I switched to the carbon fiber Amazon version 3 years ago with the money clip, I love it I wish the edges were had Rounded edges but still prefer it. The elastic straps are still working like new and I have a replacement set that came with the wallet. I just can’t see why I’d spend 3 times more for a ridge wallet
I've had my rossm for a year and there is some plastic wrap that is coming off of it, the wallet works fine but aesthetically it's pretty ruined and now ugly tbh
Honestly I loved this review!! So detailed and soo honest unlike others who just totally painted cheap ridge copies as worthless and i was really gonna stupidly spend 100 dollars on a product I wasn't sure about but thanks to this review i decided to buy the cheap one for like 10 dollars and I like it, it was worth the price so far and it was exactly how this review said it, thank you soo much for the amazing review !!!
@@Jeffreviews4u Rossm now comes in carbon or Aluminum for $29. The aluminum includes the tool kit which is $10 additional if yiu buy the carbon. They come in several colors. I can't tell any difference from the $90 Ridge.
I never searched UA-cam for Rossm, funny this video appeared. I bought a Rossm wallet on Amazon around January and love it. I've always wanted the Ridge wallet but not for $90+. Rossm, you get a cash strap, money clip, extra screws and extra elastics all for the $25 I paid. Ridge charges you extra for a cash strap AND money clip. However... I imagine because of increasing manufacturing costs, they've increased in price. Still cheaper than Ridge but they are closer to $50 now... At least on their website at the time of typing this because they are no longer sold on Amazon. Rossm replied to a comment of mine on their Facebook page saying they are working on restocking their Amazon store.
I’ve had the Ridge for 5 years now, I have both the clip(cash) and strap(receipts). You can find the cards easy enough if you push the cards out with your finger in the cut out then pinch. That will help fan out the cards so you can pick the right one. Great comparison of the two brands
I have a $13 version bought on Amazon with a money clip. It's a little beat up, has some nicks and scratches, but it blocks RFID. Bought it May 2019 and it still works just fine. I prefer a front pocket wallet, and I've shifted some of my wallet items to my phone. It works for me, but I see how some people prefer a more traditional wallet setup
Solid review. I’ve had the Ridge wallet for a few years and I love it. It does take some planning to get the right cards. I use the strap and fold the bills into thirds so they are no wider than the wallet
The biggest thing that pushed me toward Ridge was that their clips and straps are supposedly tighter than the Amazon wallets from what I've seen in other videos, which makes me feel better when carrying cash. As far as finding a specific card you want, the trick is to push the cards up so they poke out a bit, then squeeze the bottom so they sort of fan out and it's easy to grab one. Otherwise I keep my most used cards toward the very front or very back of the stack.
I've had that exact Ridge aluminum wallet for almost 2 years now. No issues. Yes, it is scratched and showing wear. It is often sharing a pocket with keys, or a Microstream light, or a money clip, or a pocket knife. So it has "character" now. ;-) I keep just 5 cards in it. The two in the back I hardly ever need (drivers lic and concealed carry permit). The two in the front are my credit card and ATM/debit card. In between is an emergency credit card. (never/rarely used) Under the strap I keep two crisp 20s folded as emergency cash. Virtually every time I want a card it is one of the first two which makes it easy. That's the real beauty of wallets like the Ridge. They make you cut down on the "stuff" in your wallet. All my other cards (insurance, healthcare, registration, etc.) I keep images of on my phone. I occasionally carry a money clip with a few bills in it if I'm going somewhere where I'll want to use cash.
I got a Ridge wallet for Christmas in 2019 and love it, been my daily carry ever since. Really minimized how much junk I carry around. I’m now keenly aware of all the George Costanzas walking around with their huge wallets Edit: it’s the “burnt titanium” one and has held up really well minus scrapes and scuffs. The elastic that holds the two plates together is still super strong! While they’re definitely overpriced, the quality is top notch and they almost always have active coupon codes
Glad I came across this honest comparison. My 13 year old almost got me to spend the $85 on the ridge thinking there wasn't anything out there that was comparable. I gave him the rossm version instead and he was just as happy. Thank you for this!
