL Qidian Pro? I am struggling to choose between it and the Aonijie c9111, Thanks!

    • @OutdoorOtaku
      @OutdoorOtaku  Місяць тому

      no i do not. However from what i can see, they are two very different packs. One being a more traditional 40l frameless backpack and the other being a vest style 30l pack. I think it really depends on what you want to do with the pack and the gear you have.
      if you still dont know, just get the c9111. it's cheaper and if you cant use it backpacking, you can use it for so many other things. Day hiking, travel, biking, etc.
