Thank you for this, mine is in the air fryer now. My marinade: Brown sugar, McDonald’s BBQ sauce McDonald’s sweet & sour sauce Cajun seasoning Paprika Soy sauce
I met my 'new' grandsons, 9 and 12, for the first time last weekend, and we prepared this together. Took no time at all, and they absolutely devoured it !
This is the first of your videos I have watched. You are just so nice! I am subbing! My husband and I have been carnivore since May 2024 and are looking for simple meat recipes. Thank you!
Wow, yes this works. I was about to buy a dehydrator to make jerky when I found this vid. Just tried it in my Cosori airfyer. Ordered the wire racks of amazon and they worked great. This is an absolute breeze. My Cosori doesn't have a dehydrate setting but it does have a "Keep Warm" setting - 175 for 30 mins. I can turn that up to an hour, but my AF doesn't let you go more than that. Just have to reset it every hour for 3. Worked great with a dry rub. Going to try it with marinated strips tomorrow. Thanks for the vid!
Thanks you just ruined my day, well my tomorrow day. I’ve been staring and side glancing that dehydrator setting on my Ninja dual doohickey for months since we acquired it and my son in law just dropped off some deer meat this afternoon, so now after watching this video all my plans for tomorrow are out the window. 😢
I made my first batch of jerky ever on my traeger this past Saturday. Loved the smoky flavor it had. I’ll be doing it more often and I am excited to experiment with flavors!
First time coming across this channel and just by one video i fell in love, certainly like the calmness and wholesome feel of this whole video, gonna try this jerky recipe soon. Good job Ry!
You've got my creative juices flowing with this video. I've got some top round and some Trader Joe's chili lime dry spice sounds like it will fit the bill perfectly. Freezer broke over the weekend and trying to use up what we can in the old freezer so we don't haven to trash everything before new one delivered tomorrow. Appreciate the detailed instructions, newbie to dehydration/making jerky
Thank you so much for this video. Not only was it informative and looked incredible but you muted while you chewed. My husband has misophonia and you earned an immediate follow for that. ❤️
Freezing the beef a bit beforehand is such a good idea, I've only tried homemade jerky a few times, but it was always a pain cutting the beef nicely. I might just have to give this a go! I have an instant pot that I believe has a dehydrate function!
Im am from europe and in my familiy we use pig meat and we make mixture of water and salt so an egg keeps floating on it then soak the fresh meat for 24h then make new mixture and another 24 in cool room, after that we dry the whole piece of meat and after 2 weeks in a smoker its done and you cut it like ham, thin delicious and just wooow
I use a Nesco American Harvest for this job but, my interest has now been peaked. I have a Ninja Dual Zone with this feature that I've been curious about trying. Great video.
Been wanting to invest in an air fryer and dehydrator for quite some time now, nice to know that you can get an air fryer with the dehydrate setting on it. I'm a huge fan of Korean BBQ, anyway you could do a Korean BBQ Beef Jerky or any Korean BBQ recipe out there?
I stumbled across this video and was delighted to see we had the same air fryer. I just ordered the racks, thanks for the link and I'm gonna be a jerky makin' fool!
wow, thank you for introducing this, just checked my breville and yes it has the dehydrate feature, not a jerky fan but wife loves it, definitely giving this a tryout
Another great video, Ry! Thank you. I definitely want to give this a shot. I've only done jerky in the pellet grill (which always has been amazing) but this will be nice to try.
I actually FOUND a commercial meat slicer in the cupboards (didn't know it was there-- I live in my folks old place and I'm always finding things didn't know were here!!).. I want to try this.
Since I got my air fryer I wonder why there isn't one of them in every single kitchen the same way as there is a microwave in every single kitchen, I have never used any other thing, not the oven, stove, burners...
Great video Ry. Never hurts to have another take on Beef Jerky! I'm just wondering if you had to spray those racks and if they cleaned up easily? Quite often my smoker ones take a bit to clean up even after I sprayed them.
Thanks that was very helpful. I'm from WV and deer jerky was the best in the season . I live in a big city now can't hunt but I got my grubby hands on some venison and your video helped. The whole family loves it . I did some peppered and and some smoked and some teriyaki. It's all amazing. My airfare looks just like the one in the video. It times out at 120 minutes so I just keep turning it back on. Deer jerky is amazing maybe share some recipes if you want I'll try it. And like and subscribe 😋👍👍👍👍
I don't see why it wouldn't work those old stacking plastic electric dehydrators back in the day blew air up from the bottom and an air fryer pulls the air up from the bottom good idea
I did a quick test with my killawatt electric meter and my chefman air fryer's dehydrate setting (at 165⁰F) uses 129 watts/hour. Which comes out to a mere 14¢ after 3 hours. It's still a considerable amount of savings bc store bought jerky cost anywhere between $12~23/lbs and raw beef is around $6~8/lbs. If you factor in the cost of buying the air fryer, you'd break even after making anywhere from 5~20 batches.
This air fryer is a game changer. no greasy mess, easy to clean, and cooks anything fast.
Try marinaded pork tenderloin in an air fryer. With the right settings it's even better than grilled. As an apartment dweller, this was huge for me 😀
Made raw chicken jerky in it. Delicious
I mess around on my free time and make treats for me and my dogs.
Air fryer is a blessing
Money well spent.
I want to cook for my dogs too not sure if my air fryer would work
Thank you for this, mine is in the air fryer now. My marinade:
Brown sugar,
McDonald’s BBQ sauce
McDonald’s sweet & sour sauce
Cajun seasoning
Paprika
Soy sauce

