trade back to like 8 for a haul of picks and select Campell or Banks. sign Tee in FA if hes available or trade for AJ Brown or DK Metcalft. i'm over us drafting wrs in the first two rounds. its always bust after bust after bust.
You're right, the Patriots have a premiere pick the 2025 draft and cannot afford to miss on it. Yes, the Patriots had a premiere pick in this past April's draft as well, but there wasn't much of a decision to be made. They were intent on a quarterback, and Drake Maye fell into their laps. I agree on trading down from 3 and adding draft capital. Then after trading down, the offensive line must take priority over WR. Patriots have a number of young WRs and don't know what they have in their young WRs. The Pats should absolutely draft an offensive tackle in the first round. The offensive line is the biggest need, and they 100% WILL NOT get a left tackle in free agency! No left tackles worth signing will get to free agency. They never do. That means they HAVE to draft their left tackle.
2:51 that’s exactly what I’ve been thinking. We have a premium pick in a OK draft we cannot mess up. We need to take best player available or at least not reach on anybody. Drafting a perennial pro bowl or all pretty much any position besides quarterback will help us get back into contention
I don't think it's a this over that, I think both need to be addressed in a huge way. Yes, our O-line is horrific, but we also don't have a true #1 receiver. So what you are seeing is a bunch of mid level receivers trying to get open in as little as time possible because our line is caving in around Maye. Would more time help the receivers? Absolutely. And that NEEDS to be addressed. But, we also need better weapons to give Maye out there. A true #1 would go a very long way to helping the others produce more. I would trade back with a team like the Raiders that are desperate for a QB, and use those extra early round picks to beef up both lines as we've also had a serious problem stopping the run and pressuring the QB this year. Back up the Brinks truck for Higgins, as much as I'm not a huge fan of his, he's the best available, we have the money, and he makes the rest of our receivers look pedestrian by comparison. Use day 3 of the draft to fill in cracks and takes shots on high potentials, and just by doing the above we would have a completely different team next year that we could actually build on from there. We HAVE to hit on the majority of our swings this draft though. If half our picks are just meh and the other half can't get out of the tub again like this year, we are doomed, and Mayo and Wolf and company will need to update their resumes. The rest of us will be cutting eye holes in paper bags in order to not be recognized at a game or rooting for the Pats in any way.
Personally id go left tackle, but nobody really is worth that high so wideout, but im falling for carter and think if we get higgens, get carter and trade back into the first for conerly or simmons
One player from this draft that I would like to learn more about is Josh Simmons. I’ve heard another draft reporter claim him as the best offensive lineman in this draft. The unfortunate thing is he sustained a season ending injury this year. Love how you emphasized the oline helping improve the run game which is desperately needed. There’s been plenty of weeks where the run blocking has been worse than the pass blocking. To add to that if you improve your run game you also improve your time of possession. Improve your time of possession and you also help out your defense that has also started to struggle this year. You’ll also help extend the careers of your running backs! 🤘
*Patriots first and foremost need to address the tackle AND the wide receiver positions via Free Agency. Bring in a player who can play LT (Stanley), as well as one to play RT(Moses). While also going after 2 of the top wideouts on the market. I know the FA Pool isn’t the greatest and the Pats will have to overpay. But they need talent and they need it NOW. This is NOT a good draft class for either position…ESPECIALLY compared to last years. Next year is already looking to have better talent towards the top of the draft in regards to Tackles. Any players that we bring in would instantly step in and be starters on Day 1…that’s how horrible the talent level is on this team. Sign the FA Tackles to shorter deals 1-2 year deals; and sign Tee Higgins to a 4 year deal (pending a potential Bengals FT) along with a #2 option spanning anywhere from Godwin to Hollywood Brown. You can still add depth and talent to these positions in the draft as they should, but at least they aren’t forced to select these positions with their top pick. This gives them more flexibility to either take the top talent on the board…or trade back and maneuver in the 1st-3rd Rounds. If they could grab a player like Hunter, Graham, Johnson, McMillan or Carter at the top…or trade back and take a player like Campbell, Banks, Warren, Burden or Booker. Use the 2ndRd along with the extra 3rdRd, etc. to jump back into the 1st round and add an additional player. Adding 2 starters on the 1st day of the draft is an ABSOLUTE MUST for this team to have a successful offseason moving forward.*
The main thing is to remember that anyone that has played American football knows that the O-line the motor of the car and depending on how it is it will run smoothly, or it will be bad. So OT has been bad for us
Nope they didn't. Andrews will return next year and Strange will be getting reps at center and I think he will make a fine one given enough time. As for FS, I don't think the early rounds of this years draft is the time to play with that as we have too many other pressing needs. Could be good to get a mid to late one though for grooming. Might be best to try and bring in a free agent that isn't more geared for box work like the rest of our safeties as there will be several available and we have deep pockets this year.
