    I think dry measuring cups are not the same amount as liquid measuring cups.
    I think the glass measuring cups are for liquids and the opaque cups are for measuring dry ingredients, like oats.

    • @Thatcntrygirl1
      @Thatcntrygirl1 6 місяців тому +1

      You are correct. If you notice the wet measuring cups have the line about 1/2” below the top of glass . This allows sloshing room for liquids . At the dry cups done so that way you can level off the measuring with a flat scrape .

      @@Thatcntrygirl1 I wonder if they hold the same amount? Is
      1 cup dry measuring cup the same amount as 1 cup liquid measuring cup? In Europe they use a scale for the weight of the ingredients.

    I had some organic figs that had dried out. I soaked them overnight. I mashed three small bananas in bowl, added the blended figs I'd blended in the fig water, around 10 figs, added 1/4 c maple syrup Then I blended some buckwheat cereal and organic oats, around three c total. Added 2 tsp bp and mixed everything together. Refrigerated for an hour and made cookies! Good use of dried figs and they were delicious.

    I watched this video and went immediately into my kitchen and watched it again, following along with you guys! Luckily I had all the ingredients (except cardamom so substituted ginger). I don’t have a food processor but the nutribullet worked fine. Yum! It’s hard to get them flattened out, so mine were probably not as crunchy as yours, but still delicious! Thanks fellow women warriors! 😊❤

    I think I'll just roll them into balls put them in the fridge and eat them that way. They sounded way too crunchy cause I like a soft cookie. And I have a feeling the vanilla flavor will come through more when they're quote unquote raw

      It is important to cook grains or at least sprout them.. there’s something that needs broken down so we get the full spectrum vitamins plus avoid the thing that hinders digestion. Sorry I forget the terms. You can google it. Best wishes!

    These are great! I love everything I’ve made from this cookbook, so far. You guys really knocked it out of the park. Tonight I made the Carrot Mushroom Red Lentil Soup, and it is scrumptious. I did add a little Benson’s Table Tasty. I made it in the Instant Pot and threw 😊 in, including the mushrooms and beet greens. 15 minutes on high with natural release. The only things I added after were the lemon zest, lemon juice and cilantro. I omitted the onion and garlic because I have some gut issues, and it was still absolutely delicious. Thank you!!

    When you put the blade back into the empty food processor and give it a bit of a spin the blade cleans itself off. Then you can scrape it out of the container.

    Question? Isn’t maple sugar a processed sugar, since it’s boiled down to one tenth of its original content?

    • @paulcohen6727
      @paulcohen6727 6 місяців тому

      Yes, it is. Craisins also have sugar in them. I wouldn't use either. I'd substitute date sugar or date paste for a sweetener and perhaps ad a banana which also makes it sweeter and substitutes for butter in baked items. I'm not sure, but the chocolate chips may also be problematic.
