2:50 This guy is officially my hero!
I bursted out laughing hahaha that was so out of nowhere and random lmao imagine being in the crowd and you this dude approaching hahaha
Not sure, but this could be Jeff Waters from Annihilator.
@@ABoonePL nah they do look similar tho.
@@davidepannone6021 Maybe, but he is Canadian and a big admirer of Damage Inc, so... who knows ;).
Cuz not every one can do this and not to be a cringe?
Metallica should play this song more often.
Along with Trapped Under Ice and Dyers Eve yeah. Three songs that never got enough attention IMO.
***** Fuck yeah. Both of those songs are in my top 3.
@@progmetalnerd982 lars could play like 30sec of dyers he is just too old for that double bass😭
It’s a metal banger that riff is insane
3:19 wasn't expecting the double bass... dig it.
jon Q lars looks like he is dying lol but I still loved it
it is if you look closely
no need to see it, you can clearly hear it
he's supposed to do that there it's on the album
Shelley Younger He doesn't play the double bass in Dyers Eve for some reason.
1:48 never gets old
Luigi Cesare That riff is sick
absolutely savage!
personal favourite riff from metallica
This riff was absolutely ahead of it's time
Still is
A cool riff and this song is most thrashy Metallica's song. Sometimes I regret they don't went furthther with this thrash style.
no other BAND delivers the adrenaline, power and that chill in your spine like Metallica. were, still are, always be the kings
Metallica is my favorite band, bur dragonforce is more energy, lets hear fury of the storm)
Maybe in their prime, certainly not anymore. System of a Down crowd was the most insane I've been in, Korn was up there too
I can honestly tell you I’ve lost 110 pounds just because of them. I play their music and I get high. No other way to describe it
Slipknot maybe
@@rafaelfliperama literally came to this vid after watching slipknot surfacing live videos and thinking “I’d love to see damage inc live but doubt it’s anywhere near as exciting as slipknot”.
It’s not.
This is one of metallicas most underrated songs
why underrated? all mop are classics and great masperpiece album
@@mln9788 Well this is the least viewed and least talked about song on MOP, but I think its 2. Best song on MOP, behind Orion.
@@AS-bu9rw agree) my favourite are this a and welcome home, but i repeat all album are masterpeace like ride the ligthning and and justice for all
None of the 80s songs are underrated! They’re a fucking masterpiece! Black Album, Load ReLoad, Death Magnetic, and Hardwired are all underrated! Not St Anger
On the most overrated album, there I said it.
2:50 me every time I hear this solo
То
me too!!!
Go Kirk, GO!!!
OH YES!!!
the way James says Damage incorporated, the double bass of Lars, and the great solo by Kirk...
Shit this fucking shit is fucking awesome!!!... SHIET
1:47 damn that riff sound heavy af
2:18 that solo never get’s old, Kirk’s such a phenomonal guitar legend
Irregular tho. Most of his solos are too much similar, some are nearly the same
Metallica deserves a kickass guitar player. Kirk honestly is an average one.
Satriani would be way better!
ok i agree kirk is not the best guitar player but satriani in metallica would just be weird, get someone like kiko loreiro in there@@mohamedmouammine2805
@@mohamedmouammine2805this is one of the dumbest comments I’ve ever read. Congrats.
@@mohamedmouammine2805without kirk half of ride the lightning is gone like him or not he is vital to the band
2:49 all that REALLY matters in music!! I love that reaction!
3:19 that moment when Lars took the double bass.........Hell Yeahhhhhhhhhhh goose bumps
She how badass James got when Lars started to actually drum good. Haha
Almost died haha
I’m crying
Its fake
@@joeltallic5503 bruh
I would Die to see them in Concert!!! I am a 55yr old grandma! Have been following Metallica for many years now. One of the Best!
1:13 his old voice came back suddenly after that poof
For a couple seconds it did. I miss his old voice.
Jieuo Villanueva if he sang like that all the time he wouldn't have a voice after the first couple of gigs. If you want him to be able to keep touring and recording, he needs to preserve his singing capacity through a different technique. It might not be "metal", but it's the (more) correct way to sing.