did anyone sit there during the last 2 drafts, especially last year and wondered wtf they were doing NOT DRAFTING ONE TACKLE? They drafted everything else including about 5 GUARDS. I swear, I will check out if I watch 4 rounds this year without a OT.
I agree with you a 100 percent. A team is most likely to end up with a bust because they draft off of need and not the best player available, I mean look at Detroit. They draft the best players that were available.
If there is a miracle that we can get two 1st round draft picks since 2018, we should get both. But if I’m being realistic I would prioritize a left tackle. Otherwise Drake Maye would have been murdered moving forward
If we get Tee Higgins and or a diggs Goodwin or Debo (at least one but preferably two ) then OK but if we can’t get nobody I would rather go receiver. God This team has fallen so far
This draft isn't as good as we thought in the top 32 players.....for me the value preposition in this draft is in the 2nd -4th round specifically in the DE/DT position....we could easily get two near elite Edge rushers and a solid DT in just one draft
If Hunter or Carter are on the board we better not take anything but them. Btw this draft is really really nice in the second and third round. Eagles problem gonna steal a hall of famer somewhere. What I do agree with his drafting talent over need. Hunter and Carter are special and both positions of need that you wint get in fe. There aren't any safe tackles in this draft.
I'm down for any scenario equally: 1: Travis Hunter he can play whatever position 2: Banks/Campbell and try to luck into Egbuka (Egbuka just has the name like Njigba lol) 3: Tet MacMillan 4: Trade down 11:02 exactly Dre is mid to low of the pack in stats for RBs
Great Video. I for one was more of the Draft Travis Hunter side, but you're correct. We simply cannot continue with Lowe as our LT (and I'm sure we won't), Get Tee Higgins in FA. Higgins, Pop and Bourne should workout fine in 3WR Sets and we still have Boutte, Polk and Baker. The LT FA Class ain't that great, maybe trade down and get a Rookie LT is the move. Greetings from Germany, Pats Nation
#TeamPG, haven't watched it yet but I'm standing put on the the same thing as the past 3-4 years. Offensive line is the most needed still. It's been a need for 4 years at least. Gonna finish watching
I’d be fine with trading back and taking the 6th plus from LV for the second overall. Hopefully Sanders gets really hyped through the lead up to the draft and we can get a haul. So many holes on this roster.
The draft will be dictated by FA we may not need to draft a WR or Oline if we stack up in FA with the cap we have and then it would be best player available or trading down for picks.
Colby what think about Chis Godwin he a veteran WR can teach them young bucks in that lockerroom and i know a little injury prone. If they can't get Tee Higgins
Portland trailblazers said the same thing and passed on michael jordan. They needed a center and the rest is history..you will never get the opportunity to get two players with one draft pick. This kid is top receiver, the top corner back in draft, ive never seen this in 50 years and we going to pass on him for a guard.
We don't need no Hunter because he is CB/WR does means anything Drake Maye need protection first you can have the greatest WR of all time but he Drake Maye can even drop back for a second how you use a CB/WR. Cause if you destroy Drake Maye going to the draft try to find a another QB. Then people going talking about firing this guy and that guy. But if not going to get he Oline first then get him TMac cause we can't rely on a guy who plays CB and WR ask Deebo what happens to him when he played WR/RB and if you going to rely on hunter and if he get hurt you going to be looking for a WR and CB again.
