Another legality that got lost, & contributed to US media going downhill, is that the budget department & the media department of big TV outlets, had to be separate. When that got ditched, profits & advertisers reigned supreme, & violence & sensationalism has higher ratings. I am grateful for independent news outlets online.
Ugh. This guy is way too politically correct for me. 🙄 I simply roll my eyes at the attempt to validate the actions of terrorists in any way. The Hamas charter literally calls for the destruction of Israel. As the saying goes, “When people tell you who they are… believe them.” This isn’t a fight over land… it’s a complete clash of ideologies. Westerners who try to rationalize an irrational hate are either willfully ignorant or utterly deceptive. The “Palestinians” don’t want a Palestinian state. They have rejected the offer repeatedly. They simply want Israel to be wiped off the map. That’s what “from the river to the sea” means.
Great conversation, but there is a clear lack of understanding the religious motivations. Attempting to frame the actions of Hamas on Oct 7 through a western geopolitical framework, without at all considering religious motivations, is missing the most crucial context. There are scriptures after scriptures in the Quran and Hadiths encouraging the killing of Jews, and tying it to the coming of their messiah. Geopolitical revolutionaries have a tendency to want to stay alive in order to establish the new order. Jihadists are trained to aspire towards death and martyrdom, taking out as many infidel enemies as possible with them. Very intellectually lazy to ignore this aspect.
Acts 7:433 KJV Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon Amos 5:26 KJVBut ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves
This crisis will only be solved by giving palestinan their state with East Jerusalem being their capital and live in peace side by side. Its funny how Bibi keeps saying we feel threaten by Palestine state and not by Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and Egypt.
And 7th of october prove him right. Israel is in relative peace with the states you mentioned. Palastines literally educate their children for killing of israel. In their current state they are the most dangerous.( And also iran which you didn't mention)

Sadly, the west is not ready to criticize the religious reasons. Beware of being called bigot for that