@@deutschesmaedchen I agree 100% my friend
the double bass sounded great with the china cymbal for once :D
true
It sounds better because this was performance was properly mixed for DVD quality. Most of the live stuff Metallica posts these days is thrown together pretty fast with a quick mix which doesn't do very much for the band, makes em sound like shit most of the time.
Always sounds good😉
corona?
6 years ago i made this comment, why did i even try defend lars hahhahahaha
Holy fuck they were on point for this one, dayum!
By far my favorite metallica song. Super underrated.
That riff at 1:48 brings slayer's repentless to my mind
Same here bro
It's Kerry's favourite Metallica riff, it could've been the inspiration behind Relentless
Kerry King loves this song
1:55 That Lars fill was actually amazing
Well spotted
2:50 Some tongue action from this guy.
His girlfriend is a lucky gal!
1:47 I love that riff
2:19 the magic begins
Every fucking time that second riff comes in, it floors me 100% of the time
Robert, once again you are a beast, before now and forever
This is Awesome!especially from 3:20 Rob's killing it!
just another routine day lars double bassing :)
great to hear these very good songs Metallica don't play much: Escape, Disposable heroes, Damage inc, Trapped under ice.
they don't play dyers eve much either
Right But I don't like this one, so it's good they don't play it.
play look nimes,france,2009 y
Damage Inc is the Fight Fire with Fire version of Master of Puppets
When i first became a fan of metallica I always confused damage inc n fight fire with fire i used to think ffwf was on mop but now I know since a long time ago
Quebec Magnetic was one of their best live shows.
Together with mexico 2009. It was really peek performance for metallica
for me, one of their best songs ever
He's doing fine. I am a drummer and let me tell u that this song along with the rest of the album, the justice album and death magnetic is freaking hard to play. He's doing things which even younger drummers can't do. He's fine for his age.
If you think lars can't do double bass your wrong 3:19
Hear dyers eve
Ricardo Manzano actually dyers eve studio version has digitally added double bass
@@Aaron-ts4ym ah yes im sure it does. fucking mainstreamer. your the kind of guy who thinks enter sandman is the best metallica song
@@garrethigdon7678 he is right. it is confirmed
@@garrethigdon7678 I believe I once read about that being a thing. But he still was able to play fast double bass during that era, so I wonder why didn't he just do it normally.
My favorite DVD of 2009-2011, the way how they play, the sound is so clear and worked even the drum sound is great.
I'd have prefered more old stuff but I know this is the world magnetic tour.
The Best Performance of Lars in those years.
My 3 year old: "Dad, is this classical Metallica?"
Chris B ur lucky
r/thathappened
@@awesomeness0111 It happened. Mostly because my son is aware of classical music and knows the difference between "classic" and "post-Black album" Metallica from me playing them so much. I've played all different music for him and my 2 other kids. They're favorite is Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" which is funny because I like it but was never obsessed with it. 2nd is "Plush" by STP which I have always liked.
@Shallex i see you everywhere in the comments!
And my dog just did a backflip over my driveway
Unexpectedly Kirk nailed the solo in this!
Must be why this is arguably my favorite live solo.
silly, you mean he did not improvise. Improvisation is NOT sloppy playing because it is intentional.
kashsoldier I dont think he should be doing it then, whenever he tries it just sounds messy and incompetant. I mean, it's his shit so he can do whatever he wants obviously, but it doesn't sound good.
Tato Janashia To be honest kirk was still good when live here. I think he lost it around 2012. I still cherish these years...
Agreed. However, him improvising over Fade to Black solo in early years, sounds much more melodic and aesthetic than the studio version itself. (i.e Woodstock 1994, Moscow 1991 live shows.)
I still think he needs to reduce the amount of improvising he does and spend more time revising and learning his solos due to their genuine individualism. Not referring to solos that have obvious E minor pentatonic scales and patterns in the original versions (i.e Seek and Destroy, etc)
Recently, he's been butchering the Halo on Fire outro melodic solo. Sad.
That double bass gave me the chills ! 😬 amazing ! 🤘🏻☠
I don't give a fuck about how skilled or not skilled Lars is, that guy has been banging that shit for nearly 4 decades.
The sweat on his face spells *HERO*
That song is kickass. My favorite
all right finally lars sound like he's got a pair here. Wow he played that like he was back in 89...lol. great song and great album.
