Hot damn! I just got home from the Great Smokey Mountains National Park and now have internet access again. What a treat to have 2 JPF fresh-ies for me to enjoy! Thank you MJ -CY Castor
I’ll have a complete set, (or darn close to it) by next week for sure. I’m buying a collection from someone out of state. As long as one of the No45s is woefully incomplete, it’ll be ok for me to separate the irons from it
Thank you for another very informative video! No, it did not sound like an advertisement, but I wouldn't mind even if it did. I'm learning a lot about combination planes here.
David Heckel wrote the most extensive book on the No45 originally and now Tom Reagor is the defacto No45 expert (thankfully he’s on FB). My intent with these videos is to bring the information to even more tool folks since not everyone is going to buy the book
It’s definitely on the list, I just haven’t made the time to get it together. Gonna have to see if I can get that video made sometime in the next few weeks or so
To the best of my knowledge, it’s out of print. I have one spare copy of it (for sale) and I believe they can still be purchased second-hand on eBay. If you’re interested in the one I have, feel free to email me at jplanefun@gmail.com
Thanks Mike awesome video as usual. Will be watching for the next episode as well. I hope Uncle Tom is going to make a guest appearance in it at some stage 😂😂😂

Glad I could provide some entertainment / education. Hoping to get on some kind of video release schedule soon
And down the rabbit hole I go… thanks for another great video!
I learn something new in every one of your videos. Very interesting and informative.
That No 55 and SW No 45 were beautiful. The No 50, 55, 46 and 47 are on my list of planes to purchase.
We should chat about the 55 when you’re ready
I got my early type 45 yesterday. I NEED VOLUME 2!!
Great video!
Thanks!
Great start. Can’t wait for the rest.
Thanks for watching! Hopefully I can keep the momentum and get the next one out soon
Thanks MJ. Great video! I’m still looking for a set of cutters for my no 45. I need the “notched” type of cutters.

Great info. I'm always interested in the history of everything
Now I just need to get going on the next one
I’d love to see the 55.
I’ll definitely get a video put together on the No55 but it won’t be until I get this no45 series done
Great history lesson, thank you
Now I just gotta get my act together and get that second volume going!

Great video man! What ever happened to the 45 type study.... Vol2? :)

Interesting history lesson , thanks 👍
I hope to do some more history stuff soon
Is the David Heckel book about the Stanley 45 available, or in print?

We’ll have to see what we can work out. He definitely has a lot more complete No45s of all the varying types than I’ll ever have access to
He sure does and he is really helpful with the types
When's part two coming?
Someday…
Way coooool.
I appreciate you watching!