It's still in tip top shape but that might be bc my son only has 3 cards in his wallet. Plus he's not carrying around a ton of cash either lol so not much wear and tear from his end. Still happy with it nonetheless
I have a carbon fiber version from Amazon that cost $22. I have been using it daily for 4 years. It has a few almost impossible to see scratches and still works perfectly.
I picked up the Amazon version about a month ago for the same reason you mentioned - tired of the bulk in my back pocket. But to be honest, I don't think it's going to work as a daily wallet. I just have too much stuff I need to carry - drivers license, company cc, 3 personal cc's, gun carry permit, proof of insurance for car, and proof of ins for Harley. I will probably keep it for those times when you just need a cc, dl, and ins. But for every day use, I will keep searching for something different. Thanks for the thorough review!
RIDGE wallets come with a No Hassle band replacement for when it gets old and ratty. Just contact them and they send you out another that you can use that neat little screwdriver to install. I have 2 now and one is several years old and it has aged really well. I've done two band replacements on it and it is still going strong
I bought a rossm just to try these out. Didn’t want to spend a lot of money for something I may not like. It’s small, does its job but for me nothing beats a good leather wallet. Much more classy and stylish. But I will probably still use the Rossm for those time I only need a few cards and want minimalist. Great review.
I received the Ridge forged ember wallet as a present (10 year anniversary discount). Absolutely love this minimalist wallet, and I'm never going back to leather bifolds... I bought the Rossm gunmetal (beautiful color) as a walking wallet (1 credit card, OMNY card, that's it), and out of curiosity. Yea, the Rossm is definitively a 99.89% replica of the Ridge wallet. The only decipherable difference was the Ridge has an ever so slightly less sharper edges. I love my Ridge, but I would wholeheartedly recommend the Rossm as better, more economical alternative. The 10 year Ridge anniversary sale is over, so it's back to its regular price, which does not feel reasonable, only unless you want the brand name on your wallet. They are both functionally 100% the same. (I have both of them with the cash strap).
I bought two Ridge wallets. Loved them u til about two weeks in the elastic cash strap unthreaded and fell apart. I filled out a warranty claim. Sent pics. Was asked for more pics. Then was sent the wrong item even after I described the defective money strap on the form and then again when I was notified my claim was approved. They must not have looked at the Photos because it was clear just from the photos that the money strap was what was needed and not a strap for if you used a money clip. I’d now say go with the Rossm. That’s what I’m going to do.
I've been EDCing the olive aluminum version of the aluminum Ridge for about a month and I've had zero issues. The RFID blocking also doesn't block the tracking with my Tile Slim.
I just bought a Rossm because I couldn't justify the price of Ridge. Decided to look for reviews of it and came across your video. My tip is to push your cards up and then squeeze the wallet so it fans out the cards a bit then you don't have to take all the cards out to find the one you want.
I have the ridge carbon fiber wallet. I picked it up as a present for Christmas. I bought it on Black Friday, and received it for about $90. I like it. What I don't like about it is the access to push the cards out forces you to use your left hand. You can't use your right hand to pull them out. This is due to the way in which the elastic is hooked into the case. The elastic has a small hole where it comes out on the same side where you push your cards, meaning you can not reverse the elastic and make that an area where you pull your cards instead of pushing them. That's one thing I really don't like about it. The other thing is every time you slide your cards in, if you don't push them in perfectly perpendicular, they rub against the elastic on an angle that feels perfect for cutting. It's only a matter of time before they're always rubbing in the same spot and that elastic is going to fail. For the price, I think it's really well constructed, I think it's an interesting idea, but I think it's too expensive.
As a former thickazz wallet person, I can probably provide some insight. I got a Ridge two years ago. Short review is it’s pretty neat and has keep my wallet stuffing under control. Some of the drawbacks to this type of wallet mentioned in this video you figure out after a while. When stuffing cards in and they get snagged, you quickly figure out you can do a subtle little twist on the corner of the card and create a gap that you hold open with the side of your other hand. You also get into the habit of putting the cards in a set order. License on the front. Most used card on the back. Least in the middle. To avoid taking them all out, you soon learn you can fan the cards using that thumb cutout by pressing on the cards at an angle. The elastic on mine started to “break in” and I was getting nervous, but it eventually hit a sweet spot and has held up ever since. There’s no nicks or dings anywhere after all this time, and it’s been through a lot. Still, it often ends up in my back pocket and it’s very uncomfortable there, so I’m sad I’m going to have to figure something else out….
