I think dry measuring cups are not the same amount as liquid measuring cups.
I think the glass measuring cups are for liquids and the opaque cups are for measuring dry ingredients, like oats.
You are correct. If you notice the wet measuring cups have the line about 1/2” below the top of glass . This allows sloshing room for liquids . At the dry cups done so that way you can level off the measuring with a flat scrape .
@@Thatcntrygirl1 I wonder if they hold the same amount? Is
1 cup dry measuring cup the same amount as 1 cup liquid measuring cup? In Europe they use a scale for the weight of the ingredients.
@@emilywilson7308 I’m not sure if they hold the same amount .
@@Thatcntrygirl1We will have to test this in our own kitchens!
@@emilywilson7308 I went in my kitchen earlier too and forgot
I had some organic figs that had dried out. I soaked them overnight. I mashed three small bananas in bowl, added the blended figs I'd blended in the fig water, around 10 figs, added 1/4 c maple syrup Then I blended some buckwheat cereal and organic oats, around three c total. Added 2 tsp bp and mixed everything together. Refrigerated for an hour and made cookies! Good use of dried figs and they were delicious.
Neat! Thank you for sharing!
Such a treat to open up UA-cam and find a Live with Jane and Ann!! Happy Thanksgiving from Oregon!
Just purchased my spiral-bound Be A Plant-Based Woman Warrior.... so I am ready! Let's bake cookies!
Me too, just got mine today. Happy Thanksgiving. Thank you, Jane and Ann!
Be sure to keep an eye on your Blood glucose levels especially eating oats
I’m with Ann. I always add twice the vanilla called for.😊
I have read your father´s book just because I am a nurse and would love to help patient in a different way.
I absolutely loved the book.
Found you guys and I love so much to see the way you both interacts, especially Ann. God bless her and you!
Thanks for the lovely content.
xx
These look amazing! Cardommon is a game changer! My mom is finnish and makes nissua bread which is cardommon coffee bread braided sprinked with sugar and baked...so delicious with coffee
I made these and for picky omni hubby made using chic chips and dry cherries. Big hit!! Thank you! Going to make again with dried blueberries!
I will definitely be making this for Thanksgiving! Thank you for the recipe, I know these will be yummy!!
What a great delicious and fun recipe 😋👏👏 love how excited you both got when you took it out of the oven 😍😍
What a great way to start my day….a video with Jane and Ann! The only way it would be better, would be if I was eating one (or a few) of these cookies while watching the video!! Thanks ladies for sharing and Happy Thanksgiving from 🇨🇦
I watched this video and went immediately into my kitchen and watched it again, following along with you guys! Luckily I had all the ingredients (except cardamom so substituted ginger). I don’t have a food processor but the nutribullet worked fine. Yum! It’s hard to get them flattened out, so mine were probably not as crunchy as yours, but still delicious! Thanks fellow women warriors! 😊❤
You just inspired me to go make these. I am so in the mood for chocolate chip oatmeal cookies. It's raining here this morning - what better day to put these morsels in the oven. Hubby is going to love these!
love you gals. so much fun, and many chuckles on my part watching the gentle banter :D Thanks so much for sharing, this recipe looks like the 'bomb diggity!' wow... Merci beaucoup!
Just watched a mashed potato video from 2019 and OMG, you gals look as amazing as you did 4 years ago! What a joy to see you
I think I'll just roll them into balls put them in the fridge and eat them that way. They sounded way too crunchy cause I like a soft cookie. And I have a feeling the vanilla flavor will come through more when they're quote unquote raw
It is important to cook grains or at least sprout them.. there’s something that needs broken down so we get the full spectrum vitamins plus avoid the thing that hinders digestion. Sorry I forget the terms. You can google it. Best wishes!
@@cjt2013haven't oats already been processed if not in groat form?
The “ crunch” sounds yummy!!! ❤
Extra vanilla ... Super extra vanilla! Me too Ann!
Those look amazing!! Also gonna try those spices!!
