As I'm japanese, I used to enjoy with this model in local instrument store when it's on sale. This model DDD1 and DDD5 came with super cool demo track made by KORG. That track was made using the maximum potential and capability of both models with sample sound and chop bass sound... However, I've never founded that demo track here in youtube. The problem was that the demo track was delietable for get free space in their inside memory. So the owners delieted that track.. I'l keep looking for it.
@@StephanesCreativeBasement Thank you very much. I actually have a real DDD1, but after internal battery died, I lost all the data including some of the original factory presets that i kept on the machine.. That's the reason to look for the factory data tape. Nice to meet old stuff users..;-)
How do you get it to sound so fat and punchy? Especially the kick? I don't have the machine but I have lots of high quality samples from it. I have experimented with compression, EQ, saturation and reverb but still it doesn't sound as good as this intro!
Hi ! Thanks ! It was pitched down a little (on cassette tape) and I used gated reverb (cheap Behringer reverb pedal) when I was recording. Thank you for watching !

To sample, you need to install a special sampling board in the back of the DDD-1. It was rare and expensive at the time. I had one!
Just watched a interview with legendary RnB producer teddy Riley. He said he made a lot of hits with this. A lot of Keith Sweat songs.
Yeah. This one is very underrated.
Public Enemies producer Hank Shocklee also used it on there 1st album.
Elle sonne du tonnerre cette petite boîte à rythme !
Great video!
Awesome does this have individual outputs?
Aaron Baird yes - 6 !
@@StephanesCreativeBasement Awesome it's a very nice looking drum machine!!!
the trig out is really useful too. I use it to trig my arp on the Korg poly 61
I'm looking for factory data tape.. Could you record it and send here?

I only used it with the factory sound so far. If I come across a good deal, I’ll try other bank sound for sure !