Hey that's awesome. As a stepchild I love this
9 and 12, strange names
That's actually a great idea if they are doing like a sleepover at grandmas cuz they can wake up to the finished process:)
@@SB-wu9mk is also strange name . Let me guess, you have a rainbow tattoo.

Check if you have a "dry" setting. This is the same as dehydrate.
The air dryer?
How was the marinated version?
Tried this recipe before, turned out right. One of the best Beef Jerky ever had. Homemade, from the oven.
YoI’m can make it with the air fry setting? I don’t have a dehydrator setting
how did it go
well come on what was the results ?
I made my first batch of jerky ever on my traeger this past Saturday. Loved the smoky flavor it had. I’ll be doing it more often and I am excited to experiment with flavors!
Traeger jerky comes out great I always make some for camping
First time coming across this channel and just by one video i fell in love, certainly like the calmness and wholesome feel of this whole video, gonna try this jerky recipe soon. Good job Ry!
YES-- Iv'e been waiting for this.... since I got my Air Fryer-- wanting to find one of these vids.. THANKS..
Thanks for the easy to follow recipe! Making this next week for some xmas gifts 😊

I will try to make it on my air fryer
Thank you for your video 😊
I have an air fryer in my office at work and you best believe im doing this weekly now
The vegetarians are going to be screening at HR
Awesome video well done. Trying mine now! Wish me luck!
Thank you so much for this video. Not only was it informative and looked incredible but you muted while you chewed. My husband has misophonia and you earned an immediate follow for that. ❤️
You cannot go wrong with beef jerky as a snack. That beef jerky looks great. Cheers, Ry! 👍👍✌️
Thanks!
Welp. I know what I'm doing this weekend. Thank you for sharing......it looks delicious!!
Guess I know what I’m doing tomorrow! Looks delicious.
Just got some fresh venison this season. Thanks for the tips and tricks! I will try tomorrow! Nice video!

Great, I will try that. I from Europa to.
My neighbor uses an oven to make beek jerky just like this, and it is SUPER GOOD.
Ry, what mic do you use?
It sounds so crisp and clear! Any settings/preamps/etc. you'd recommend with it?
Hi! I use the Rode Wireless Go II and I usually set the gain to -21 db 😊
I use a Nesco American Harvest for this job but, my interest has now been peaked. I have a Ninja Dual Zone with this feature that I've been curious about trying. Great video.
What if i dont have any type of racks cant i still do it directly on the air fryer basket just maybe flip them once or so?
same... I guess we do flip them?
@@brockly7916 I didn't but do pat them down with paper towels
Wow looks amazing. Try South African biltong, no oven needed.
Putting the beef in the freezer pre cutting is the most simple yet smartest move I saw for a long time.
My move now.
Wow. Who would have guessed that you can make jerky in an air fryer. Thanks.
remember not all air fryers have 'dehydrater' setting.

