I remember a show called "trick it out" that i used to see in MTV that was about a tuning competition between two tuning garages that were given The same car and budget to do the tuning. I can only find some pieces of episodes here and there but never was able to find the whole show.
The Truck My Truck shoutout at the end! That hit different! And Country Fried Home Videos! Bring me back to 2006 or whatever year it was quick a sec! Lol
Am I surprised that Jesse James was married to Sandra Bullock, still, to this day. Yes.
The Impala with the Duramax was the best episode of Pimp my Ride! Hands down
Nolan: I used to watch these shows with my dad.
James: 😢
Why?
Now you need to make an episode with the most ridiculous cars that Pimp My Ride built 🤣🤣
“there’s a camshaft running my fan!!”
"geared towards old guys" I'm 15 and I love those series so I guess I'm old as well
1:10 its like an rcr-ism lmao
I liked that "wtf" face in xzibit too, also when he started to loling.
The coolest Monster Garage creation was the ultimate cop car with built-in donut maker
You forgot Overhaulin’
Over haulin was better than pimp my ride
Overhaulin makes sense
I liked overhaulin. Way more practical. They actually made sure the car was practical and everything functioned properly, instead of just adding a bunch of unnecessary mods.
That was a damned good show.
Also, overhauling used to fix the cars!!!!
Fast"n"loud is the only car show i somewhat watch on discovery every now and then
VETTE
It’s every bit as bad as Pimp My Ride. That shop is like 10miles from my work, my boss is the owner of that gold corvette and the funny car hauler thing.
I’ve STILL never felt possessed to visit that place.
I used to love wheeler dealers. Until Ed left the show
Juan Cortez Muro reported for spam.
Same, Fast "n" loud and wheeler Dealers or the shit nowadays, also others as well like Kiding, Diesel Bros and such, we need more good car shows now
Rawlings seems like a jerk for no reason.
Stacey David from the show Gearz is the undisputed champ of all the cable TV vehicle mod shows of the 2000s. His custom 4x4s didn't have fuckin popcorn makers. They had 24 inches of suspension travel. He is a legend.
I forgot all about that guy.
Pimp my ride UK was even more tragic than the US version
Making slow compacts even slower :(
Now I’m curious!
@@hybridShinx "Slow compacts" I mean most hot hatches are faster than America cars.
@@gsw8734 im talking about base model hatch back not hot hatches, bylat
Wow looks like ik what im about to go look up
Pimp My Ride was one of the few shows I watched on MTV back when the network was still about music and there was no Jersey Shore or Teen Mom.
It was all about....
YOU HAVE OFFICIALLY BEEN PIMPED!
Who remembers “Living the low life” the show about low riders lol
I remember Vida
Vida Guerra's sexy ass is all I mainly remember lol
I really liked the Pimp My Ride episode where they installed a paint ball gun in the grille of a guy's car haha but I also had the PS2 Pimp My Ride game! It was tough but actually pretty good
um so you didnt end up explaining why the shows were "so kooky." you just gave a brief breakdown of each show.
I take it as a throwback, the title is like a phrase you say to your friend. And Nolan is our bestest friend here in donut. If they titled it "The real reason why...." then ur right
You expected quality from this channel?
Too much nos..
I think pimp my ride was a reflection of the worst part of the car scene at that time: i.e. all show, no go... lots of posers and wanna-be types.
Because that video would last five seconds long and the answer would be because the fast and the furious
Top gear pimp my ride
And nfsu-nfsmw
Da memories
And playstation 2
@@laputin710 I had PC, bruh
@@Saikou7896 yeah old CRT monitors then.
I loved most wanted!
I still hear that song when I think of it.
Down skeet skeet skeet.
@@ridetheapex it's underground, no?
get low
Early 2000's people : we love asanti wheels
Us: ew asanti are like asshole wheels yuck
Us again: we love TE37's
Like really who puts gold and diamonds in there wheels 😝lol
You just brought me back to my childhood thank you.
Rust valley restorers is a really good show I’m just waiting for season 2
Nicholas Lavoie I enjoy it but they don’t show enough of the actual work being done to the cars.
Matt's Garage yeah true but still really like them
I honestly dont think there will be another season, the only entertainment is the idiot who just says dumb shit and breaks things, after seeing him on tv i wouldnt want anything that they build or fix...and i think he ended up in the negative didnt he?
7:32 “Samir your breaking the car”. “Shud ap”
You missed a golden opportunity...
"You've should've seen me before we started this episode, I was a mess!"
*Takes sip of NOS Energy Drink*
"But NOS anymore!"
Nope...... No. NO! No.
No.
"Pimp my Ride" more like "Rice my Ride"
Back in 2000 I wanted one of those Spongebob TVs, but then I got over it. Then I wanted to smoke weed with the cool kids, but then I got over it. So all I did was watch MTV and ate frozen burritos after school.
10:32 "Trick My Truck" was the only one of these I had seen, lol.
In reference to the to early cars of the 2000s looking wacky in general:
The 2001 BMW 325 looked great VS it’s Audi rival and other cars in its class.
Grew up with a gear head father. So it was Trucks with Stacy, Junkyard Wars, Monster Garage, Overhaulin, American Choppers and many more. My Childhood😎.
10 years from now someone will be roasting youtubers like you.
Dang bro, taking me back to my
*y o u t h*
Throw in some NFS Underground and some hot pockets and I'll cry
Don't remember the shows very well but remember the moments spent watching this with my friends every week. Man those were some good times.
but Chip Foose was the king of the 2000's shows
I used to like that show back then. Now i think restomods are cancerous. Nothing makes me cringe more than huge modern wheels on 70s muscle cars.
@@Fucklesticks They look great, plus changing wheels is easy if it's not your thing.
I always felt the cars would have looked better without his paint or wheel choices.
Whats wrong with Chip Foose ??
he deserves a little of love
"Yo Dawg, I heard you like Poopin, so we put a Toilet in your ride, so you Can POO, WHILE YOU DRIVE"....
"while watching it on a camera linked to your 14 Directed Monitors as it hits your Chrome 19 inch Giovani S' rims"
God dammit you ruined my Ramen
PS2 and pimp my ride are the 2 favs of 2000's
Wheeler Dealers, still a favorite for me
Yes me too. can actually learn something. Ed China was pretty good at fixing almost anything. The new guy Ant is ok I guess.
Yup, although havent watched the show with the new guy who replaced Ed China. Some of the auto channels on UA-cam are great too.
Even the French version of it is cool, and for some random reason I live 300m away from where it's shot.
"Ghost ride the whip"
Said Xzibit.
Overhaulin with chip foose was the best car upgrade show... Real mechanical upgrades , dyno testing , excellent paint , foose rims... yea.. the best
Even if I'm french, I remember all of these car shows
SO YOU WANNA BE A PLAYA
BUT YOUR WHEELS AIN'T FLY
YOU GOTTA HIT US UP
TO GET A PIMPED OUT RIDE
the truth is, it wasn't pimp my ride, it was "punked my ride"
*Riced out
Loved these shows but watching this reminded me about Junkyard Wars. Not always cars but still a great show for mechanic stuff