It has to be Tackle. The O-Line has been ranked dead last on PFF since before the season even started. Drafting Travis Hunter isn't going to be a remedy for this offense, especially with some reports from executives saying that his best fit will be at Cornerback when he goes to the NFL, and just be a minor gadget player on offense. If we don't want Maye to end up as another Andrew Luck story, Line Line LINE
Trade back from z2 to 3 for a second then trade from 3 to 5 . Take advantage of only two quality QB in draft. Pick Carter and use the extra draft capital from two trades and move up to grab T Mac or campbell. Rather have TMac !
They need both on the offensive line the patriots have been extremely sorry for 7 years. If there's a elite lineman with power and quickness that can pancake a great defensive linemen. Gotta draft him.
Honestly I have zero to add. You're on point with this, and looking spiffy while doing it😅. I'm not exactly amazed with the top-end of this draft either. I'm all for trading down, I just don't know who would want to trade with them. There are some definite NFL starters but nobody who looks to be dominant. I absolutely agree with the "draft the top players available" technique this year. NE certainly needs to fill some of these holes in FA as well. We will see if Wolf has what it takes to be able to fix this lacking roster... I just hope they see the how important it is to address this embarrassing OL.
Wolf, Groh, and scouts have their jobs on the line in this draft. Mentioning Baker and Polk is pointless. They won’t be a factor in any decisions made in 2025 draft. However, I agree to trade back and take O-line. Historically, the odds of an O-line being elite after round 1 drastically goes down compared to say, wide receiver drafted in 2nd and 3rd round. (AJ Brown, DK, Deebo) many examples.
They need both so take the Best Player Available than means not reaching with the number 2 pick for Tackle talent that is not first rd quality. Unfortunately for the Patriots this years draft is perceived to be a poor one for OT and WR. So either trade down out of the top ten and try to get some more draft capital
I say draft Travis you can use him mainly for defense have the other side locked down with gonzo dugger and mapu good luck throwing the ball then you can ease him into playing wr and if he keeps getting better give him more reps
if you wanna get the best player available then get travis hunter lol 😂. but i would go oline man we fricking need it bad we need am absolute overhaul on this oline
They should address OL in free agency and day two of the draft. In the first round snag the best player available. Top level talent is what New England needs. No offensive line players seem worthy of a top five selection Blue chippers like Graham, Carter, Hunter and Will Johnson look like the cream of this crop. Johnson or Hunter paired with Gonzalez could potentially give the Patriots a top five secondary. Graham should get a long look at DT considering Barrimore's health struggles. Carter merits consideration what with the team's sagging pass rush. The only way the pats should trade back is if somebody gives them a crazy amount of draft capital. Otherwise stay put and grab one the top propects. New England hit the jackpot in the first round the last two drafts. That's because they went best player available and did not reach. Stick with the strategy that works.
@ been a minute since i commented I been here tho my boy just tough season all im loving is drake maye n gonzo… n look back when i commented on the draft I said Drake would be the best qb
The Patriots haven’t proven that they can select players with their draft picks, so take the pick at 2. Other than Drake Maye who in the rookie class is playing well? Don’t trade down! Take Hunter seems like a can’t miss talent.
Bro just draft travis hunter. Everyone is overthinking it...the whole trading back for an OL that you STILL have to develop and future picks is cool but you can't pass up on Trav. He's got the potential to be an elite corner or receiver like can we please not fuck this up? trade for or find a tackle in FA and move tf on its not that hard. PLEASE don't mess this up.
Take Tet the best wr this year, Higgins just got hurt again cant really rely on him or trade the 1st rnd pick for one of the leagues best wrs like a Dk, or Aj Brown and their 1st round pick for us and sign long term.
I support trading down but I think that the only sure thing in this draft is Hunter. Do your research on him and then if you are really sure on passing on him then do it but if not then get him
It all depends really. If we do get tee Higgins, and say we got Tee Higgins, then Trey smith and a LT/RT veterans. Then I’d grab an OT to build and develop. I like Will Campbell, but if he moves to OG I think he will be the next Landon Dickerson. But let’s just say we got Chris Godwin and some offensive line depth. I’d draft a WR in the first round regardless just in case Godwin gets injured and that rookie WR can learn off of him.at the end of the day we desperately need talent on the offensive line and WR group. It’s also going to be a no for me on Travis Hunter, he’s going to be CB in the nfl. I also don’t want another WR who is 6’0. I really like T-Mac who is 6’5 and would match really well with Drake Maye that can launch the ball downfield. He’s either going to be the next Mike Evans or Allan Lazard. I also really like Nic Anderson who’s probably going to be drafted in the 3rd-5th round. He’s a sleeper WR and is the same size as Tee Higgins and similar play style.
