@@mjlives5428 that is a good point, that used to happen all the time when online high stakes was more of a thing in America - these big stream games are replacing those
Even though it's almost impossible to fold a full house, it's a pretty easy fold on that board considering any king has one.. he was unlucky but with the paired board he could have easily saved the 250k and following tilt.
Peter’s flop raise makes a K highly likely. You groan and fold there. The issue is Dan played it trappy to keep bluffs in, so he is somewhat committed to the river bluff catch. If Dan leads the turn and gets called, the river fold is easier.
What if Peter was raising on a flush draw? Then he hits a flush and bets on river. Also this is Peter we're talking about. He bluffs and value owns himself often.
@@rbaddict2947 betting 250k on that board is crazy even with a flush because the board is double paired, meaning if he has a flush dan is more likely to have a K, so he would probably just check back on that scary board to not value own himself or get trapped. Also, let's not forget there was already almost 500k in the pot. From what I've seen, Peter is a decent player, he gambles a lot in lower stakes, hero calls a bit and puts in a crazy bluff here and there. But at these stakes he played almost perfectly and never made a huge bluff. Ofc he was extremely lucky but still made the most out of it and extracted a lot of value, especially from Dwan.
@@joaoalegria7578 Ok, agree w/ your analysis if it applies to lower stake (5-10 and below) but higher stake, players tend to use conventional wisdom against good solid players. So if I'm Peter, I know Dan Knows that King is very dangerous card, and Dan may lay down a 4 (lower full house) if it's a big bet such as 250K...so even if I'm Peter and have complete air, I can win with a big bet and not have the King. And the same applies to having a flush. He may have thought that Dan just had a high pocket pair so at first he's semi bluffing, then on river he's full on bluffing. He turns his draw into a bluff even after making his hand. You know how many times I've seen good players throw away a "4" for the lower full house in that situation?? Happens a lot. And Ive seen them sometimes lay down the middle full house (pocket 7's) also just because their opponent having a King when making a big bet is so likely. So what I'm saying is Dan may be thinking that Peter is thinking that (and he thinks it all might be a bluff of some sort even if it started as a draw for Peter), so there's an additional level where Dan knows that Peter's bet could be air based on what I just wrote above. Sorry, for the long explanation but that's what I think happened. I think Dan thought too deeply. Sometimes it works, sometimes its over thinking
@@joaoalegria7578 Read my first reply. Also want to point out if you're in Dan's shoes, K7 is sooo unlikely due to odds, and AK is also unlikely since most would 4 bet pre-flop after getting 3-betted by a loose player like Dan. If you're Dan, you know people aren't gonna respect you as much. So that's the foundation for how I'm guessing it leads to this "over thinking" by Dan..... Dan was prob thinking Peter either has King or its a Bluff (bluff's can include heart draw that got there....just cuz its a hand that got there doesnt mean it's not a bluf...we've all seen people turn their pocket Aces into a bluff on a scary board in these high-limit games). And I disagree that advanced super high limit players like Peter (who's bankroll is enormous and can make massive bluffs) would not bet a flush that got there but was weak due to a double-paired board where full houses become more likely. Again, I agree most mid-level players might semi-bluff on flop/turn but would NOT bet on river with this board after hitting their flush. Peter is different and Dan knows that. That's why Poker is so complex! Shit I got way too much time on my hands

Think about ALL the players that used to play on HCL regularly but no longer play on the livestream. It has to be at least a couple dozen players. There is no way that all of these players are busto. Makes you wonder why so many no longer play on the stream...
Peter made like 6 Full Houses that weekend and cleaned up. @ 7:53, Dan DOES NOT have 7-high, he's got the bottom end of a jack-high straight. His bet isn't a bluff, its for value.
Calling 250k when that King hit the river was inexusable. Could have easily gotten away there. There was only one card he did not want to see. It came, and he still called.
