If you'd really like to know RBG (Redbeards Garage) has a dyno video on each engine. The price per hp you get with each engine I'll pass on the ghost engine. The performance kit is also way over priced in most opinion, except the ones who don't know.
Now you can only race in "ghost " series . just put the regular hemi on there and buy a carb and exhaust.
I just watched a video where a guy took this exact engine and put a billet rod and piston in there, removed the governor and now spins that thing to 8,000 rpm.

I love Harbor Freight because they sell the cheapest tools imaginable and then they sell these too
Definitely not the cheapest. They carry other brands that is pretty good stuff
Lmao Ghost costs $500 with kit. Bought my predator 212 on sale for $89 4years ago, did a governor/oil sensor delete, $120 billet flywheel, $25 billet piston, $25 flattop piston, $50 hot265 camshaft, $40 exhaust, $12 pulse pump, $15 22lbs valve springs, and a $35 stage 1 kit. Out runs my buddy's Ghost by 5-10 mph for less money and better quality parts.
I don’t get why people use such small n shitty engines with those shitty centrifugal clutches n cvt’s. I mean you could just buy a broken 1000cc bike with a running engine, get the engine n electronics, build a shifter n clutch paddle n have way more fun n it would probably cost same or even less since old broken 1000cc bikes are damn cheap. Like you’d have so much more power n torque and by being able to shift you can always get to best gear ratio n even get a good start with having the clutch.
@@crusadebirb4084 more weight, way more complicated, most tracks won't let you run, plus 1000cc would be way too much for small fast turns
@DP enduro idk if a two stroke would be so ideal in Go karts, since ya need torque for getting out of corners which a two stroke doesn’t really have, but then again it’s maybe enough cc for a go kart.

@harborfreight please hear me when I say this: make a rule set similar to the LO206 and tamper seal the side cover on these engines how the lo206 engines are, and you'll see a lot more of these engines sell.

How much power does it make? I’ve read in some place that it makes 12hp and then somewhere else that it’s the same 6.6hp they don’t give a clear answer

Lemme tell yu from building these to billet kits stage 5 to just regular Stage 1 like this you could’ve bought the 212 for same everything and bought a billet kit for the same price cuz the 212 is 110 right now the kit is 200$ and what yu spent on just that was 600$ 😂

Like 250 ish for the engine, another 100ish for the support kit. Pipe, clutch and stuff i think. Cart is not available. If you just want reliability, get the 224 max, its super strong

How good is low end torque off the line? I know it's not a clutched two stroke, but I'm looking for an upgrade to my Honda gy160
Just build up the honda. Unless you're in a kart league you will be wasting money. They made this engine for class racing where all the engines have to be the same. For the cost of this engine you can build up a stage 4, 212cc and smoke anyone with this engine

These engines are so underpowered, slow and weak compared to just about any other engine out there. I would take the rotax 122 or just a simple yamaha 100cc 2 stroke over that junk any day.
