if you keep the queen bee alive, she will keep respawning her guard bees infinitely, so you can keep fighting and racking up exp & AP as much as you want....
@@obscurity3027 At this point i'm working on maxing out materia for the whole party ready for Hard Mode. You can also buy Time Materias from the vending maching outside Shinra Mansion for 5k, Max Level them in 15 - 20 minutes and then sell them for 10k a piece. Great Way to make a Crap Tonne of Gill to buy more Materia, Weapons, ingredients ect....
Great vid. Those are massive exp numbers. I think I found a quicker method for AP using just one mob in eastern Nibelheim using the save/reload method. The mob is in an open area just south of the silo and pipes in between the Chocobo Stop and the route up to the Mt. Nibel Southern Ascent, where you meet the cats. The mob has three Nibel Wolves and a Poison Cap. They give you a total of 30 AP per fight, the highest easy fight I have been able to find outside this run so far. My Materia setup is Fire/Ice-Magnify, Fire-MP Absorb, Fire-HP Absorb, Fire-Magic Focus and First Strike. I use Cloud with the Chocoking’s Cape and the Rune Blade with Full-Power Magic, Magic Attack +20, Attack Power +20, and Stagger Recovery. I think it may be overkill but it gets the job done fast. Even more overkill would be adding Strength Up, Magic Up, Fire-Swiftcast, and ATKMATK materias. I cast two quick magnified basic fire spells which kills all four pretty quickly. With the save and reload, it takes about twenty seconds from reload to reload. That gives about 90 AP per Materia per minute, 60 if it takes a little longer on the button presses. That makes 3600-5400 AP per Materia per hour if you do not stop to change anything out, rest or go shop. I tried this run and the fastest I could get from chapter select to chapter select was 6 minutes. I earned 48 AP on the first mob, 84 on the second, and 228 on the last when I tried to keep the queen alive for as long as possible. That made a total of 420 AP every six minutes. Doing the way above with the save/reload method on the one mob could yield 540 AP per six minutes. I have even been able to get the time down to 15 seconds between loads, so on occasion you could earn a little more than those numbers. Is my math working out? Can anyone test this and verify my numbers?
Thank you for this. I can't verify your math, because I wasn't going for maximum speed, but this mob was the AP winner for me. It's conveniently accessible, easily dispatched, and yields more AP more quickly with less work than anything else I've seen suggested. If you prefer to farm with half your brain on autopilot while watching a show on the side, I definitely recommend becoming the terror of Nibelheim's wolf population over wandering around Gongaga, herding bees, or any method that requires staying alive over a long fight or restarting a quest/chapter to try again. 👍👍
@@salmark9080 The biggest challenge with this method is there are four enemies in the group, so magnify will not hit all four. That is why I use fire twice. If you are having difficulty getting all four with two spell casts, delay the second cast slightly. That should make sure one dies and magnify can track the remaining enemies. I have not tried it with Aerith, but it should work similar, or better, since she is a stronger magic user.
Does this mob stop spawning past a point in the game because I got no encounters in that whole region and I've tried loading and leaving and everything
XP isn't a problem at all. But I need to do some math about AP in this run. Gongaga run gives me around 78 per run without any booster materia. If this method just accepts the quest >> Fast travel to the cat >> Kill those bees >> And immediately quit and make a new chapter select. I think 200+AP per run sounds promising
Wow. Yeah, less than 10 minutes to max my levels. Moved to Gongaga for AP farming because it's more convenient, but damn. Good find. It's actually insane.
Just want to add something some are saying you can restart the battle to infinitely grind ap. Seems only exp carries over. Just wasted an hour. But at least now we know. Also i recommend using Barrett as it's easier to precision target to drag the fight out as much as possible.
@@gamerprince-tl5hgYou shouldn't reset unless you are exclusively attempting to grind exp. AP doesn't carry over. However it is the 3rd fight in the quest if your just going for xp
I don't think it's an oversight, NG+ gives more EXP and AP, and with this being a late game mission the EXP just shot up, though IMO it's not needed I finished the game around 51-52, and was 70 by the end of Chapter 2, I was basically getting a level a fight, to which I proceded to get my arse handed to me by Midgarsormr and went on to Easy to do some clean up.
Great help. What I really need is ap. I am on the last chapter and so I need for every charakter all these material that I mostly didn't ranked up for so much charakters. 12 ap for each bee is great.
In that regard, it’s a very well designed game. You never lose progress on any exp gained or AP which means it easier to grind and much more efficient to grind as well and just overall makes the whole experience more enjoyable, especially when you’re trying to get ready for hard mode
I just figured something out. Normally you keep all ap and exp you gain when you lose but in this sidequest you are losing everything you have gained. Wasted so much time. The unlimited loop is really dangerous when you farm it for hours and then die.
This is nuts, it *has* to be an oversight. I almost feel... guilty? for using it? Is it reasonable to hit Level 70 if you just do a Hard mode run after hitting basically Level 50 with all characters on your first normal mode run? Or does hitting level 70 with everyone require more of a grind? Because if it's a grind then I'll gladly use this farm lol
I would get level 70 first but it does not take that long. By the time you go and get some of the materia/ equipment from endgame you will be nearly 70.

Whaaaat?! WOW!
you can also reload the battle at this point if she stops spawning
@@dedarkshadow Thanks for reminding me this. Can use it when the queen is almost done to reset the battle rather than restarting chapter each time.
Yes, keeping the queen alive is the key. You’ll max out in a single battle.

So, with the new patch, this is one of the few viable infinite AP options available?
Yeah I remember redoing this side quest to max out my bond with Tifa in the post game and was shocked at how I leveled up 9 times during it

How do you save exp progress? Don’t you need to finish the chapter to save it? Or can you immediately jump to another chapter?
The game will tell you that you will lose progress but will retain all experience up to that point.

Do this on chapter 12 not 13 so you get the XP for Cait Sith as well.
Still works!
You can restart a quest once you finish the game? 🤔
Yes. When you go to chapter select (chapter 13) choose hard mode to get the most exp from it and you can choose to reset the quests