Also let’s just say if we did get Tee Higgins, Trey Smith, and brought in OT veterans. We trade down acquire some draft capital we should grab Abdul Carter Edge/LB, more depth on the offensive line, CB, etc.
Bro regardless if they got Tee Higgins or not u telling me Him & TET ?! wtf u talking about we’d be a different team immediately. U lost me. we can do both get a FA receiver an draft one in the first round and TET is gonna be special.
The talent on this team is so bad that they should draft BPA with every single pick! Not sure what linemen will be available but at least need a few legit starters!
J. Simmons from Ohio State! Bigger and better than Cambel, and more talented than Banks from Texas... His knee should be golden. Then again put cambel at right gaurd and bounce Ewenu back out to right tackle. And go buy a left tackle.... As much as we want T. Hunter in our secondary and part time wr. It doesnt make sense to take a CB one overall i. This draft. Especially when the oline is so bad
The Patriots are very likely to lose the last two games which will put them at #2 in the draft unless the Giants sneak in a win. There's no player in this draft that's so wildly talented the Patriots need to snap them up at #2. Trade back a few spots if there's a QB desperate team who wants Cam Ward, or Shadeur Sanders at #2 and draft the best tackle available. I would say pick a WR, but the Patriots have proven time and time and time again that they can't evaluate and develop talent at that position. They're better off drafting the best tackle available and paying for a WR in free agency. My assumption based on past experience is that they will fail in this, but a guy can dream.
Abdul Carter looked like a beast today! Pats should seriously consider taking him
BPA could be a Defensive player like Edge Abdul Carter.
trade back to like 8 for a haul of picks and select Campell or Banks. sign Tee in FA if hes available or trade for AJ Brown or DK Metcalft. i'm over us drafting wrs in the first two rounds. its always bust after bust after bust.
As high as I am on McMillan and Luther burden. You never know with this team😂.
I agree all these waisted picks on receivers that just can't ball
eagles aint trading AJ lol
I think it's the organisation. The scouts can't evaluate a prospect and coaching staff doesn’t know how to develop a rookie properly.
They probably need better wide receiver coaches
The Patriots need a new offensive line. That can block and protect Drake Maye. Then during free agency sign a proven wide receiver.
Fa is before the draft and we should definitely adress tackle in fa.
Won't do them any good with these coaches
Yes definitely get free agent lineman. The offensive lineman this year aren’t worth at top 10 pick
The offensive line is the biggest need, and they 100% WILL NOT get a left tackle in free agency! No left tackles worth signing will get to free agency. They never do. That means they HAVE to draft their left tackle.
Drake throwing to Travis and Travis being a ball hawk next to gonzos lockdown seems too good to pass up
I think they should draft travis two for one deal
2:51 that’s exactly what I’ve been thinking. We have a premium pick in a OK draft we cannot mess up. We need to take best player available or at least not reach on anybody. Drafting a perennial pro bowl or all pretty much any position besides quarterback will help us get back into contention
BPA, reaching is how we got to this position.
Trey smith and tee Higgins have to be the top options!
I don't think it's a this over that, I think both need to be addressed in a huge way. Yes, our O-line is horrific, but we also don't have a true #1 receiver. If half our picks are just meh and the other half can't get out of the tub again like this year, we are doomed, and Mayo and Wolf and company will need to update their resumes. The rest of us will be cutting eye holes in paper bags in order to not be recognized at a game or rooting for the Pats in any way.
I might consider a trade back for Abdul carter but tbh psu been DL central ik it’s not 1 need but we haven’t had a pass rush in 3 years
With out a LT you can forget wide receivers very simple
Off topic but you look strikingly similar to Mike McDaniel here 😂
Agree 😂
Personally id go left tackle, but nobody really is worth that high so wideout, but im falling for carter and think if we get higgens, get carter and trade back into the first for conerly or simmons
Take Campell to play LT. Sign Tee Higgins.
