The Firefly is a bit like the Panzer 4s with the long 75. It might not be the best first choice, but it stays relevant over a wide BR range. You’ll see Fireflies either poking holes in the front of Tiger 1s or puttering around the later halves of battles featuring early Cold War vehicles
The m4a1 76 is an excellent contender as well. But the real heroes of this br are the T14 assault tank, and the a30 avenger (cromwell with 17 pdr). The kv 85 is also fantastic.
I was in love with Firefly once too. But you'll see, when you need her most she will let you down. She cant be counted on when your very life depends on ammo detonation or gunner expiration. And I know what your thinking "they're all like that" but she is the worst by far. At least at 4.7.
The Churchill mk 7 is leagues worse than the firefly. The Chi-To is also worse in my opinion. The firefly is as good as it needs to be and is very balanced at its tier.
Then im lucky ol fury never let me down once when it counted always penned when it was a hail mary shot and always killed when i had my doubts the firefly was always good to me
Only thing I find annoying about this beast is the way solid shot is still dodgy in WT. It's lack of post pen damage at times means you have to spend time trying to take out each crew member or module one by one. Even direct penetrating hits to ammo often do nothing but make it go black. Great if you have a precise knowledge of every other vehicles crew locations, and the WT volumetric system doesn't interfere I guess, but I find it to be very inconsistent in practice (still like it though)
@@MauriLuke I been playing ground forces since the came out. Some guy was telling me that USSR have a higher armor multiplier in the game files. Whether or not that is true idk but if it is I would not be surprised. Snail has shown time and time again they don't care about realistic performance of the ground vehicles or the balance of the games MM or BR ratings. Their metrics to scale a vehicles "combat efficiency " is inefficient and gets worse the more vehicles get added. They are solely based on how well players perform in said vehicle and not the vehicles actual statistics (like armor, firepower and mobility) introducing these paper stats and actually playing their own game would dramatically increase their knowledge of how the game actually functions . However they won't do that so they're actually compromising their own game by using inaccurate statistics for BR placement. A very well known and obvious example is how the m4a3 76mm Sherman sits at 5.7 in RB whilst tigers and panthers sit at 5.3. I could continue on with this but I think anyone with half a brain can understand what I'm getting at. Just don't play UK or USA and you'll have fun. At least in the ww1 to ww2 era of vehicles.

Way back then, Spookston also said that russia has higher health points and more hit points per shell, t34-57s are the evidence for that. To add to what you said, I think the snail sensed that US and UK teamed up together just basically wins the match. Rus and Ger teams are just braindead. Rus = point click win
Wait wait, you mean O-271 I believe? That's HE shells man. Only good for non armor or extremely low armor. I think it legit only has 5 mm of pen. Don't even carry but maybe 2 rounds of it. Useless on anything but open tops and planes.
Dude 17 pounder with APCBC could penetrate 163 mm from 500m. 150 mm at 1000m. In the video the shot just go blank without any dmg from maximum 100 m… And this shit happens in every round.

it's a great tank but if it's the only 11.3 vehicle you have, you'll suffer. Since you are level 36, you definitely will struggle with the stock grind at first, too. Be advised.
@@ZidanBezje that's a matter of opinion. The t80uk and bmp2m are different tanks with different roles and playstyle. Both are also high in BR so if OP is not experienced with high tier games, he'd still struggle no matter which tank he plays.

@@blackice214 this ammo should absolutely go through the mantlet of a t34 everytime. at the range of this shot the AP shell has over 170mm of pen.