Wait, hold on a second. If you were in that situation, you probably would have called too given how much money was in there and the odds of the other person having the winning hand. Even if you were the 1% that would have folded, 99% of people would have called
After any bad beats or coolers, it is best to walk away for 15 minutes to let the emotions run its course away from the table. Return with a clear head and refocus.
It's never bad to take a shot and miss if can live with it. Problem starts where you take more shots you can't afford. I hope he does the logical thing, move down stakes, get better, grind back and take another one if he feels like it.
6:30 All the players should be able to read Peter like a book by now. If he is acting normal like here he is bluffing.... if he is hamming it up he has it.
I think when the Board hits he could jam all in. If Peter has a K with good kicker I think he is calling. Peter is Known to over call in spots and I think this is one of them.
I've read a few books on the lives of various poker greats (and BJ card counters) from the past. Quite a large number ended up as little more than degenerate gamblers at heart. Once they were exposed to enough unbelievably crazy drawouts/streaks that defied "the maths", they settled into that role. Others are just born degens that get an absurdly nice run of positive variance at the start of their careers.
Unless you have sponsors and endorsements like Daniel Negreanu/ Phil Helmuth etc writing books and paid just to show up and wear a logo on your shirt.. Tournaments and hotels paid etc... Think about ALL the players that used to play on HCL regularly but no longer play on the livestream. It has to be at least a couple dozen players. There is no way that all of these players are busto. Makes you wonder why so many no longer play on the stream...
Losing to someone like Peter is so brutal
Especially since he plays like an absolute fucking moronic whale hitting one outers left and right
The guy in the middle says.. “uh oh, looks like we got a battle brewing here! “
That down chart is the ultimate needle.
He is fine. His actions have to be staked. No way anyone just pops out like Dan did and went on that crazy up and down.
He was my favourite player at hustler🔥 i hope he comes back soon🤞
Peter made like 6 Full Houses that weekend and cleaned up.
@ 7:53, Dan DOES NOT have 7-high, he's got the bottom end of a jack-high straight. His bet isn't a bluff, its for value.
It is what it is. :D
Calling 250k when that King hit the river was inexusable. Could have easily gotten away there. There was only one card he did not want to see. It came, and he still called.
well aren't you special with perfect information.
Wait, hold on a second. If you were in that situation, you probably would have called too given how much money was in there and the odds of the other person having the winning hand. Even if you were the 1% that would have folded, 99% of people would have called
Its only $250,000
@JakeAkstins Very much depends on the player and the game, in the 2-5 games I play that's a K and only a K 99% of the time
@@LukeLastname103 that has no bearing on how Peter plays though
Dan Harrington looks great for his age WOW!!
Korean Daniel is one of the best poker player from Toronto, I believe he will be back one day.
You said he had 7 high when he had low straight.
Texas mark is also broke he hasn’t play for 4 months poor guy💥
Nor Texas Mike , not seen either of them for 4 months ….
@@martinworld7214 thats what the comment u were replying to literally said bro.
@@marce4241 his name is Texas Mike not Mark - keep up fella
@@martinworld7214 My bad lol, maybe they should get more original nicknames
@@marce4241 haha no drana :)
Peter crushed this game and left lol
Calling 250K with 77 in K447K so crazy any K beats you
I had to make this exact fold 2 days ago, exact same situation, I had 77 just like dan but it was Js instead of Ks. He had kj
After any bad beats or coolers, it is best to walk away for 15 minutes to let the emotions run its course away from the table. Return with a clear head and refocus.
The good news here is Dwan turning his luck .
7:50 he didn't had 7 high, he had a straight
When was this poker game played?
I remember seeing those hands, it seems he was just punting without any plans.
Made the min when he has the best with A9
Did you get any hand or draw right? An open ender is a gut shot for you, a straight is 7 high, amazing😂
It's never bad to take a shot and miss if can live with it. Problem starts where you take more shots you can't afford. I hope he does the logical thing, move down stakes, get better, grind back and take another one if he feels like it.
