This game absolutely MADE my 10th birthday party in the year 2000. All of my friends loved it. As I opened my gifts one of my friends just happened to get me the N64 expansion pack so then four of us could play! I wish I could relive that day.
I am so glad I stumbled on a clip of this game and looked up long gameplay. I used to have to go to Hollywood Video and rent this after mowing the lawn because we couldn’t afford new games. What an epic trip down memory lane! Thank you for posting!
I remember renting this game then returned it because I thought it was boring. I returned it, got Superman 64 instead and had to stick with it all weekend😂 25 yrs later and now dungeon crawlers are my favorite type of game. I learned a hard lesson that day.

@@MagnificentFlorida not sure I understand the question, but this game is older than Dark Legacy, I believe. Cutscene at start felt different. Same lore, though, and that's pretty cool.
The reason why the Elf didn't appeared and was replaced by an archer, it is because something about sexually ambiguous something according to the Gauntlet developers.
I didn't realize when people said gauntlet dl added five levels that they meant full on realms, I always just thought they were slightly different but I was way wrong about that
I have 2 versions of the game on emulators. The versions were Nintendo 64 And Dreamcast, I didn't think it's was fun, but this brings back memories. But I played this game back in March 29 2024.
When i got this game and Legacy i thought i got the same game by mistake but when i played both it was different with added stages and new characters i kept both sorry Bobby for that day i know i promised to give it to you but i played both and broke that promise he saw why because he got both games too and we laughed and said game is good instead of food is good
What are you going on about? Legacy would be GameCube Xbox ps2, legend is ps1 n64 and Dreamcast. How could you mistake them for the same at all if they are for different consoles.
I remember the good ol days when my friends and I used to play this all day. We'd buy some junk food, soda and have a good time play gl on the 64. Lots of fun games on the 64
Guillaume, je ne connais aucune façon de faire fonctionner ce jeu sur Android. Windows, si, mais avec Android, quoi que je fasse les graphismes sont perturbés de quelque façon. Soit ça clignote, soit les fenêtres bigarrées en bas de l 'écran sont absentes, soit il y a d'autres déformations graphiques. Aucun émulateur ne marche comme il faut.
I’m pretty sure you have to load a previous save if you die. I remember playing this with my brothers n64 and the arcade. I’ve been playing it recently on my modded psp ps1 version. It’s funny how different it is than the n64.
This game is still cool in 2024 two protips for those who want to play: it's the easiest to farm food and gold on the very first map, there is no other way to do so but rerunning some level anyway. Second if you get stuck somewhere the solution is somewhere around there, you probably did not push a hidden button in some wall or underneath some rock, never try to walk back to the beginning of the map, it won't help. Regardless that the maps are labyrinths you always proceeding straight forward on them.

I intend to play this again soon. This game taught me 2 things, farming for gold in level 1 is how you should live your life, and food is good
Farming for health too, I run through the first level a few times before boss fights
grind as yellow wizard outside one of the level 1 or 2 enemy generators until you reach level 11

Thats because you played the game in a crt tv, those had smaller resolution than today standards
I think this is the nintendo version the DreamCast version still looks good with emulator.
Aspec radio is also originaly 4:3 stretching it and upscaling from 480p to 1080p. These games were meant to work on a crt with scan lines in mind.

I’m pretty sure you have to load a previous save if you die. I remember playing this with my brothers n64 and the arcade. I’ve been playing it recently on my modded psp ps1 version. It’s funny how different it is than the n64.