Nice! We have that exact model air fryer and I want to try this now. Thanks
Definitely looks like some good jerky
Well done! Thanks for the video!

Wonder if you can add liquid smoke to this?
I’ve done that with other jerky so I would imagine a small amount would work.
I have done it like 4 times its comes out good
wow, thank you for introducing this, just checked my breville and yes it has the dehydrate feature, not a jerky fan but wife loves it, definitely giving this a tryout

Just saw the dehydration feature on my birthday gift. Your video popped up first. Great presentation by the way.
Just subscribed. Thanks for the great content.
Going to try and make a biltong-like jerky this way. Love making classic biltong, but hate waiting days for it to air cure.
What is the wattage draw on this model?
Could you send me a link to those wire baskets you used in the air fryer
They should be listed in the video description.
What luck, I have the same exact air frier. I will be making this recipe for sure. Now I want to do some experimenting...
Could this get the jerky dry enough to do pemican, or would we need to do the research for the longer shelf life?
I actually FOUND a commercial meat slicer in the cupboards (didn't know it was there-- I live in my folks old place and I'm always finding things didn't know were here!!).. I want to try this.
This was relaxing to watch..
Since I got my air fryer I wonder why there isn't one of them in every single kitchen the same way as there is a microwave in every single kitchen, I have never used any other thing, not the oven, stove, burners...
good idea i have a foodie ninja , I wonder if you could get the energy used in comparison to the oven.
can someone help me if it works with bacon but on a flat or ? also how do I make maple honey seasoning?
What if the minimum temperature is 80°c ?
Great video Ry. Never hurts to have another take on Beef Jerky! I'm just wondering if you had to spray those racks and if they cleaned up easily? Quite often my smoker ones take a bit to clean up even after I sprayed them.
They cleaned up pretty well. We'll have to see how they do after repeated uses :)
Are air fryers designed to run that long per session? that seems like a really long time to have something like that running.
Can you make jerky from precooked meat?
whats the size of your stackable rack?
Your voice made me think I was watching a Binging with Babish video 😂
oh yes so trying this in my airfryer :)
Thank you for sharing 👌
Ry how are you and the family doing in California with the storms.
Doing fine. Just a lot of rain 👍
Super video. Hi from Denmark
Hello!
Thank you man! Youre awsome
Thanks for the video!
Love me some beef jerky.
Amazing video
Love your vibe
What is in the dry rub seasoning you are using ? Can you drop a link or ingredients? Thank you

I use a dehydrator because it makes more jeky than I could using an air fryer. To each his own. 😮
Hi - great video! Yum! Can you please tell me what is your background music that is playing? Love it!
Hi! It's from a commercial music licensing service. Can't recall the title.
Awesome!
My air fryer does not have Dehydrate setting
You pay LGR guy to voice over these. Dont lie.
Yes, I pay him to perfectly match my voice when I’m on camera 😂
I don't see why it wouldn't work those old stacking plastic electric dehydrators back in the day blew air up from the bottom and an air fryer pulls the air up from the bottom good idea
to bad my airfryer doesn't have that dehydrate option. even if 3 hours of electric for it sounds a bit expensive i would have tried it at least

are u not going to cook it??
If you look at 6:40 you would notice he temps the fryer to 160F
@@TheRogueSniper300 will 71 c enough to cook it through ?
@@castiron_altroZfor 6 hours ? It’s also dehydrating it so I’d assume anything dangerous in it would be dead with all the water sucked out of them.
Nice video relaxing music 👍👍
Doing it with deer I’ll tell you how it goes
Still dehydrating? That venison jerky gonna be like shoe leather
Thank you for making actual beef jerky and not kippered meat. People seem to noit understand the differeence.
Air frying dehydrate jerky fast
can you do it with deer meat ?
I’ve done deer jerky on the smoker but not in the air fryer yet.
Thank you ,I will use my smoker 😀@@CookingWithRy

If you're going to take it to a hiking or camping trip, anything that might involve survival, you definetly need to leave the fat on it.
Hold my beer
The meat cutter at some supermarkets will cut it for you
Far too hot
Great video, thank you!