Great review thanks. I have had the ridge for a few years and love it. You are right on about the negatives but depending on your preferences it definitely outweighed by the pros of the slim and easy to use. It is easy to get over the negatives and I don't even notice it anymore, but count on pulling out all the cards when looking for a certain card. I was looking for my son who just got his DL and only has a couple cards and a traditional wallet is way to big, especially for a 15/16 year old lifestyle, but they still need something to hold their DL, school ID and a CC. I forgot how much the ridge cost so I went with the Rossm as it is less than a 1/3 the cost.
I'm a fan of the Minimalist wallets...it's just hard for me to reduce the number of cards. Lol...I too am a fan of saving a few dollars. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
I bought the Rossm, with the expectation that it wouldn't last, but would allow me to get used to the minimalist experience. The long-term plan was to buy one of the fancy ones (maybe a Fantom or an Aviator), but the Rossm has held up so well that I can't see myself blowing $100 or more for a name-brand. I will say that the Rossm is best with around 9 or 10 cards. If you carry more, finding the right one becomes too inconvenient, and you probably want the card-fanning features of the Fantom X and Aviator Slim...
I have had my gold Ridge wallet with a Cash strap and Coin insert, for 5 years. Never had a problem with it, just a little cleaning. I also put in a Tile slim tracker, although I was never lost it.
The Amazon knock off I picked up 2 years ago. It still holding up no issues with exception for cosmetics scratching on the money clip. thought it was time I step up to the real deal. When I saw that you can purchase a money tray and the I found the "Aviator Wallet" I think it solves some of things I don't care for on the ridge wallet. I think that will be my next wallet .
I have both a Ridge wallet and Aviator wallet (and a couple generic ones of Ridge). So far my absolute fav is the Aviator. With the pull tab, it makes getting cards in and out a breeze, easy to fan them out to find just the right one and they slide right back in. Add in the coin section that doesn’t really add any bulk to the wallet like it does on the Ridge, it’s the best one out there IMO.
Know I’m late to the game here, but I want to point out that the trick to accessing your cards in these things is to get used to the card fanning motion. That indent there let’s you pop all the cards out on one side, and then you use your thumb in your index to fan them out. I have 10 cards in my ridge and now that I’m used to it, find it really easy to get to the card I need. You also over time will set up a system for where certain cards go. For me, all cash cards are kept on the money strap side and my important stuff (IDs, member cards) are on the front side.
This must’ve come up in my feed bc I’ve been watching a lot of hiking and backcountry gear reviews on here lol- but, I subscribed to your channel after watching this video. Thank you for your content & honest, detailed reviews!
Nice review. I just ordered a Ridge. Even though it is more expensive I prefer the “brand name” rather than the one that is compared as an alternative.
I have wallet anxiety lol.. I am ALWAYS making sure i have my wallet. This little thing would have be having a panic attack every hour because I wont be able to feel it. lol. But i still want one!
I currently have a leather wallet by a company called stock and barrel. It’s a really nice bifold wallet made of full grain leather that’s really worn in and darkened well for the past 4 years. Honestly the best wallet I’ve ever had. I’ve been looking at the ridge wallet cause it seems nice to have such a small wallet. I got my current one because it was small but the ridge is even smaller and I’d love to have one that’s super simple and compact. I want to try it but I’m still on the fence of giving up my nice leather one haha.
Buy the RossM wallet and try it out for a while. Better to spend $30 on the RossM than 130 on the Ridge only to find out that a wallet like that does or doesn't suit your needs. I personally went with the RossM and I like it. Feels really premium in the hand and comes with both the cash strap and cash clip and has a spare band and screws if I ever need them. I can't justify paying 100 dollars more for the same product.
I recently picked up the ridge Damascus wallet and I was really impressed with the quality (not so much the price - lol) thanks for stopping by and commenting.
