Nicely done James! Watched this cause i used to "smoke" meats and now bought an air fryer and need to try this, so thx for the vid! My own marinade is water, worcestershire, salt, brown sugar, and spices. Gonna try your marinade cause simple is easy and easy is fast! Only thing i'll change is skip the oil and add a little worcestershire. I marinade all my steaks 24hrs with it and Montreal. If you've never "Reverse Seared" steaks, you most definetely need to!🤪🥩
You have awesome marinade ingredients. You might want to buy some liquid smoke to try.. or not, totally up to you. Ketchup in marinade is surprisingly good too
@@thunderwoman1 thanks, ya i always have some liquid smoke for burger patties and definitely would use it in any kind of dehydrator or air fryer. Think your ketchup trick works because of the vinegar. I marinade chicken in 1/3 pickle juice out of the jar and 2/3 Sweet Baby Rays! Never had more juicy grilled chicken quarters i swear!!
OK, a couple years old but still a great learning tool. The Marinade was a bit light but it was fast and easy. Easy is good! What I learned was, I have the same Air Fryer, I thought I had a third rack, made me look and there it was! I make a lot of chicken in mine so removed one of the racks, forgot about it so found it on top of the refrigerator. I looked at the quick chart and didn't see the lemmon, I could only get my fryer down to 150, I wanted 140. Not a big deal. I wanted to set the time for two hours but could only get it set for one hour. My bad but this got me straightened out. Thank you much. I just made a batch and it is fantastic! my smoker is now retired!
You ever made chicken jerky? It is fantastic too. I only use chicken breast for mine. The marinade is different for chicken jerky than it is for beef jerky
Looks fantastic, the only thing you might want to do for the not so smart is, when putting meat in the ziplock do not put it on the same cutting board you had raw meat on, cross contamination if you just throw it in the fridge, 😉
@@CookinWithJames I used really thin cut tri tip marinade it for like 30 hrs came out really good but i think round would be a little more tender. I was happy with it though. Thanks for asking.
You should NOT tell anyone how to cook their recipes. Using oil is perfectly fine. I use oil in my marinade and the end result is great. Maybe stick to doing the dishes

@@CookinWithJames 👌
Thanks for your video! I'm going to try this with coriander and vinegar to create a biltong-ish flavor.
Sound good. Let me know how it goes
I will try this in my Emeryll Lagasee 360 air fryer and let you know!🤗
How did it go?
Good looking jerky James! I love doing it, it’s cheaper, better and a lot of different possibilities for marinade. Cheers brother!
yo yo!! thanks brother like always i appreciate you!!
Very good 👍 jerky
Thank you for your video 😊
You're welcome
I have the same air fryer ,you can reduce time half if you cut meat realy thin
Great job! Making some tomorrow.
You will like it. Thanks
First I've ever heard of adding oil to jerkey

Going to make some tomorrow. Thanks.

Ya it was all washed. But I agree! Thanks
Nice. Funny thing is infilmed the marinade part of making jerky today, finishing up tomorrow :)
Jerky is awesome!! im sure it turned out great!! Thanks bro!
That looks delicious. I love jerky. I’ve got to try this, but first I need to buy that air fryer.
Thanks! this air fryer is a very good investment!! the best out there!!
That looks awesome definitely going try. Thanks
Super good. How did it turn out
@@CookinWithJames have not tried it yet going to try this weekend. Thanks
How did it do?
@@CookinWithJames I used really thin cut tri tip marinade it for like 30 hrs came out really good but i think round would be a little more tender. I was happy with it though. Thanks for asking.
Ya round would be better. Not as much fat. Never tried tri tip for jerky. I’m sure it was good!
Sad that my air fryer only has the one basket, would take forever to make that much.
Get some splatter screens, and cut them to fit. Don’t forget to make a small lip on the edges. Hope that helps. Try dollar tree
Looks good to me. 👍
Really good
Is there any chance the oil will go rancid? Would using only water work? It looks terrific.
Ya if you have fat in the meat it can go rancid after a while but i eat it to fast lol. U can make a lot and vacuum seal it. Happy holidays
this looks good, James
Thanks brother!! much appreciated!
You should NOT use any oil in your marinade cuz it makes the jerky not store properly. Oil is bad when making jerky

Have you ever done bacon jerky?
I have not but would like to try! Happy new year!
Who knew you can make jerky in an air fryer
It is sooo good!! you should try it!! Thanks!
