We're similar ages but when I was out AWPing down pros in competitive Counter-Strike: Source this man was picking up medals in MULTIPLE FG titles. Big respect to him, for me he's like the NA version of Ryan Hart, and I mean that in the best way.

Buff Kung Lao give him back his moves NRS. Scrap the Lao kameo add his moves to main roster lao then add the great Kung Lao kameo and get creative with his moves
As a Charade main in SC2, I've always wanted something similar in DoA (my main game). I use to roll double random select because it's as close as I could get 😢
It's a crime Mokujin isn't in Tekken 8. Though I dont main the roster of Tekken but I would still enjoy him as a guilty pleasure
My opinion as a guy who plays yoshi in tekken and soulcalibur is that the reason heat works so well for him is because in SC6 Soul Charge was a proto heat mechanic. And all though tekken yoshi and soulcalibur yoshi are kinda different giving him more moves and the health steal mechanics from soulcalibur 6 and instead of giving him meter they give him health. Now tekken yoshi now can use his health as more of a resource.
I really like the Kameo system, but I agree that the main roster characters should all have more complete movesets. Rather than needing to rely on certain Kameos, your character should feel free to pick any Kameo as a bonus. They’ve already added new moves to some characters and I think they should continue doing that and just buffing everyone in general.
I just wanna say this, i a asuka main talking shit about their main being garbage, it's not a downplay but pure facts, if you lose to a asuka, it's either you yourself is bad at fighting games or you just let her get away with murder. The only reason people say "asuka is strong" is her grabs and parries which you can easily counter by not over commiting, everything asuka does is a full commitment. Like c'mon in Tekken 5,6 tag 2, revolution (before it shut down) and 7 asuka is mix up heavy with her fake out and mix ups. She's a high low guess the mix character with a very punishing parry, in those games she's slow but pretty damaging, granted there's little rewards to her combos. Now I don't play optimal asuka, because playing Tekken optimally is not fun, too much defense not enough offense (especially if you're lower in health than your opponent you're forced to play offense but you still choose defense like what?!) what really stupid is, if asuka get parried and she gets grabbed, it's considered as a unbreakable grab, she can't even parry moves that isn't a straight kick or straight punch.
If you read all of this I'm sorry this is so long, good job but this is my rant of anything asuka say isn't down play if you actually play asuka against people who actually play Tekken competently, if you're a asuka main in mid and high rank. Just play jun. She is just asuka but better, minus some of the satisfying asuka moves

the part about MK1 balancing that I hate the most is the difference in health values between characters and kameos
yes, it exists in many games (grapplers SHOULD be tanky), but the MK balance team will recognize a problem, and rather than fix the actual root of the issue,
they'll just take 50 health from the character
like, I GUESS it works, but it feels like a bandaid fix; "nerfing" a character by making them have more frequent deaths across the entire playerbase because of a smaller health pool feels lame. And the fact that you can have situations in MK1 where the health values range from 800 to 1200 is ridiculous, especially when archetypes dont really exist anymore

That would be great really enjoy both of you guys content although Frame really does have a modern players mindset when it comes to tekken think he started in tag 2
Yoshimitsu I think they just need to nerf his combo dmg and nerf his heat mode somewhere and he'd be fine. Yoshimitsu you still need to represent all his moves well to be a menace at high level or he's probably going to lose. Yoshimitsu in T8 is in a similar spot that Reina is where he's popular but people just aren't that good with winning as him. However I predict they are going to drag their heels nerfing Yoshi since Yoshi doesn't really have annoying spammable moves like Reina did with her taido rolls and Raiden (FF2). He has annoying moves to deal with but it's defensive tools like his flash which you basically have to press into. He still retains his weakness from t7 which is his pokes and offense but his heatmode covers up this weakness well. If you can defend and keep the lead against Yoshi during heat mode you should be able to just turtle him out for the wins generally (this counterplay was the general strat in T7 as well) which is easier said than done especially since Yoshimitsu is known as one of the most expressive characters in a fighting game ever so you generally only have a FT2 to learn each Yoshimitsu player's tendencies on top of already knowing most of the characters moves already.

perfect legend with a couple of awful takes straight out the gate, subzero prays to the elder gods he could have a dive kick like cammy, his is complete garbage and sorry to break it to you but the fgc still doesn't respect DOA and probably never will. As for Heihachi, yeah sure bring him back but he doesn't have to be officially alive too be a playable character.... Kazumi was dead the whole time.
