You inspire me to act like a New Yorker when I come to visit. I want to do everything a New Yorker does when there. Thank you for all of the great info.!
😂Thank you do much for bringing back so many memories as travel, Jamaica and the landmarks, neighborhoids, etcand the other Burroughs with you. So much has changed on Supthin Blvd, Jamaoca Avenue and Linden Blvd but i still see some of the bldgs that were there when I lived there, attended school 😢and worked traveling via Q6, 44 buses, E train, etc.. only wish you coukd add some of the main streets, in a footnote when editing, i.e. Linden, Merrick, Rockaway, etc. My family church was Grace Episcopal on Jamaica Ave..I attended PS 160, Shimer Jr High and John Adams... Been a lot of changes since i was there in 2002, but so many memories still strong.. Thamk you again for giving my heart such a lift...im hoping and praying to make one last trip back home to spend time with family, friends and see the old neighborhood and all...by my 83rd...with the Lord's blesding. Please put a note of the main neighborhood area major streets and all if at all possible. Living in any of the burroughs or neighborhood you never forget the streets, food venues, subways or anything about NY, it's Buroughs, neighborhoods, parks, beaches or foods...❤🙏❤️🗽
Hi John, we met on The Highline last week whilst you were filming (English Couple on their Honeymoon). Just wanted to say a huge thank you for your guides and tips. The recommendations we took from your channel made our trip really special. If you're reviewing restaurants again, Mitr Thai near Times Square on W 46th Street is fantastic. Go for the beef short rib or shrimp and squid main dishes. We didnt expect to find such good food in such a touristy spot.
Right now I'm sitting here watching this video and literally salivating. It has been eleven minutes and forty-one seconds and I cannot look at this any longer because I live in California, which feels like a million miles away and I can't just jump on a plane and fly to New York. I have to wait until my stomach is full and then maybe I can watch tomorrow!
Visited the Halal truck on W44th St & 6th Ave me and my 12 year old shared the Tikka and Biryani Rice. Wow so so good. Thanks for the advice. Best thing we’ve had on NYC so far
I feel like I‘m fully equipped to move to nyc thanks to your videos. From food spots to secureness to entertainment. Can’t wait to learn more 😊 Would you make a video on visa‘s & moving from other continents?
Hi at hour 2:26 at the train station , this is a colombian composer and Song writer Lisandro Meza's "si los anhelos se cumplen" " if wishes accomplish" , unfortunately this gentleman passed away on 2 days ago
Good for the guy who did not give it an A. Gray's and Nathan's use the same exact hot dog..Made by Marathon Industries in New Jersey. It is just the size. Gray's uses 10 to one vs 8 to one
For quick and good pizza..and well priced.. Lil Italy on 3rd Ave between 57th and 58th streets. Just before Bloomingdales. The crust is the best! Also Tina’s a few doors away really good too..Cuban food.
Proud to say after watching your vids and coming to Ny again as an adult, Chicago definitely has much cleaner and diverse food options and much less cluttered with sweat and ungloved fingers.
Are all these places including hot dogs and street stands cashless? I'm travelling from Ireland and changing to US Dollars is always a hassle having to change them back losing money in the exchange processes, I rather pay everything with my card
As far as I know the little carts like the hot dog carts are still cash only. Some of the bigger n more popular food carts may take debit now. I understand for the most part NYC prefers to be cashless now but by law businesses cannot refuse cash either. I live in New Jersey about an hour from NYC n haven't actually been up there since late 2021 so it's been awhile n I may not be up to date with my info. However in my personal experience it's always good to have some cash stashed on you while in NYC (Or anywhere when traveling for that matter imo) I usually try to make sure I always have about 100$ in cash on me. I don't necessarily always use it but it's good to have it . Then again I don't have to go through the hassle to exchange it either 🤷😊. Edit: also some places charge a ridiculous fee for using debit so be wary but again my info could be out dated so plz no one attack me if I have some inaccuracies in my reply.
I'm just raised on L&B.. You need to end with a vanilla chip Italian ice or a pistachio. Best pizza I've ever had on my life nothing has ever even come close.
Wait! You can't be a Native New Yorker and a Native of NJ. Go ahead and do a review of restaurants of NJ and be PROUD. There are lots of great NJ restaurants! We need to see the food!!
Love It! Moved to Central N.J. love thats its all of us Brooklyn/Staten Italians. Trust me looking to ooen up a hero shop Central is missing that. Glad Ponte Vecchio is out here same original owner from our Bay Ridge Spot.
Absolute Bagels is AMAZING. Staten Island also has some amazing bagels and competes with absolute bagels. And Staten Island is not one of my favorite borough but some of their bagels stand on business
Coming about of the Tunnel, Limelight, etc etc BEST OF the NYC Nightlife. Memories of the Famous Wo Hop Chinese Breakfast. If the so called real New Yawkers don't know Wo Hop well....
I’ve gotten to the point where it’s not about the food or sight seeing. You don’t need to sell me anything about Manhattan. Coming from Texas where nothing is inclusive. Texas is very judgmental i will take manhattan anytime. 5:19
A person after my own heart! I am originally from NJ, and I grew up eating pork roll. Most people who visit don't even know what it is. I had to make it for my husband when we were dating. And it is so versatile. On a plate with eggs (or pancakes, waffles, etc), in a breakfast sandwich with egg, or as just a sandwich on a bun with cheese for a nice lunch or dinner. I try to pick some up when I visit my mom
Cannot argue NYC Born and Raised Bensonhurst Brooklyn we had the BEST when NYC was what it was until the Yuppies came in. I do my Dogs with Ketchup Mayo to. Grays Graffiti Missioms then to the spit to get the Underground Rap Mixed Taped at Fat Beats. Again us REAL NEW YORKERS! 💪
Yuppies again! Commenting about food us REAL NEW Yonkers grew up to. I definitely got to do a REAL NYC Channel for the LEGITIMATE reviews coming from a real Born and Rasied New Yawker 👌 🇺🇲🇮🇹 from hero places to everything in between. Guy that Bacon Egg and Cheese is a 5/10 at best TRUST Me lol
I prefer Montreal bagels over NYC bagels. NYC bagels are more doughy. You should try a London bagel, to me way better than NYC bagel. Montreal bagel is more like a London bagel but sweeter.
I think that pizza in a box is a hot mess. Silly idea, I definitely would not waste my cash on that. If you brought me one of those I'd feed the raccoons with that crap.
You guys missed the REAL NYC ERA! Really missed out some of the best small delis made the BEST Bacon, Egg, Cheese 1998 2008 for $2.50 yuppies ruined it with Organic and Yuppie Talk.
Whenever anyone says the word 'Bagels' i always get a mental image if that over the top, Jewish stereotype in the movie 'Hercules in New York' with Arnold Swartzaneggar.
I'd pay $17.00 in the morning aslong as it come witha coffee...it be well worth every penny... Hey ,I love dominoes...lmao "Pizza in a box..",has toi be one of the most disgusting, unhealthy food's. Ive ever seen...do not eat that,

