    I would love to get one but...my pomade collection will probably last me until I inevitably go bald

    Good review Boo. I got my hands on the tester, I hope that the hold was upped since then. We have been talking about this one for YEARS!

    I was hoping for Goon Grease Waterbased to be more like a gel-type pomade.. I like Paradox however the hold is kind of low for my thick straight hair however i'll give this one a shot and hope for the best! Nice review Brandon 👍

    An orthodox water based pomade you can apply to dry hair? That sounds awesome actually! With it being an OWB, how quickly do you have to style your hair before it starts to dry and really set in place?
    Happy the endurance is good too. Great review man!

    • @TheWorkmansPomp
      @TheWorkmansPomp  5 років тому +1

      I style it pretty fast because it starts to dry right away. You can use water, as you saw, but dry works better if you hair is in a “normal” state.

    how does this compare to the normal oil based goon grease. I would love to get the oil based one but its not available in germany. So i probably need to get the water based. Is it similar in terms of hold etc?

    • @TheWorkmansPomp
      @TheWorkmansPomp  7 місяців тому

      I mean, it’s a water-based so that is already gonna be a significant difference. The oil is definitely thicker, stronger, and longer lasting endurance wise. When comparing holds, it’s difficult because the hold that you’re going to get from an oil based is going to feel and act much different than a water-based, so really what it comes down to is the type of hold and endurance you’re looking for. This is a decent product that’s water soluble, the unorthodox goon grease is good too.

      @@TheWorkmansPomp Thanks for the quick reply. I‘ll take notes for sure. Do you think this pomade will last long in very thick dense hair?

    • @TheWorkmansPomp
      @TheWorkmansPomp  7 місяців тому

      @vnzstz209 for the water base the endurance may tapper off part way thought the day depending on the heat. Colder weather should be fine

    i have shear revival american gardens so far only used it like a clay put it in my hair when it was fairly dry and as my hairs thick it worked like a clay too, but ive been wanting to try a slick/ shiny side parting style, is it worth me getting this or another product, or should i just try applying american gardens to my hair when its damp and combing it? many thanks from the UK my red white and blue brotha

    • @TheWorkmansPomp
      @TheWorkmansPomp  2 роки тому +1

      You could try mixing something with American gardens to make it slicker!

      Styling damp will make it slicker when styling, but if your using a clay it will eventually dry. I would suggest a slicker unorthodox product like maybe the goon grease unorthodox or something from nostalgic grooming, if you want to keep it easier to wash out
