Chrispy Things I just started looking into various slim profile wallets after using the SPEC OPS wallet jr for the past 11 years. These Trayvax wallets , especially the Ascent, look like a great way for me to slim my edc pocket junk down.
An awesome wallet, I own 2 of them. Coolest hack for this wallet if you carry more cash is the slide a money clip through the money slot and it allows for a ton of cash to be carried on the outside of this wallet. Great review
Pro tip: If you want to get more cards in there, soak the wallet in a bowl of warm water for about 30 minutes or so. Not to hot where it will burn you, but just under what’s considered “too hot”. After that, take it out, out your cards in and wrap In a towel until almost fully dry. You can put a book or something heavy on top, but not necessary. This will help soften the leather and allow more cards.
Been using the Ascent for a few weeks now, I originally jammed 4 cards in the back pouch and 3 cards in the front to help stretch out the leather which is really high quality by the way. After 24hrs the leather stretched a bit and now it comfortably carries 5 cards, 3 in the back, 2 IDs in the front which normally I only carry 3 or 4 cards and 2 IDs anyways with some emergency cash so this wallet works quite well for my needs and is built to last a lifetime. The wallet is slightly bulkier when loaded up with cards than the Dango D01 Dapper Bifold and Secrid Slimwallet which are the 2 other minimalist wallets I own but I wouldn't let that be a deal breaker because I do emphasize slightly.

I am looking at other trayvax products to get. My EDC is a 12 card from decadent minimalist DM1 which I have had for over 3 years. Simple but effective.
I’ve been doing a considerable amount of reading on the Ascent and Element. I’ve been learning the good and the bad about both. Due to the extra space, I definitely think the Element would be the one I’d choose. Nonetheless , great review of the Ascent.

An old vid I know but I’ve been using this very same wallet for over a year - it’s one of the best that TrayVax do, in my opinion. The only negative thing I would say is that the Steel Grey colour (which is actually the one I have) does turn into a very dark brown colour after a year’s worth of use but I guess, this is the characteristic of leather! One of my fave wallets ever. 👍🏼
Good wallet, bare in mind, too many cards the button or revet would scratch the card & for other countries currency note especially plastics note will crumble drastically!
I'm contemplating an ascent in grey & silver, I currently carry a Ridge Wallet with 10 cards & a small card tool under the external money clip, I put in a custom stud that securely holds the card tool in place. "Awesome"
I have the steel grey ascent with black metal. Looks sick. Favorite of Seven Trayvax wallets. The grey completely becomes brown after a month or two which is disappointing as I liked the grey color
I'm getting it. I didn't know if I would like the gray. But it will go nicely with my EDC CRK Umnumzaan knife with beautiful titanium scales... Originally I bought the Contour, but I thought it too small and harder to get my cards in & out. I also don't ever need a bottle opener. Everything out there is pretty much twist-off these days. Someone had also mentioned that if the bottle fizzles some of the contents can spill onto the cards and make a mess of things. Thanks for the videos. They definitely help making informed choices. Great design for some ppl but I keep a minimum of 8 cards a wouldn't wanna fight 3 cards in 1 slot trying to pull it out.the Element or the contour would totally fit me

Chrispy Things I did! I really like it. Very nice quality feel and build. I got the gray with the black metal. The gray was a bit more warm/brownish than I thought but it’s still really good. Was surprised how snug it was with only a couple ID cards in the front and three cards in the back tab part. I occasionally have trouble pulling the tab or shoving it back in. I have three folded bills in the little money slot. Does it stretch out more over time? I don’t use my cards every day because many places accept Apple Pay now. Anyway, thanks for the discount code man.

Trayvax was always on my list but never picked one up they look awesome.

A Train To Africa Trayvax wallets are made extremely tough. I’d say you’d have this years before that would happen.

Out of all the wallets that you've reviewed which one holds the most cards comfortably? I carry about 8 cards that I use on a regular basis.
Bobby Gott I would say the Trayvax Contour holds 8 cards effortlessly. The Element too.
