Ahh.. who needs that?! lol 4, His Kit is stupidly too big! 5, There are WAY too many useless f….ing drums around him??? 6, He has them WAY too high! 7, Modern Rock drummers are using lower Jazz style setups nowadays! 7, Modern Rock drummers keep the number of drums to a minimum; because it helps if the fans can see the drummer, on live gigs 8, It’s a lot easier to hit a drum harder, faster, slower “laidback” Aka- Timing! When the drums are below/level/or slightly above you! Finally 9-10, I’d take Brook C. TWICE on Sunday over this guy! I’m sure you know who Brook C. is? If not? Just watch all of her Covers! Nah there was parts with the double ride during the bridge that was too much for the music and stepped on the vocals, that’s where Lars’ version was better. His intro and verses were way better though

@@CANAL_FY fácil zuar o cara hoje velho, E até preguiçoso, mas na década de 80 só babando ovo dele, Lars não precisa provar mais nada pra ninguém, hoje está a baixo sim de Kirk e James, porém sua importância é gigante para o metal, com composições épicas, gente que toca bem melhor não consegue compor nada parecido, tbm influenciou grandes nomes da batera como o próprio Aquiles, Eloy Casagrande, e nada menos que Mike Portnoy, só isso!! Tem Muitos bateristas super técnicos que tocam na velocidade da luz, mas que não trouxeram nada de relevante para metal e a música em geral!

Of course not. He can't even play Dyer's Eve in real time. The double-bass was played by him slow, then it was sped up and DUBBED over the track. For this reason, he never played Dyer's Eve Live as per the album.

Richard. I think he is speaking about how they are live now. Lars just isn't the same drummer he used to be, he's just not. It's not his age either!! He's a LAZY LAZY drummer. Watch their Damage Inc video that was poated a few weeks ago. If you transplant Achilles's version into that song, I'm willing to bet everyone at that show would be going bonkers and I would venture to say that even the band would be more lively. In my humble opinion, it's the drums that set the tone and Lars has become plain, simple, vanilla or what ever word fits. You just don't see him playing hard like he used to. Also, it looks like he is in so much pain. When I was watching one of their pre-concert warm-up sessions, James and Lars were arguing a little bit about a specific part in a song that they were practicing and James had made a comment to Lars "well you don’t play that part like you used to". I wish I could find that but the point is Lars needs to get back behind his ever dwindling kit and start practicing his old school ways. Metallica WOULD sound so much better if Lars would you his arms and feet like he used to.

But... for those, who wish Metallica sounded like that or Metallica albums were rerecorded with Aquiles: how long before did you hear the original? I guess you are hipnotized by the size of drum kit and Aquiles athletism, so you don't mention that it is more straithforward version of original drum part with music partially buried under the double bass storm. Actually, most of Larss drum parts have no need to be improved or reinventioned, they suits Metallica music perfectly.
All this don't decline the fact that Aquiles did a great job! I just want us to show respect not only for him, but for Lars too: it is he who co-wrote songs ans wrote drum parts that inspired and still inspire millions!
Awesome as it is, I prefer the original! Just adding fast feet doesn't necessarily make it better, didn't really fit the song. Sometimes you can 'overplay ' things.