I like to use Travando slim wallet for about $30 on Amazon. Since I have only two credit cards I prefer the cheapest one than the Ridge. Thanks for sharing and God bless.
Thank you for this review… I just bought a ridge wallet for my husband because he was raving about it but he got it and seemed disappointed lol although I knew yo myself it seems to not make sense because you will have take out all the cards lol but he was so adamant about getting it so hey .. “ Happy Birthday baby!” Lol
Once I went ridge I’ll never go back. The quality and warranty are crazy good. I currently have the same one and plan on eventually upgrading to the carbon fiber blue one.
Do you have the money strap or clip? I really want to know how the clip feels when in your back pocket and you're sitting. Lol. No one seems to try this out. It's the only reason why I'm leaning towards the strap instead of the clip. The clip seems like it might hurt my bottom.
The slim wallets are cool, but I’ve been using a medium size tension paper clip for years. You can buy an assorted size pack for a few bucks and the clip lasts forever.
First off GO BILLS.. second, I have both wallets, and the reason I usually go for the ridge is because you have a ton of color and material options. I ended up giving the Rossom to my kid..
I recently switched to the Extremus via Amazon switching from a leather tri fold and I don't see me ever going back to my old dad wallet. Good video thanks for the review
Bought my Amazon wallet back in April 2018. I love it and it’s still going strong. 1 band now has a slight tear, but not effecting it’s purpose. Today I ponied up and bought a ridge TOPO just because I like the design. If you don’t want to spend the money on the Ridge, you will be more than happy with the Amazon version.
keep getting new wallets for my minimalism OCD - these are not my cup of sugar cause of the mechanical stress on the cards which keep scratching over each other - as well as the folded bills - so i went with stuff like the frenchie speed wallet - nice "best of both worlds" and you can keep dollar bills unfolded and still have solid minimalism.
I actually have the Rossm and I love it. You do have to learn how to use the wallet correctly though. Practice holding it and pressing the cards out using the inset. And you have to practice fanning your cards so that you can grab the right one. I only carry four cards and my ID with me though, so perhaps if you have as many twelve cards it might be more difficult.
I found a zippered "business card holder" at office max years ago for $3.95, and it serves as a perfect front pocket wallet. The idea of calling a $99 contraption a "minimalist" wallet seems ridiculous to me. The exact opposite of minimalism.
Minimalism isn’t just about price. In fact, often a minimalist spend more to own long lasting quality but owns less stuff. A couple high quality pairs of shoes that cost $300 to $400/pair but last you 20-30 years (like Allen Edmonds) is minimalist. One brown pair. One black pair. Done. Quality over quantity. Minimalism…an old money principle.
Is that zippered purse built with rfid blocking technology G’pa? If not lil Johnny is gonna be buying 100$s of dollars of skins on Fortnite with your money. Should have spent the $30 on the rossm & kept up with the times.
I bought the ridge wallet. I’m happy. Might suggest to buy the Rossom first to see if this type of wallet is for you. Ridge has life time warranty and made in USA. That’s mainly what you pay for
@@Jeffreviews4u I’m not surprised I guess. I was under the assumption they were USA. Either way. It’s a lot to spend on a wallet. Side note my aluminum plate dented easily. I’m dealing with their warranty dept, So we will see if that’s any good too
I 've had the ridge wallet. It lost its clip rigidity in less than a month. I replaced it with the rossm. It came with both a clip and an elastic band/strap. Both were OK. However, using these money-clip wallets force you to fold your cash into quarters. Therefore, to access any cash you have to remove all of it exposing your money to everyone around you. I'm from NYC. That just not done. It's dangerous. Furthermore, you'll tend to want to sort your bills to keep smaller bills on the outside of the stack so you reduce exposing larger bills while making small purchases. This causes you to be more exposed as you'll be futzing with cash in public much more than with a wallet with a bill-pocket. I reverted to a minimalist bi-fold that stores my 12 cards, has an ID card window and a pocket to single fold cash into. Its only a little longer, but much thinner.
