You missed out an important information about the John Charles Stand! Why did LUFC call it the John Charles Stand? Simply because he financed the erection of the stand when LUFC sold him to Juventus!
You are absolutely spot on Sir! Apologies for missing it out, I've pinned your comment so folk don't miss this piece of important information. Thanks for your comment.
The proposed stadium move was to Skelton Grange in the Stourton area of the city (The old Skelton Grange power station site) around 2.5 miles away from the city centre, not 25 miles away in the village of Skelton :-)
During the late 60s/early 70's, the pitch was moved significantly to the North, in order to accommodate the larger stand that replaced The Scratching shed... The Kop was rebuilt first, 60 feet behind the original terrace, and then the pitch was shifted Northwards.
Man we really need a stadium expansion! We need it, so hard to get tickets! Premier League survival is more important but would be great to see the boys in the fresh again… been far to long! ALAW MOT 🤍💛💙🙌

No one sings “we all hate Leeds scum” louder than the Leeds fans.
ALAW!!!!
I don't blame you tbh, it is a quality song!

You are indeed correct Sir! Thank you for the clarification, apologies for the misunderstanding. I hoped you enjoyed the video nonetheless.

As a united fan, I will say this was very well done and hilarious, good job buddy!
Thanks very much bud, I appreciate your kind words. How are you feeling for the new season?
Missed out on the old Scratching Shed being replaced by the South Stand in the 70's.
Whoops, thanks for sharing.
We need a 80k capacity stadium. Keep the away allocation to 3k though. Most would be able to purchase tickets then.
That would certainly be a sight to behold.
Great vid mate

Hopefully you get to see them soon
I’m from south wales and the only ticket I could get this season is Leicester home on the 25th of April. £200 a ticket but 3 course meal etc.
Timothy Taylors isn’t from Leeds, it’s from Keighley.
ELLAND ROAD. GODS PLACE !!!!!
It certainly makes a lot more sense now why God has a Yorkshire accent...
Quality content - keep up the good work !
Thank you very much for your comment Robbie, much appreciated!
There was stories of a gypsy curse at elland back in the 60s & 70s .
Great video - lots of stuff I didn’t know about the ground - just to let you know it’s “spion kop” not “siphon” 👍
I'm glad you learned something new Mike. Thanks for keeping me on my toes! :)
And it's not even a picture of the Gelderd End (kop) I've no idea what ground it is, but it's definitely not Elland Road.
@@floridawhite Well spotted! It was nigh on impossible to find a picture of the original Kop at Elland Road but I would think it gets the point over.
Big clue for your search might have been to remember that the original kop had no roof until after 1968
"..would take a nosedive quicker than a Liverpool title charge" ffssss hahaha 😭😭
They got there eventually.
Where did you learn that unfeasibly accurate Leeds accent? .... Michael McIntyre?..... Keanu Reeves?....My dog?
I think it was Marcelo Bielsa...
Great Content you deserve more subscribers
That's kind of you to say. Thank you very much! :)
Agreed. Interesting and well made.
@@jonlinin9682 Thanks Jon, much appreciated!
Can you turn the music up
Sure thing bro!
WHAT???
Good video, its spion kop.
Cheers Ryan. Thanks for keeping me on my toes!
thanks
You're welcome!
Sorry about the pitch!
Any gossip on any potential take-overs of Newcastle to report Mike?
3:22 Thats fcking funny man
Honesty is the best policy.
Spion Kop
Good spot Sir!
As a club they should call it a day. All they do is bring misery to their brilliant fans. The club has been mishandled so badly over the years.
Cheer up Geoff, there's definitely worse clubs out there.
@@acivilconversation18 yeah could be worse. Could be a Newcastle fan.
Where have you been recently? Timbucto?
It's SPION kop... pronounced 'spee-on'
Great vid, a lot of info i didn't know even as a Leeds fan, like it was a shooting training range in ww1. Random. 👍
Thanks for your comment. I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
I think you’ll find it’s pronounced S-p-i-o-n kop. An interesting video nonetheless. Though you need to work on the dodgy Yorkshire accent.
Thanks for keeping me on my toes Ian. Glad you enjoyed the video.
No one says “reyt“in leeds we say “right” we’re not divs 👍
And you don't say "reyt" for "really" either Jack lad?
@@acivilconversation18 nope just plain and simple “really” but we do say kerry instead of curry😂
Everyone says reyt in West Yorkshire unless you've just moved in.
He must be a recent arrival
@@grindelston5968 you don’t know leeds then yer doylem
Coulda been worse and wouldn't bi reet.
Sithi.
