That's a great idea;bringing your own plates to the market then hanging out in the food court. I'm going to do that next time we go to Mae Hia, perhaps we'll see you all there. Another great market to explore is the Friday A.M. market on Soi Charoen Phrathet 1 "Thai Yai" and Yuenan food. There are food courts around there too.

Hi Marneli, thanks so much! This was a fun video, maybe somewhat basic, but definitely a real-life and honest view of what a market looks like here in Northern Thailand (this market is walking distance from my house actually!)
Went to the Chiang Mai area last year, and I definitely did not do it right when it comes to food, I must go back.... Do you really carry that many plates/bowls when you ride? I usually carry 1 or 2 collapsible bowls, you seem like you're expecting Thanksgiving. Lol.

Your salivating and appetizing selection of foods remind me so much of my years in Thailand and also where I was originally from(Myanmar). Wish I have those here in the U.S. Great job Joel.
Love these videos! Thank you.
Tara, hi!! Glad you like them! Thanks for the messages, and enjoy your day today, whatever it holds for you.
Looks amazing Joel. Apart from the brain lol. I dare say it's lovely but I am not that well travelled. Loving your video's.
This coffee shop looks so peaceful
Nick, what up! I have one of my first IG friends to thank for this, hilariously its about 8km from my house here, and she lives in the USA, but she is the reason that I know this shop!! :) weird and amazing world of the internet
@@JoelsTastyRide the internet is a strange and wonderful place that has made our world smaller
Wow good food good content. Love the channel. I'm so going to northern thailand next time after this pandemic ends.
Every time I watched you eating that's make me so hungry because I knew how tasty they are.I feel you brother!👍👍👍
You know how to eat northern food for sure lol. That smash eggplant is one of my favorite jeaw.
Yeeees!!! Thaila, Excellent comment and yes the eggplant Has to be one of the better snacks in the world right? Thanks for the comment
I know that Mark is your friend but dang. It's striking how both of you speak the same way. How you decribe stuff and same kind of reactions.
Mainland jungle flavors... I want some now....
Lam Tah Tah Yummy!
chiang mai was my fav. place when i went.
Your Thai is excellent!, a lot better than me and I'm Thai. LoL
Loved this video and Mae Hia market will be on my list when visiting Chiang Mai one day my type of food lots of small dips and dishes to try and the best bit sharing then my fav matcha latte that i have with coconut milk instead of dairy xxx
Why have you moved Joel lol xxx
Another beautiful video thanks!! Wow pig brains looks tasty
Don!!! This is a golden recommendation yes thank you so much. I am looking for this right now on a map. I love your interest, and I also love learning about TaiYai food and culture!!! Thank you For this message yes if you see me in the market please call out :-) have a great day
@@JoelsTastyRide Thanks! It's at the north of the Night Bazaar area, right around the Mosque.
+ some of the best Khao Soi is around there too,if you ever do (another) Khao Soi tour.
Nice one Kru.
Hi Marneli, thanks so much! This was a fun video, maybe somewhat basic, but definitely a real-life and honest view of what a market looks like here in Northern Thailand (this market is walking distance from my house actually!)
I hope this pandemic will end soon and hoping to go in Thailand someday... 🙏🙏🙏... And I hope you are well.
Went to the Chiang Mai area last year, and I definitely did not do it right when it comes to food, I must go back.... Do you really carry that many plates/bowls when you ride? I usually carry 1 or 2 collapsible bowls, you seem like you're expecting Thanksgiving. Lol.
Joel where do you come from originally? I'm 🏴
Your Thai pronunciation and accent are excellent.
Can't wait for this pandemic to end and for things to go back to normal so that I can go to these places you show us through your vlogs! Thailand is so amazing! Stay safe and healthy Joel! Much love for you from the Philippines! 🥰
So cool Elaine, I am so happy to see you watching some older videos as well! This was one of my personal favorites by the way, wow.... what a day of Northern Thai food :). hahah
Much love right back to you, have a good one! See you for the next one!
What A Tea 🍵

You speak so so well !!! Ty for sharing my friend.. Buddha bless 🙏🏽🙏🏽🇺🇸
Thank you kindly Joy, awesome message today!
Great stuff Joe
Oh man, this makes me miss those delicious sausages!
Joel , looks so delicious !!! 🇰🇭🇺🇸
FACT : : They call it Sai Oua because when you eat it you say “ Oo Ah ! “ 😋 ... Joel this market looks amazing and makes me miss south east Asia so much . 😞... but I am happy to vicariously live through you ❤️. PS - every time I come back your sub count has jumped up nicely . You are on your way and I couldn’t be happier for you ! 🍺😎🤘
Excellent observation haha, yeah it just may be an uncontrolled reaction word, that has now turned into the name of the dish!! I wonder how many more there out there just like this (hey man, did you find a favorite version in Laos too by any chance?). Thanks for the love Jair, really so awesome, hope you are enjoying your day today as well bro!
Joel Bruner I ate some great Sai Oua in Luang Prabang and Vientiane. It was so delicious 😋 I wish I had some right now .😎 cheers man 🍻
@@AStupidTourist Oh hooooh right on right on... man. Some meaty memories for sure, some of the best hahah :) I remember this one lady, a genius!, aiming a gigantic fan horizontally across her grill, blowing smoke out into the street, Mark and I almost fell over, and then just instantly turned 90 degrees and ran straight for her, haha the type of situation where you could score SaiOua with your eyes closed... Laos, Laos is amazing...
Joel Bruner yes ! The fan blowing smoke into the street is mistake 🤣 cheers man 🍻
Your thai is so good. Feeling jealous..lol
Hi Lonewolf, thank you very much, awesome compliment. It took a lot of time, and a lot of Thai people helped me (very lovingly!) along the way.
It's so yummy and spicy too. 👌👌👌
