  • We recently purchased a Jackery 240 Portable Power Station and have been using it on a regular basis. We purchased a Jackery 1000 about 2 years ago and have been very happy with it, so we decided to purchase a little more power security for our off-grid property.
We primarily use the Jackery 240 to charge our phones, drone, cameras, battery packs, usb powered lights, and more. It does a great job and is a great addition to ensure we have reliable access to power. We continue to use our Jackery 1000 primarily for our TV, 12v refrigerator and fan. The Jackery 240 is 1/4 the size of the Jackery 1000, so the power consumption is proportional (if the Jackery 1000 takes 10% to charge "item A" overnight, the Jackery 240 will typically use about 40% to charge the same item).
The Jackery 240 provides 240 watt hours of use in a small package. Weighing in at about 6 lbs, this unit won't power an air conditioner (neither will the Jackery 1000), but it will power many items for a certain amount of time in the event of an emergency. It's a valuable tool to have these days and our Jackery Portable Power Station's have been useful and reliable for us.
If you're interested in purchasing a Jackery 240, he's a link to amazon where it's currently available for about $219! amzn.to/3LPQoo3

How far can you run these down to without damaging the battery? Is it advised to only run down to 80% in order to keep it healthy?

My understanding is to not let it go below 30%. I've let this one (and our Jackery 1000) get down to 20% a few times, but haven't seen any difference in function. I believe they're good for about 2000 cycles (recharges) before you'll see any reduction in capacity.