Man you know what i love about metallica, they have so many songs and albums that i dont even need any other music i can just listen to it forever
Every time I'm ready to leave this world this band pulls me back.
I really like the bass in this recording. The tone is great and it's perfectly audible for a thrash metal song
Mad respect to Kirk's guitar tech for setting up multiple Floyd Roses every night.
2:17 I love how James says "go" and Kurt proceeds to MELT HIS GUITAR.
Incredible , as always , by far , the most talented song writing duo in the genre ( James & Lars , Kirk & Rob , your all amazing , Ty for years of incredible music
I can't believe there are 28 since this was written!!! What a piece of history!
im a big met fan. enlighten me, 28 what? no offense i just think i missed it.....
jeffrey monroe 28 years
And I'm great meth fan. And meth too. Oh.
32 years
HOLY SHIT THE QUALITY
One of my favorite all time songs, cliff killed the intro on album basically doing Bachs version of come sweet death and doing it in typical cliff fashion making it his own, cliff was more than an amazing musician, he was a composer. James riffs and rhythms are fucking sick, so glad I saw damage Inc tour in 86. But I have to say the boys are slaying it still, this song is a hard one to play but songs fucking amazing , good job boys, cliff would proud!
I love that sound! So heavy
Awesome Damage Inc.!
Muito foda essa energia da banda com o público!
I'm 15 and have been listening to this band since I was born and yes they are amazing and your definitely right about bands now.
Just amazing.
3:06 so tight !
One of their best live performances
Record a concert in Portugal to see what is a crowd like ‘Tallica deserves! 🍻🇵🇹
ok i've seen metallica in 2014 in warsaw, but i understand now i totally need to see this band again so much, guys you are the reason why i still touch my guitar
James sounds so GOOD 🔥🔥🔥yeah
I grew up on rock music (metal, industrial, etc) but drifted into the world of underground hip hop in my young adulthood. Regardless, Metallica still impresses me. Damage Inc is classic and to see them playing it live at their age is pretty awesome.
Awesome ! Great performance !
lars kick assssss
Best song of metallica I think)
+Влад Иванов to the top with you!
+Motor78 Such trash
It was, in 86-th... Now I'm practicing the bass playing of the original album "Master of puppets" and I can hear the difference between record from 1986-th and this "performance". This version playing slower than original, and I understanding all musiciants of Metallica. I will aiming for original versions of my favorite songs))) And maybe sometimes we will playing this songs in original in Russia.
It's third for me, behind My Friend of Misery and ...And Justice for All.
Влад Иванов I luv master of puppets
bass is insane!
This song is SO brutal!!!
Lars did great here
Editor did even better.
Art Hazard fuck yourself
The Video Maker With pleasure
They were really on their game for the Quebec Magnetic shows.
His tempo was all over the place
Lars actually killed the double bass... Thats bad ass
i loooove this song and they did an excelent job:) a very good live version
When Metallica is TIGHT - THEY ARE UNMATCHED the best metal ever conceived !
They should play this shit with Lombardo
For real
Dyers eve
Why? 🤪
@@paulkline3011 why not
He will play these songs with ease
LA MEJOR BANDA DEL MUNDO SIN DUDA
@2.51 I know that feeling well - fukn pumped! Awesome
fucking perfect!!never seen metallica play like this precision.. every year is a new surprise! i love this guys!!!
1:13 never gets old always gives me goosebumps
Lars is a monster on drums. Amazing.
@L. Lazman Your comment is gay.
@L. Lazman he ain’t a fake drummer are you high
@L. Lazman no I’m 21 gtfoh
@L. Lazman who tf cares Metallica is the greatest metal band of all time and you can’t deny Lars drumming in the 80s
@L. Lazman well your entitled to your opinion just like me and Lars did play dyers eve in the studio there’s a demo on UA-cam somewhere sure there was some splicing and a little editing involved but he did play it
Criminally underrated
this compared to a performance from the last couple years... it's amazing how much better they sound nowadays
Fucking beautiful
you know nothing, jon snow!
seriously though, kick ass. I miss the old vox though :(
This is probably the best performance of damage inc.