Proud to say after watching your vids and coming to Ny again as an adult, Chicago definitely has much cleaner and diverse food options and much less cluttered with sweat and ungloved fingers.

Portnoy doesn’t like pizza, he only likes burnt thin crust with very little sauce and cheese. All others he casts aside. Missing it all.

Coming about of the Tunnel, Limelight, etc etc BEST OF the NYC Nightlife. Memories of the Famous Wo Hop Chinese Breakfast. If the so called real New Yawkers don't know Wo Hop well....
I was at Bear Mountain in NY and couldn’t get food at night in NY. Drove to NJ right across the water and ate at a NJ diner. Great!
It’s time to travel.

Loos sooo goood❤❤❤😋😋😋
What makes birthday cake cream cheese?????
Increíble!
Yes. The correct way to order it is "bacon egg and cheese salt pepper ketchup."
But we say it in one word. BaconEggNCheeseSaltPepperKetchup
No way on the L & B review looking at that square doesn't compare. The Brooklyn Square not Staten Island but Jersey comes very very close.
You really don't ever do pork roll, egg and cheese anywhere in NY?
A person after my own heart! I am originally from NJ, and I grew up eating pork roll. Most people who visit don't even know what it is. I had to make it for my husband when we were dating. No chocolate drinks are " Refreshing ". It's impossible due to the flavor. Refreshing is a cold drink of water on a hot day.
Billy's $2 hotdogs are wayyy better than the main part of the city's $5 dogs ..
Does food taste different when eat with your mouth open ?