I learned that you can't keep the wallet with the clip and your phone in the same pocket. The clip immediately scratched my iphone screen literally the day I got my phone and I've had to live with it since then. Nothing any place could do to fix it. I know, you say I needed a screen protector. Well, I didn't think I needed one with this new glass that they used on the 13. I learned my lesson.
love the vid, 2 things to point out, you did the nfc test wrong, you needed to clear out back to the first screen after you put the card in the wallet, 2nd thing a nfc reader cannot read rfid cards like credit cards. NFC is near field communication, while rfid is radio frequency identification. They are 2 different sets of technology
The nfc screen doesn't matter...it still reads. You only see the initial screen 1 time and then it's different. You're right NFC and RFID are different....however they run on the same radio frequency. The thought here is if NFC is blocked RFID will be as well. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
I heard that's the problem with the carbon fiber Rossm wallet. I have not tried the other ones, but I heard that they are more rounded - the sharp edges are an issue for me as well
I have a ridge wallet with a money clip not a strap I had to stop using it when my arthritis got too bad for me to push the cards out but I still have it and use it as back up I got a new stile one with a activation button at the bottom this pushes the cards up in a slight step so you can see the card you want and is easier to move cards to find the one you like I normally cary the two I use the most on the top they appear more visible when you activate the trigger button to open up the wallet
I got rid of all my store cards by using an app called keyring. I use a cheap $12 ebay wallet, black carbon fiber, it has served me well for years. I'm finally think about upgrading. My recommendation is try one of those cheap ones first before you decide to splash big on a ridge or anything else. Thanks for the video.
I have a rossm. I like it for cards. I live abroad and am in the US summers only. I only use it summers when I am mostly using cards and no cash. To help keep thing simple, the most used cards are on either side of the wallet, not the middle. I have a strap. I don't like it much, but cash is secure with it. I love the small size. When abroad I found another minimalist wallet that seems to be out of business now, "coolman". its splits the size of a rossm and a traditional wallet. But it has a good size change pocket which in many countries is a necessity. (Japan anything smaller than $10 (1000 yen) is a coin. THis wallet has a clip but I find it a difficult to use as well. Have to remove all the cash or keep bills folded separately. It's big problem is the leather for the card pockets stretched so if I have a card out and I am not careful the remaining cards can slid out as well.
i would like to add I have used the carbon fiber ridge wallet for over a year now and I haven't noticed a single single scratch while looking at it during this video. I cant speak for the titanium plates maybe they scrape more idk. Also the money strap, I don't think you'll ever lose money, it doesn't seem to have even lost its grip at all, and i know they have replaceable elastic for wallet but I haven't needed it. Also fun fact if you have nothing else to use to scratch a scratcher it works great for that lol. I was in a pinch at Christmas and had nothing to it with.
I have had my ridge wallet for over a year, best wallet I have ever had, after all this time no scratches or damage, the best way to get cards out is set them in order of most used and so on. Again best wallet I have ever had
nice review... been using a knock-off version from Keymarx.. Getting a Ridge from Amazon. Can't wait for it to arrive. GO BILLS!!! I saw the mini helmet and water bottle and recognized them
I'm sure that the cheaper versions are just fine, but personally I have never had good luck with "off brand" products. I would rather spend the extra money on something I am pretty certain will be a good product. I have had a Ridge wallet for about 3 maybe 4 years and I love it, although I think the prices have increased a bit since I bought mine. I think the aluminum one was 75$ back then.
I have a wallet much like your traditional wallet. Been thinking about switching to something more modern. My wallet is 25 years old and starting to look a bit worn
I've had my Ridge for about 2 years now and I love it. The bootleg versions have little minute things that don't allow it to function as well...suck as the chamfered edge which makes it much easier to get your cards in.
I use a regular leather wallet in my right pocket with my phone and my pistol is in my left pocket, a ridge wallet would scratch the hell out of my phoen, so it is a no go for me....you most likely don't conceal carry....
I bought my Ridge over a year ago. They were $70 at the time. Best wallet ever. I don't carry a lot of cards or cash, so it's perfect for me. If I knew about the Amazon wallet at the time, I would of bought it. I've never spent more than $20 on a wallet ever. But the Ridge wallet was the best option at the time for minimizing pocket space. Great review.
I too have used the Ridge for a while - about 6 months. It works best with 3-4 cards. I would have liked some comments about the money clip - so far I have only used the band.