I saw them at Ozzfest 2008 and they played it. it was awesome. they had some deeper cuts that night...like and justice for all, leper messiah, etc
Listen too 1989 version of it live at shoreline amphitheater
Wao... Escuchar Metallica a través de los años y ver cómo aún pasando los años mantienen una condición increíble... Sé que es un vídeo de 2013... Pero aún suenan igual con la misma energía para unos señores dé casi 60 wao
Metallica is the best band ever! hands down, their song writing, their performance, no contest. They are Rock Gods.
We're passed the megadeth v metallica shit guys
those who start fighting about these things, they are children.
No, we're not. What's REALLY annoying is people who continue to post the crap like "The feud is over". People are human, people are born to argue and debate, and Metallica vs. Megadeth is the oldest, longest running, most FAMOUS metal/rock feud OF ALL TIME. Nearly 31 years people have been talking about this. It's never going to stop. Who cares if it stops or if it doesn't? It's a debate. Debates are healthy. Leave people alone and let them do their thing.
Games'n' Guitar It's a fucking pointless debate that not even Dave Mustaine indulges anymore, you can like both bands or just one of them and there's literally no need to insult the other. If you think saying the feud is over is more annoying than a pair of 15 years old's arguing over who's better than please go join in.
My point was that you can't stop it, so why add to it by telling people to stop it? Both types of people are annoying. The feud is literally on EVERY Megadeth and Metallica video. The only non-annoying ones are the ones who choose to ignore it. It's not hard, at all. Why does it bother you that it is a pointless debate? Yeah, it is. Good luck changing people's minds from continuing the pointless debate, though.
Games'n' Guitar Cause I can say what I want, and why don't don't take your own advice and ignore me, good luck changing my mind though.
I've been trying to learn this song on guitar for a year now, I don't get it!
JAMES HETFIELD IS A DOWNPICKING MANIAC!! (Not in the bad way)
I can nearly play it, but it sounds like shit...
+Coolspy Gaming This is nothing compared to Master of Puppets. lol
Bhavnish Buck haha! :)
+Coolspy Gaming i can play master of puppets at 120% (100% normal MoP speed) how james originally plays it... What does that make me? :v
sermerlin1 Someone who likes to brag a lot.
Coolspy Gaming How does that make me someone who likes to brag a lot? :v
I LOVE this song!! Great performance! Even Lars and Kirk did great on this one (live)
ooo the way james said "damage incorporated" gave me chills
3:20 yeaaaahhhhh🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
"wah wah waaaah wah wah wah" - Kirk Hammett 2014
I love to see Metallica playing these classics
Bad ass song and great to hear it live!
LARS U ARE THE BEST DRUMMER,BECAUSE U WRİTE WORDS U ARRANGE THE SONGS AND U PLAY THE DRUMS.COMPLETELY MUSİCİAN...
That's not how it works.
He doesn't write the lyrics, James does.
And also, even though I do agree, Lars is a great drummer, your comment is still a clusterfuck of different words that has nothing to do with being a drummer thrown all over the place.
lars wrote the lyrics to eye of the beholder and im sure he wrote more
Lars never wrote any lyrics (words) for Metallica.
All the Metallica lyrics written by James Hetfield,
only exception is: Cliff Burton wrote "To live is to die" & Kirk Hammet wrote the chorus of "Creeping Death".
Polash Mahmud play.google.com/music/preview/Tnatfolk7utfmchl74mnfqo35jm?lyrics=1&pcampaignid=kp-lyrics
at the bottom "written by Lars Ulrich"
hetfield, Ulrich, and Hammett got writing credits but Ulrich wrote the lyrics
will see you guys March 27th \m/
anger,aggression,intensity have no age
Brutal Lars, when he wants to play awesome, he does it.
3:19 Lars enters god mode
you mean protools
this one sounds faster than the normal one
thats the most badass look james ever had
lars was killing it in this tune!!
Brutal song! but what's wrong with the public??
When you listen to recordings they turn the volume of the crowd down and of course, on the video it appears mostly the band and not thw crowd. So, they could be screaming and haeadbanging the fuck out, but we can't really listen and/or see. For me at least, is better this way because i can hear the song better and really enjoy the show as if i was there, watching the band, not the public.
i wanted the whole audience to scream damage inc
People that dont get metal dont get it , it strikes that nerve in your soul , this proves it
The double bass at 3:19 is amazing!
