I love you guys. You always produce an excellent product. You work very hard at your jobs. It's not easy making food look this good. Nice job. Elliot is a dream and Jordan kicked ass.
This restaurant is awesome. One visit is all it takes for you to become like family to the owners. Everyone, regular customers included, are always friendly and welcoming. And all that is before the food starts coming. That will hook you for life. The lasagna is not oversold on WGN. It is the BEST I've ever eaten. EVER. I am a five-year client of Bacchanalia. I own none of it, and I'm not related to the family. I'm just somebody in off the street who loves it there.
Commobe agree. This is nowhere near how real Italian lasagna is. A massive plate of slop is not lasagna. Should layered properly. Not so overly sauced with ten pounds of cheese on it. There are large handful of other Italian restaurants in Chicago I’d go to before going there
I miss this show... the hosts were excellent and the food was always something to see... and eat if you lived in Chicago... maybe one day it will come back...
I'm from Miami and make sure I go to Bacchanalia every time I'm in Chicago. The Chicken or the Shrimp Bacchanalia are the best dishes you'll ever have in your life. The portions are unbelievably large and the way they prepare them are outstanding. It's like a whole chicken on your plate smothered in a delicious garlic cream Vesuvio sauce with large potato wedges, green peppers, and Italian sausages. You won't be able to finish it in one sitting. Google the image of the dish - "Chicken Bacchanalia." It's pure food heaven.
Yes, obviously. Every Italian who lives in Italy doesn't dream of making fucking pasta for a living, some people want to be lawyers, some people want to build stuff, some people want to make burritos.
It's 5:30AM. I have my final exam tomorrow. I haven't studied. I'm feeling hungry. Nothing in the kitchen to eat. So watching this video. Want to study. But can't. Because. I'm feeling hungry! 😥
Black chick...me, from chicago, I lived in ,NY and CA ✋☺️👎 we have the best prodotype of talian food from Italy.....i love Italian food , cuisines, so rich in taste and flavor, Italians are passionate people especially when it comes to there food, they dont play
I mean, the dishes look yummy but they're not at all traditional Italian recipes. This is probably excellent Italian-American cuisine, but I dare you to order lasagna in a restaurant in Bologna expecting to get something like THAT in return: I'm sure you'll be in for a big surprise.
roberto perdio if you want to sell food to americans you have to americanize it, for example if a lot of people in italy buy chinese food they are not getting real chinese food and they don t care about it , testina.
From southern Italy apparently, southern italy makes lasagna with ricotta and tomato sauce, northern italy makes it with bechamel and bolognese. Most American italians immigrated from southern Italy which is why American lasagna is like theirs while most of europe got the northern italian version, because southern italy was poor and northern italy was posh.
British sarcasm can seem like sandpaper to American ears. Perhaps the host should've been informed of the cultural idiosyncrasies beforehand. But to each their own.
I haven't lived near Chicago in about 30 years. But when I did live near there and visited there, Best lasagna I ever had Check, Best Pizza I ever had Check, Best Steak I ever had Check, Best Pork Tenderloin Sandwich and Chicago Style Hot Dog I Ever Had, Check and Check!!! Hahahahahahahaha 😂!!!
Italian tradictional home made food, you'll think you are in a Village in Italy, never seen this kind of food in Italy, and i'm italian, this Is a italian/merican food
Every Italian-American restaurant in the US: we have great traditional Italian dishes.
So you think
Please...this is not italian dishes.....come in Italy and you'll see...un saluto da Carrara
That was the point guys.
Italian-American places put Parmesan where it shouldn’t be.
Bacchanalia proves they’re the best
This looks like a kitchen nightmares kind of restaurant, Gordon Ramsay would make a hilarious episode
the baked lasagna looks ridiculously good. I can't believe there's only one comment here. I'm going to check this place out
lasagna & a can of coca cola ....yummyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
I love you guys. You always produce an excellent product. You work very hard at your jobs. It's not easy making food look this good. Nice job. Elliot is a dream and Jordan kicked ass.
The food in this video made my soul happy.

In Italy, does anyone grow up dreaming of opening up a Chinese or Mexican restaurant?
No we don't
I am Mexican and I dream of opening a Chinese restaurant in Italy
That mix would be awesome :-D
Yes, obviously. Every Italian who lives in Italy doesn't dream of making fucking pasta for a living, some people want to be lawyers, some people want to build stuff, some people want to make burritos.
I’m a Filipino, I also love authentic Italian, Chinese, Indian, Mexican cuisine. I’ll open an Italian restaurant soon.
Those wine glasses would be outrageous in italy, more than the addition of mozzarella in the lasagna itself
Take Italian food, add a ton of fat and welcome to USA!
LOL ! Exactly
Yeah that food in the video is not authentic too much cheese and fat Italien food is light and healthy
thats just chicago. its cold we need the extra calories.

Now that looks Yummy!!!
Love lasagna, pizza and spaghetti. :))
The best Italian Restaurant in Chicago.
One thing when it comes to food, I don’t discriminate. I live in Florida, but the food and women in Chicago look absolutely delicious.
Looking delicious
Love Italy!

Elliot you're funny AF:-). Love your sense of humor. Nerdy but funny AF. Thank you.
You had me at lasagna
Want to have this lasagna and at La Fontanella and decide for myself which is best.
I mean, the dishes look yummy but they're not at all traditional Italian recipes. This is probably excellent Italian-American cuisine, but I dare you to order lasagna in a restaurant in Bologna expecting to get something like THAT in return: I'm sure you'll be in for a big surprise.
Just Americans
It’s already impressive they don’t use ricotta like all americans do tbh...
For this Italian family this is authentic, do you really think every Italian makes food exactly the same as the next guy?
halloween482 authentic for the family =/= authentic italian food
roberto perdio if you want to sell food to americans you have to americanize it, for example if a lot of people in italy buy chinese food they are not getting real chinese food and they don t care about it , testina.
What kind of sauce did he say? It sounded like he said Béchamel the first time, but when I listened a second, it sounded like something else.

The host is very charming and really funny.
Pooping Buffalo hi Elliot
born and raised on italy, that is how you make lasagna. thumbs up
i dont know where putting ricotta in lasagna came from
From southern Italy apparently, southern italy makes lasagna with ricotta and tomato sauce, northern italy makes it with bechamel and bolognese.
Most American italians immigrated from southern Italy which is why American lasagna is like theirs while most of europe got the northern italian version, because southern italy was poor and northern italy was posh.

Bechamel sauce is Discusting flour and butter, ricotta cheese is real , whip eggs into ricotta and its cheesy creamy best
Surprised this host had made it this far he’s so irritating, I’m surprised they don’t go crazy at his rude jokes LOL
British sarcasm can seem like sandpaper to American ears.
Perhaps the host should've been informed of the cultural idiosyncrasies beforehand.
But to each their own.
What’s the sauce they use instead of ricotta? Couldn’t entirely understand the accent.
Bechemel, with parmesan and mozzerella.
Yum. I always make my lasagne with bechamel sauce too.
Don't call it "lasagna" with béchamel.
What the heck? Do they not put ricotta in the baked ziti either? Regardless, it looks delicious.
