During the late 60s/early 70's, the pitch was moved significantly to the North, in order to accommodate the larger stand that replaced The Scratching shed... The Kop was rebuilt first, 60 feet behind the original terrace, and then the pitch was shifted Northwards.

They really don’t explain how it was built. Most old world buildings had a competition behind it. A lot of fluff in the story and stats but who actually built it? How many men? What tools? Horse and buggy? Where did all the material come from? How did they transport it? When did construction start/end? Bunch of nonsense in this video. Pay attention!

Just stumbled across this and as a saddo who likes this sort of stuff it is fun to find any roads that are out of zone, for example the A88 near Falkirk which is entirely in zone 9! One thing you didn’t mention though is that motorways in England and Wales use a separate zoning system from the A/B roads, numbered 1-6, whilst in Scotland they simply replace the A road for the most part. This is why Britain has no M7 but has an M876.

I think they had pile drivers similar to ours, they had cranes and from crane to pile driver its not so far. Few hundred kilogram stone hammer on a rope and simple guide would do the job 100x faster than thousands workers with hammer. People back in the day were not do different that much they didnt like to do to much work.

Kind of shocking that "Mustache Man" didn't do anything with the Ubahn, considering how much his party loved massive public works projects and their competition with the commies, you would think he would have wanted a system to compete with Stalins amazing Metro system in Moscow...

There’s a couple or errors here. First, the main reason why the U-Bahn dives underground after Nollendorfplatz (not Zoologischer Garten) has less to do with sewers than with Charlottenburg’s (then an independent city) resistance against elevated railways. Moreover, the East side of the city was never rich - generally speaker Berlin gets richer the more you move west. The area around Stalauer Tor was decidedly proletarian, and further to the east even more so.

The construction of the Sydney Opera House would be a good movie. The utter chaos that unfolded over the course of 14 years of construction, demolition and reconstruction is enough to make decent drama. They started working on the site before any plans were drawn. And started building columns for the roof before the roof was designed. This could have easily been a very costly mess, like many other mega projects.

There was no need for that. Yes there were a few minor discrepancies and historic info missed. Like, not just an oval cross bar but first to use a cross bar at all...instead of string! First for shin pads, goalkeeper gloves, first match a referee used a whistle etc. So when it comes to it Forest were the pioneers of the football we know and love today...oh and one more thing...Theh reason Arsenal play in red is because of Forest..Google it. Apart from that, not bad video 👍🏻

Important to note that another reason urban motorways are rubbish is that, due to induced demand, they cause a higher amount of people to drive and thus cause more traffic than you’d have without them.