I've had a Ridge for a couple of years for cards and separate money clip for cash. It's as you said - a pain to get the right card, etc. Less bulk is a plus, but I'm thinking of returning to old school for the cards.
Taking the cards out is still faster than opening a bulky wallet and remembering where you put a specific card, I've tested this with a friend who has a bifold, and I was still faster....I excluded using the fanning method and just took them all out, was still faster. As for the strap, get one with a money clip, I can hold up to 12 bills quartered, and 20 bills folded once.
I just got the Amazon version that is NOT the Ridgeway and so far love it. WOW mine did not come with a fancy box or screwdriver but have a screwdriver that would work anyways
I, too, find it difficult to look for the card needed at the point of sale, however I have overcome by preselecting the card that is going to be used. With all the pay apps on your phone, it is just a bad day when you need to start pulling stuff out of your wallet.
Thank you I'll stick with my traditional wallet taking out all cards to find one specific card to pay on a busy day at the store or on a windy day or losing receipts can't have coins people behind you in line getting mad or imagine dropping all your cards on the floor , seems like a gimmick . Thank you so much for the review I'd ask coworkers to show me how they would take out a specific card in case they would all change the subject or put their ridge wallet back in their pocket now I know why. I also forgot to add won't taking out your debit cards with the chip ruin your card I've heard these wallets messing up people's cards .
Great review. I like these type of clip wallets. I got an amazon cheapy one but it still works good. The only down side is the hard corners put holes in my jeans like crazy.
My lady just bought me one for Xmas 2021. And when she told me it was a wallet because the one I have is a hamburger lol. I couldnt imagine putting all my important stuff in it. I try to nicely tell her to return it and keep the money but that didn't go over well. So I attempted to transfer my old stuff to my new one. Wow it was hectic trying to get my cards out I'm guessing maybe because my wallet is a virgin. When I asked where would I put my ins cards ss card etc. She informed me just take pictures of them with my phone and save it. I swear I'm so old school, maybe that's why I put the few things that I got into it back into my old wallet. Unfortunately I haven't figured out what I'm going to do with my Ridge wallet. For the time being it remains on my dresser.
I'll take my ridge if I'm headed to dinner and don't need the larger wallet. I see the conveniences of a Minimalist wallet but...I like carrying what I need...lol. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
I had thought about the same thing. Take it out on dinner and when I'm dressed up going to nice events. For it is more professional, savvy and perfect for such. Amen thanks for it won't stay on the dresser chief.
I’ve got the rossm gunmetal it was $30 and it’s perfect for what I do. I’m in construction so leather wallets are nasty being in my pocket on a hot day.
Finally found someone who actually tests the RFID blocking capability. Thank you!
Absolutely! Thanks for stopping by and commenting 🙂
I switched to the carbon fiber Amazon version 3 years ago with the money clip, I love it I wish the edges were had Rounded edges but still prefer it. The elastic straps are still working like new and I have a replacement set that came with the wallet.
I just can’t see why I’d spend 3 times more for a ridge wallet
very cool and thanks for sharing your experience!
I'm sure you whish the corners were rounded as they burn holes in your trousers
I’m sure a piece of sandpaper laying on a hard surface could easily remove the edge sharpness.
One thick elastic. Holds 15 cards and bills. ;)
I've had my rossm for a year and there is some plastic wrap that is coming off of it, the wallet works fine but aesthetically it's pretty ruined and now ugly tbh
I found a ziplock bag is the most minimalist wallet I ever had.
LOL, they are pretty cost effective. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
For me it’s the good old rubber band. Works about the same as this Rossi/Ridge set up for a fraction of the price
@@pythonalley8882 I find that hair bands work well too. Seem to last a bit longer as well. Although rubber bands are not exactly expensive to replace.
😂😂

I appreciate the feedback. I'm all about saving some money. Glad you found a wallet that worked for you. Have a great day and stay safe.
4 months later how is it? And is it good for like 15 cards and like 30 20 dollar bills?

For people wondering, if you could only have one, do you prefer the strap or clip?
Are the wallets mentioned in the video still valid in 2024?