I’m all for it 🫡

I agree with you 😊 100% ... Best productive top 10 player
Get an OT & OG in draft. And spend some cap on an OT & OG from free agency and/or trade. Everything else is adequate to build off a strong O-Line.
This year take the best available on your draft board
Colby I am your biggest fan I your channel keep up the good work been supporting your channel since day 1
We need LT, RT, LG, and Center.
Need to be All starters too
Abdul caeter or mason Graham unless we trade down

Waiting for the 2026 draft is crazy lol. I want a OL but Travis literally was the best in two positions. Then OL is still solid
Probably best player available

No chance you get 2 1st's, I don't know where ppl get that nonsense from we don't have a player to help get another 1st except Gonzo and Maye
Damn bro, I was gonna say, I didn't recognize you at first!
I’ve been told I clean up nice 😮💨
Leaning towards moving down for two first round picks And draft the best players available except QB.
This draft isn't as good as we thought in the top 32 players.....for me the value preposition in this draft is in the 2nd -4th round specifically in the DE/DT position....we could easily get two near elite Edge rushers and a solid DT in just one draft

u kinda look jeffery dahmer idk might be glases and the beardb but love the content god bless u
What if it’s Ashton Jeanty? He checks the elite game changer box so are you cool with him being taken with the #2 pick?
The draft will be dictated by FA we may not need to draft a WR or Oline if we stack up in FA with the cap we have and then it would be best player available or trading down for picks.
Travis Hunter
Get rid of his girl and maybe he’s not a circus after all
Tackle, no line, no time to get anyone the ball.

I’m glad u addressed the hair due hahah looks spiffy I was just confused Ik u killed that sportcasting class shit anyways u already doing it
My guy ❤️💙
@ been a minute since i commented I been here tho my boy just tough season all im loving is drake maye n gonzo… n look back when i commented on the draft I said Drake would be the best qb
Also the year gonzo was drafted I said trade up to 8 for him
Ur 100% right there’s not shit this year perfect trade back year
OT. No doubt. Can’t get to the ball to your new start WR if Maye doesn’t have time to throw.
The Patriots haven’t proven that they can select players with their draft picks, so take the pick at 2. Other than Drake Maye who in the rookie class is playing well? Don’t trade down! Take Hunter seems like a can’t miss talent.
Sign Tee Higgins, Trey Smith, Cam Robinson & Jevon Holland in Free Agency
Trade Down in the Draft and take the best player available
I'm sure not all if any of them will hit free agency
If travis and gonzo hook up, we would have two of the top corners in the nfl, bar none
Travis is not even too cb in the draft.. hes not worth the pick
Do your research on him and then if you are really sure on passing on him then do it but if not then get him
That's why I want them to take Travis Hunter. He's the most likely player to make an impact in the NFL..
Yeah and he helps run the ball how? Helps protect the QB to even get him the ball how?
He's going to help create maybe the best cornerback duo in the league and help create explosive plays on offense.. ☕
O-line should be the main priority. If so trade back take Kelvin Banks and trade for DK Metcalf. Maye to Metcalf would be lethal🔥
O-LINE IS TOP PRIORITY what's a WR gonna do for us???
We trade down acquire some draft capital we should grab Abdul Carter Edge/LB, more depth on the offensive line, CB, etc.
get abdul carter its the best palyer at 1 position
Pats need to fix the oline in the off-season and fix the defensive line an trade for chris olave
Can’t trade for Olave! I love his talent but he’s a concussion away from retiring
Trade down: draft OT, Edge, spend cap money on proven WR talent.
D line
Draft Will Campbell or KBJ, then Draft Tre Harris.
OT
If we sign ot then wr in draft
Mason Graham
LT
Pastor PG
1-6 too high for any of the available OL in this draft !
Trade down to 7,8 take banks
Trade back.
Draft Travis Hunter and Sign Tee Higgens. Address the rest in the draft and free agency simple
1st lol
It's either Banks from UT, or it's wrong.