Yum! Thanks Jane and Ann 🍪
looking forward learning so much from you guys
Happy Thanksgiving from Dubai -- definitely going to give these a go!
These are great! I love everything I’ve made from this cookbook, so far. You guys really knocked it out of the park. Tonight I made the Carrot Mushroom Red Lentil Soup, and it is scrumptious. I did add a little Benson’s Table Tasty. I made it in the Instant Pot and threw 😊 in, including the mushrooms and beet greens. 15 minutes on high with natural release. The only things I added after were the lemon zest, lemon juice and cilantro. I omitted the onion and garlic because I have some gut issues, and it was still absolutely delicious. Thank you!!
Can't wait to try these!!
Will make these with tart cherries or cranberries, not a fan of raisins in baked goods
good idea for healthy snacks while bikepacking..thanks Anne and Jane
Happy to subscribe and support these lovely ladies
Thank you ladies, the cookies look delicious. Bea
Love this 🎉🎉🎉
Just bought you cook book. I really like it!!!. It's going to help me
Looks good. Ive tried using Medjool dates, honey and healthy peanut butter....blended up 😊
😋sound good we will try it
What do you think about using a banana and than less maple syrup. Actually I use date syrup.
Ez nagyon jó ötlet karácsonyra ❤
Mom getting it all!!
Merry 🌲🌲🌲🌲🎄 Christmas!
Love this idea. I'm a cookie for breakfast person!
I just baked your oatmeal-raisin chocolate chip cookies a few days ago from Engine 2 cookbook.
This recipe is next. thank you ladies!
those CC cookies are my go to with craisins and walnuts in place of chocolate
I’ll try walnuts in my next batch. Tyvm for the good idea!
When you put the blade back into the empty food processor and give it a bit of a spin the blade cleans itself off. Then you can scrape it out of the container.
Hello from Somerset in UK
Hello Hello from NW Oregon
Can I use pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds instead of walnuts? Our daughter is allergic to tree nuts.
I'm sure that would work!
Does anyone know what temperature to cook these at? That's the only thing I didn't hear in the video. Thank you!
😮💨Bought ''A Plant-Base Woman Warrior'' thinking it would be spiral bound, instead received a large soft cover version. Oh well, the recipes with a few pages weighed down with weights will have to do. Upside, the recipes are going to be delicious 😋
Enjoy u both😂
What brand of vanilla do you use? Xx
Question? Isn’t maple sugar a processed sugar, since it’s boiled down to one tenth of its original content?
Yes, it is. Craisins also have sugar in them. I wouldn't use either. I'd substitute date sugar or date paste for a sweetener and perhaps ad a banana which also makes it sweeter and substitutes for butter in baked items. I'm not sure, but the chocolate chips may also be problematic.
great reciepe. Chef AJ said to b careful of vanilla as some have alcohol in them. I know good vanilla is expensive. What brand to you use?
A tsp in a whole batch is hardly anything, and if you bake with it the alcohol burns off 🙂Yeah, pure vanilla is super expensive 🙁
thats true . I was just listening to Chef AJ several years ago and was wondering what vanilla people use. Thanks@@Ad-Infinitum
Judy, most vanilla are made with alcohol. I checked ingredients at store. Didn't find any without it
I will have to check with one of those videos I watched with Chef AJ@@katievdbshsh757 . I know real vanilla is expensive the imitation is well for me not so good. Thank u .
Chef AJ found a powdered vanilla brand for baking. Might be expensive though.
I miss something a little sweet after supper
Don’t need cut outs just give me the cookies!
might rename...was watching for them to be like shapes. Just call them oat-walnut circles.
I am hearing that oats are not good for us
Can you share any info on it?
dony walnuts have oil in them??
Just made these tonight and now I am wondering how not to eat all of them 🤣
The one recipe I wish I was rich for the cost of syrup and the burlap and barrel spices.. sigh

Looks good but oats spike my Blood glucose !!
Say no to Teflon and aluminum!