Action Dan wearing that gallery dept hoodie
Action dan ❌ Door Dash Dan ✅
Finally someone with more loses than me, yaaah man ! 😆
6:30 All the players should be able to read Peter like a book by now. If he is acting normal like here he is bluffing.... if he is hamming it up he has it.
Steve is the guy that brags that he the president of his HOA
The master of jealousy, 90% of concent is jealousy. 😊
Where does Action Dan's fund come from?
That’s poker ! Just bad luck !
You gotta know when to fold em in hold em.
I think when the Board hits he could jam all in. If Peter has a K with good kicker I think he is calling. Peter is Known to over call in spots and I think this is one of them.
Does every poker player just eventually go broke? Lol
If it came down to just gambling and none of that other stuff included, I bet 1% would make it for a living, covering all their expenses just through gambling earnings
@@michaellester1775those odds are close. A very small percent of players are actually winning players. Even pros they just get a good win and use sponsors and bankroll management to keep their chips on the table.
Facts@@michaellester1775
@@michaellester1775 Guys come on !
I'm a pro that started 2 years ago at 5 NL.
I had a small income stream in the beginning (welfare), and I had to support myself almost completly this whole time (I live in Italy).
Now I play mostly 50 NL to 200 NL online and 1-2 to 5/10/20/40 even LIVE (crazy I know).
I'll tell you something right now I took some shots that were highly aggressive, ex: in that 5/10/20/40 game I bought in for 1800 early in the night when the game was smaller (at that point I had a bankroll of 25 000) so worst case scenario I would have lost 1800 to 4000, and also I played a low variance style, LITERALLY taking into consideration long term repercussions in single hand decisions.
Whoever is dumb enough to put his whole bankroll on the table and have this IDIOTIC bankroll management WAS NEVER A PRO no matter what he ever sais, he was just a lucky amateur.
True pros have exceptional risk and bankroll management , and live long and well.
If a "lack of success" comes IT HAS TO BE MANAGED !
Get well soon Dan. Beware of denis the menace ♠️
Dan playing aggressive desperation bets
Been there done that stupid play and calls 😂
Lol again with the "Tom Juwan"
Idk bro lol I prob have a speech impediment I’ll get help haha
I’d rather lose to Brittany than Peter.
its peters money either way
just a good player Dan played against godblessed player Peter.
Dan plays well, the A high Hands Hero Call definitely knocked out the luck light, Dan just didn’t remember Winners Tilt.. And his bluffs are too thin in spots he has very little idea where he’s at,(or mis-analysis)
9944 on board holding 88 with $90K. Wow
Are those chips or real dollar?
Wasn't this game from a couple of months ago?
Gotta say QJ checks back turn at least sometimes and makes a lot of sense for Dwan to have here. Gotta fire the clip.
There is a lot of players that have gone mia.
Blank check Ben
Double M
Mikki! JRB…. JR… Reza…. Krish!
Both Action Dan and Texas Mike got taken to the cleaners. Hard to play against players with a lot cash and experience.
I played with dan last night at $1/2 blinds at commerce buy in $80
7:19 Dan has an open ended straight draw, not a double gutshot...
7:50 Dan doesn't have 7 high... he has a jack high straight...
good breakdown
Love watching Dan on HCL, but one day he just magically disappeared after the huge loss in the milli game. Hope he returns soon but I have a feeling that’s not likely 😔
Anything can happen in this game........don't think it won't ever happen to the rest of those guys at the table.
He is playing with the top players at the highest stakes... it's either him or them. Can you imagine nosebleed stakes and playing like him?
The K7 vs 77 wasn't ugly but was just a horrible cooler.
Peters 44 call 😂😂
Why Texas Mike wearing a volunteers hat?
hopefully his bankroll management can stomach the heavy losses.
7:54 - 7 high?? The ten gave him the straight on the river
Peter is not good. Soon he's going bankrupt 😂