I looked for them a short time ago and they are available, but if you want, look for the Vionentus Smart400, which are very similar but newer.
I really like the ones in the video, but if the ones you mentioned are similar, I can look for them to see.
I hesitate to trust them but it is better then that you look for them and draw your own conclusions.
Well, I'm going to trust them, but I'm still going to look for them to see how they are.
good
I have a $13 version bought on Amazon with a money clip. It's a little beat up, has some nicks and scratches, but it blocks RFID. Bought it May 2019 and it still works just fine.
Makes sense. I recently tested the Damascus ridge wallet and I was pretty impressed with the quality. Thanks for sharing.
Yeah they’re totally 5 grams less. Definitely noticeable.
I've had the Amazon version for a year or so now. No issue with loose straps whatsoever. And $30 Canadian. Ridge is ridiculous
@@KeystoneGPro Mmm, coming from a person named Ridge, that's saying something!
Titan X is more affordable and has a really good money clip. I have one
I've had that exact Ridge aluminum wallet for almost 2 years now. No issues. Yes, it is scratched and showing wear. It is often sharing a pocket with keys, or a Microstream light, or a money clip, or a pocket knife. So it has "character" now. ;-)
I keep just 5 cards in it.
Thanks for sharing your experience with the RIDGE wallet. Have a great day and stay safe.
I got a Ridge wallet for Christmas in 2019 and love it, been my daily carry ever since. Really minimized how much junk I carry around. I’m now keenly aware of all the George Costanzas walking around with their huge wallets
Edit: it’s the “burnt titanium” one and has held up really well minus scrapes and scuffs.
Happy to help! Thanks for taking the time to comment.
3 months later whats yall thoughts?
It's still in tip top shape but that might be bc my son only has 3 cards in his wallet. Plus he's not carrying around a ton of cash either lol so not much wear and tear from his end. Still happy with it nonetheless
@@cp1223 Thank you!!
I have a carbon fiber version from Amazon that cost $22. I have been using it daily for 4 years. It has a few almost impossible to see scratches and still works perfectly.
Wow, that's great! Thanks for sharing your experience. Have a great day and stay safe.
4 months later how is it? And is it good for like 15 cards and like 30 20 dollar bills?
I picked up the Amazon version about a month ago for the same reason you mentioned - tired of the bulk in my back pocket. But to be honest, I don't think it's going to work as a daily wallet. I just have too much stuff I need to carry - drivers license, company cc, 3 personal cc's, gun carry permit, proof of insurance for car, and proof of ins for Harley. I will probably keep it for those times when you just need a cc, dl, and ins. But for every day use, I will keep searching for something different. Thanks for the thorough review!
Have you checked out the Serman Brands minimalist wallet? minimalist style in a traditional look. ua-cam.com/video/LLMFfxDfR3w/v-deo.html
RIDGE wallets come with a No Hassle band replacement for when it gets old and ratty. Just contact them and they send you out another that you can use that neat little screwdriver to install. I have 2 now and one is several years old and it has aged really well. I've done two band replacements on it and it is still going strong
That's an awesome tip. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day and stay safe.
Very cool. Thanks for sharing.
I just bought a Rossm because I couldn't justify the price of Ridge. Decided to look for reviews of it and came across your video. My tip is to push your cards up and then squeeze the wallet so it fans out the cards a bit then you don't have to take all the cards out to find the one you want.
Thanks for the tip! Have a great day and stay safe.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experience with this wallet.
I appreciated your review on these wallets. I wish they made one that would allow me to carry my police badge as well.
You should totally reach out to the company... that's a great idea. Thanks for sharing
Check out Dango. They’re similar but they have a wallet specifically designed for badges
1" binder clip .
The best wallet I ever had .
I am carrying 6 cards and 10 bills at this time .
The best bang for the buck .
Lol. That's a bargain for sure and easily replaced if needed. Thanks for sharing.
Yes, been using a binder clip for 20+ years and haven’t found anything better.
I got a Rossom Wallet after watching this video and I am very pleased with it Thanks.
That's awesome. Thanks for letting me know!
I have a trove wallet and love it but keep hearing about the ridge
My Ridge wallet was a gift from my sons, didn’t cost me a thing. As an old guy, it took some getting used to.
