I have occasionally had Italian food. Love it. But correct me if I'm wrong, shouldn't the lasagna be pasta interweaved with condiments like meat and veggies and topped off with cheese?
Lasagna is made by making layers of pasta, besciamel sauce(whitesauce) , ragu bolognese and parmesan, i personally make about 5 layers in total and the last one I but mostly white sauce and parmesan so it melts on top and make it look beautiful! But that is the original lasagna bolognese, of course I guess you could call lasagna any kind of layered pasta with fillings..
Give me tons of sweet marinara sauce or meat sauce with that and I am on it! I never saw a lasagna that did not have sauce among the layers but I am open to this method. I love sauce and this keeps it from being absorbed while it is baked. I think I need to make it like this to see what it's like.
