On the subject of lack of size inclusivity, I have an unpopular opinion. Not everything that looks nice on a slimmer body will look good on a heavier body. The insistence that fashion brands include larger sizes is misguided because heavier women should not try to replicate what thinner women are wearing, as these clothes are designed to enhance a thinner silhouette. Imo, heavier women should develop their own esthetics and look at brands that specialize in enhancing fuller silhouettes because they require a different eye, a different way of looking at shapes and proportions. I have a full figure woman friend, who dresses beautifully for her body type. She is sexy and voluptuous and radiates full blown femininity, but she wouldn't look good in larger sizes Sezane because these are not designed for her heavier silhouette.
I disagree😊 For example, loveshackfancy and Selkie have a similar feminine maximalist vibe and Selkie makes plus size clothes and although some of the clothes are a little too out there for me for everyday… my heart is happy that women of all sizes can choose for themselves whether they want to dress that way or not. In Sezane case, I think most of the clothes are elevated chic every day essentials, which most women benefit from!❤️ the reason your friend looks incredible is probably because of confidence 🥰the NUMBER ONE style secret!

While I do agree with you that women of all sizes can choose for themselves whether they want to dress that way or not, I do not feel this is the right focus because these clothes were designed with thinner women in mind, and women of other sizes are not honoring their size and shapes by insisting the designers just make larger sizes for clothes that were designed for thin women. It shows that fuller figure women are still looking for fashion inspired by thinner women, fashion trends pioneered on thinner women. The "skinny" jeans trend was such an unfortunate example...
Yes I love what you say. Same for very short women.. I have to alter every single piece of clothing I buy. Often you cant do anything about shoulder to waist length, or a jacket length. Its so expensive.
Having been at both ends of the spectrum, I have to agree. What I wear as a size 8 would not flatter me at all when I was a size 18. Shapes are very different and its not a case of just making something bigger, multiple things need to be fitted differently and shops just won’t invest in the design changes which are necessary as it would be very high cost. I’m also short which causes more issues since its also not a case of just cutting things a different length, the rise, shape, hips and knees are in a different place.
Thank to brave and unpopular opinion. I’m slim but curvy, pear shaped with booty and bosom. The few Sezane models that are not thin and straight actually look better in the clothing and are a better indicator of how an item may look on me.
Very well put! I agree Sezane is often disappointing. Actually it’s more French provincial style than Parisian style 🤷🏻♀️ For those who like French fashion, I suggest you have a look at Sœur, Sessun, Balzac at approx the same price point and far more reliable. Glad I found your channel 👍
Thank you for your video. Have been seeing more videos that are more honest and frankly less satisfactory reviews of Sezane. I myself don’t shop much from this brand anymore. Prices are high and quality is taking a back seat. The style has gone the way of trends more and more in the last few years. I find myself decluttering Sezane from my wardrobe and they are not selling as fast in the resell market and buyers want lower prices. The demand and popularity has slowed down.

I actually love my Brut Sexy jeans , I got them in my usual size (30) , I’m 5’8 and most Sezane trousers fit me really well. I’m 38/40 in Sezane, so not model thin and the fit is amazing apart from short dresses, that are too short and unflattering on me . I had an issue with a pair Dan trousers in linen cotton , that shrunk the whole size after one cold wash.
I wonder if they fit tall people better? I love most of their trousers! Good reminder about linen❤️ I think long and hard about washing many things in the reg washer!🥹🙏
I agree with your comments on Sezane. The quality has gone down. And yes I have 3 of the Brut jeans in tall, they are beautiful but are uncomfortable to wear. I am keeping them because cotton will get softer as it ages, and in a year or two, they will probably feel like a dream. Or so I hope, lol!
Agree with you on the bodycon dresses. I got the Fabiola and even though I sized up, I still feel like I need to wear shapewear underneath. Also tried the swimwear, a horrible fit, just like you mentioned. Haven't had much luck with the jeans neither. I do own the slim parfait. It's ok but definitely not my most comfortable pair, although they do keep their shape very well. I'm also 5'4

The pants that fit me well, like damon and martin crop, were a bit too thick or too itchy for my liking. I was looking at the gustavo though....
I like to share what i did to make new jeans comfy, hope it could be useful~I own 2 brut sexy and 1 Le crop jeans. Initially the brut sexy was skin tight (everywhere above my knees, but not to the stage creates a muffin top around my waist) and I wanted to return them. First, i threw them in the washing machine to wash. Ironed them, then wore them to do some stretching exercises, for example, squats, kickback ect…15 minutes later, they did stretch out a bit bigger. But the problem is , after wearing them to go out for about 3 times, i feel i need to size down my jeans😅 they are super comfy and I could even sleep in them😂
I am petite and have bought the brut sexy in indigo colour one year ago. I must say that it felt so uncomfortable. But I loved the shape on me so much. Meanwhile, one year later it indeed is so soft and I am really happy that I did not return it.
Oh thats interesting! That is what happened with the le crop for me but it didn’t take that long. Are there any other jeans you’ve had luck with there?
@@ZibaLennox I have the crop in three colours. Rosewood, green and brown. The brown ones are the softest, they have 2 percent elastane, I think. But they are all very highwaisted and as a petit it is quite hard for me to combine them with tops.
Re: Le Brut Sexy Y e a h...theyre def made for a certain body type. I have narrow hips and no ass but i love how they fit on me. Personally i prefer jeans to be 99% cotton 1% elastane so i love how the jeans feel. Other than that, i dont have much experience with the brand. All the tops i've bought are 100% cotton/linen and beautiful, and I adore them. Their recent drops dont interest me as much as i know my personal style. The preview of their fall collection that was just posted today on ig is...Meh imo lol. I just want beautiful 100%cotton knits in neutrals like the Keyla 😭😭😭

A common complaint about Sezane is that they design many items for a model's figure. The pants are too long and the thighs are narrow.
That makes sense! Theres a few trousers that are a good length for my average 5’4 frame like Damon and Dan but I have struggled with denim.