Very cool. It is a bit of a learning curve. Thanks for sharing.
I just got a Mountain Voyage slim wallet. that's what brought me to your channel, Jeff. Subscribed.
When I saw that you can purchase a money tray and the I found the "Aviator Wallet"
I think it solves some of things I don't care for on the ridge wallet. I think that will be my next wallet .
That's awesome. Thanks for sharing!
That's cool! Thanks for throwing your support my way. Have a great day and stay safe.
Lol. Maybe they'll make one with a chain to attach to your belt. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
The ridge has an AirTag clip for the wallet…I’m guessing it would also work for the Rossm since they’re about the same size
1:50 They’re very similar. I don’t want to get them mixed up. 2:50 A minute later…
Lol. The tools look very similar. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
I've been using the Rossm for over a year now and it's been a great investment. Fantastic wallet.

Do you have the money strap or clip? I really want to know how the clip feels when in your back pocket and you're sitting. Lol. No one seems to try this out. It's the only reason why I'm leaning towards the strap instead of the clip. The clip seems like it might hurt my bottom.

@@Jeffreviews4u yeah definitely it's a solid wallet. Also very affordable
Lol... wait until 4 PM today. A video will be released outlining 4 additional Minimalist style wallets...I'm addicted to them too...lol.
The Frenchie wallet looks bad ass!! Might get one 🤔
Stylin
🍻 seen some awesome 3d prints
Is that zippered purse built with rfid blocking technology G’pa? If not lil Johnny is gonna be buying 100$s of dollars of skins on Fortnite with your money. Should have spent the $30 on the rossm & kept up with the times.
I bought the ridge wallet. I’m happy. Might suggest to buy the Rossom first to see if this type of wallet is for you. Ridge has life time warranty and made in USA. That’s mainly what you pay for
I thought they were made in the USA too but the boxes for my Ridge Wallets say made in China.
I learned my lesson.
whoa - that stinks. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for this review. I'm looking into getting a slim wallet, and I'm glad that you noted a few "cons" so that I can make an informed decision.
Glad to help! Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
love the vid, 2 things to point out, you did the nfc test wrong, you needed to clear out back to the first screen after you put the card in the wallet, 2nd thing a nfc reader cannot read rfid cards like credit cards.
@@Jeffreviews4u that makes a lot of sense thanks for the clarification
Recently got the Rossm, the sharp edges were immediately noticed. May end up with ridge
I heard that's the problem with the carbon fiber Rossm wallet. I have not tried the other ones, but I heard that they are more rounded - the sharp edges are an issue for me as well
Great vid, loved the Seinfeld reference😂
Lol...Seinfeld was the best! Thanks for stopping by and commenting 👍
@@Jeffreviews4u no problem, and yes seinfled is my favorite!
Four cards is all I need for global traveling - Visa, debit, Amex, DL.
Thanks for sharing. Have a great day and stay safe
i have the grip wallet and it has worked well for years.

I've had my Ridge for about 2 years now and I love it. The bootleg versions have little minute things that don't allow it to function as well...suck as the chamfered edge which makes it much easier to get your cards in.
Thanks for sharing your experience! Have a great day and stay safe
I use a regular leather wallet in my right pocket with my phone and my pistol is in my left pocket, a ridge wallet would scratch the hell out of my phoen, so it is a no go for me....you most likely don't conceal carry....
@@retromojo1 If I did then I would find another way to conceal carry.
Thanks for sharing your experience with the RIDGE! I too have a bit of difficulty spending that much for a wallet.
Less bulk is a plus, but I'm thinking of returning to old school for the cards.
have you tried the serman brands wallets? minimalist style with the traditional look. ua-cam.com/video/LLMFfxDfR3w/v-deo.html
Thanks for sharing. Have a great day and stay safe.
I get 20 cards in my All-Ett wallet and I feel the cash is safer and easier to access. And it’s a very flat/thin profile in my back pocket.

Where do paper docs go? My registration(s) are paper as are other docs. Do they all get attached to the money clip/band?
Will a Tile tracker work through the RFID blocker?
You had me at "$25, probably made in the same factory."
