I got it for $169 on an Amazon lighting deal. While we don’t lose power too often, something like this will really help power up larger items, beyond a phone, tablet, or laptop. Thanks for the review.
👍Wow, you did an awesome review of these items. I greatly appreciate your efforts and the work involved with filming, editing & posting this video. Thank you.💝
What a time to be alive and a great way to get the kids outside and keep them comfortable. (240 can keep a TV going for 3 hours!)
I've watched a lot of reviews on the jackery 240. Yours by far is the best review I have watched. I ordered one well over a week ago and it has been stuck in Dallas-Fort Worth since the 15th of February. The ice and snow has it stuck with FedEx so hopefully when it all melts I'll be getting it soon. I will be using mine to go camping just give me a couple of lights at night and maybe down the road a small 12 volt refrigerator. I also bought the solar panel. I camp totally off-grid in East Tennessee Mountains. So I'm looking forward to using this. Again, thank you.
This was a very helpful, no frills, review. It told me everything that I wanted to know about the 240. Thanks
Love your pun! And just to clarify, the reason why your MacBook power brick made a buzzing sound when plugged into the non pure-sine-wave power station is that the waveform of the AC voltage was more like a square wave. That caused the buzzing sound. Sine waves are steady curves, with no abrupt changes in voltage.
Thank you so much for reviewing this! I was trying to figure out whether or not I should buy this; this review helped!😊
Thank you for your video, it was very informative, like just mentioning the cord, and that it is long, I couldn't find anywhere on amazon or any other video out of the 8 or so I watched that said anything about the cord, Nice job!
Just purchased one based on your EXCELLENT review. AND you should try out for a Mr. Rogers part 😆 Thank you!
Hi, great review, thanks for taking the time!
Thanks for the review. I’ll be buying one soon.
The small one is very limited. I wish I went to the 500 or bigger.
Thanks for the great review! I just heard that power stations are about to skyrocket in price. I was trying to figure out if this would be the best for my budget. Your review helped me make a decision!
Awesome video! Picking this up for the upcoming Texas snow storm!
Good luck to you! This one is still working very well for me!
Thank you for the helpful information. This has helped me to make a decision on my purchase.
Glad I could help!
Thank you so much you explain how it works by showing step by step, i appreciate it, the last video the man just talked about the parts, then it went into the jackery being charged he didn’t show how he hooked it up like you have ✅ done. Thanks again.
You're welcome and thank you for the comment. It's nice to hear from viewers!
mine is coming tomorrow - thanks for the review
Thank you! 1000 times thankyou! I bought this recently and waiting for delivery now any day. It's perfect for me as I'm pretty well set up anyway if power goes out, but being able to charge my cell or laptop and using small devices means a lot. Your review was great!
Glad I could help! Thanks for the comment!
@@jettlash1000 I got my Jackery 240 and I love it. I bought it thru Amazon. When I tried to get the Jackery solar panel I hit a snag. The 60 watt wasn't on Amazon so I contacted the company itself as I saw it on their website. It turns out I can't get it because they don't ship outside of the US. I'm in Canada. I was able to get another solar panel that would work with the 240. Just waiting for it now. It's sad that the company doesn't ship at least to Canada with is on the same continent. Due to that fact I won't be buying anything more from them. Had I known this before hand I would not have purchased the Jackery. They really are cutting off a lot of business. If people are willing to pay the shipping I don't see the problem plus there would be import taxes to pay too. Their product is worth all this.
Buy directly from jackery.com instead of Amazon.
@@Louisianna321 I would love to and I tried but they don't ship outside of the US and I'm in Canada. Doesn't make much sense, since you can buy it from Amazon which means the product is being sent out of country.
@@Louisianna321 I just checked it out. The Canadian page only has the Jackery 1000 and 1500 available. I'll stick with Canadian Tire and get either a 250 or a 500 with a generic solar panel.

I love my Jackary 240 and solar panels for car camping! Great review by the way!
Hello, I'm thinking of ordering the jackery 240. What kind of solar panel do I buy?
I bought the solar panels made by Jackary that are made to go with the 240...the 60 watt Jackary solar panels. As I'm not very knowledgeable about solar, it was easier for me to do it that way than try to marry a product from another company to my 240.
Good honest review, thanks!!
I just received my jackery yesterday and love it. Had to wait for UK version and it was worth it. Pricey in my opinion but worth the money. It is heavier then I expected but compacted and small. About to do car camping with a tent extension. Can't wait. Can I ask I noticed the USB sockets both need to be turned on before they work, the little buttons. I thought they could work independently but clearly cannot unless you switch both USB panel buttons on. My jackery came with 29% charge. I charged it over night. Will be testing it this weekend.
Also I did my research for 3 years on Jackery power stations. I didn't go for their Solar panel because it was kind of daft not making it waterproof. I purchased another panel at 60watts for a lot less that is compatible and works based on reviews by another Jackey 240 owner.
What solar panel did you get?
Great review! I'll be getting a Jackery now.
They're on sale right now! You can get the panel and 240 for about $315
Awesome review! Thanks!
Thank you, this was very helpful.
Good information. Thank you!
Excelent information.Thank you
Good review, what made you choose the jackery 240 over other types in the same class rockpals etc.
Great review man.
Very good review. How are you liking your pellet stove, we are thinking of purchasing one.
Take care,
John
Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm looking for something solar I can use for CPAP machine if power goes out.
Thank you for your comment. I hope it works well for you.
Great review,i want to buy this,i have a question if its possible to answer my friend as i am not an expert on electricity....i have a solar panek of maximum power 250Wp voltage at Pmax 51,2v and current at Pmax 4,88A maximum system voltage 1000v.....is this suitable for charging the jackery without harming it?i mean with the typical mc4 cnnection to dc would work right?thank again
Can you plug a 3-prong extension cord into the AC plug in? Or is it just a two prong?
Great review, thanks! It is now featured on Jackery 240 page on Waivio. Have you tried newer high-capacity models?
Thank you for the comment! No, I haven't tested the bigger models but I would LOVE to.
Can you tell me if I can use my 100W Jackery panel with the 240? Thanks.
Hi, How do you RESET the Jackery 240 if you overload it. Mine says 0% now? thanks Chuck
You can cook rice with this using this Amazon product> "Electric Lunch Box, 1L Travel Rice Cooker Small 12V For Car, Cooking For Soup Porridge and Rice, Cooking Heating and Keeping Warm Function(Green)"
Thanks very helpful
Glad it helped!
Hi, do you know if it´s usable with a Vacuum Machine?
If I left this plugged in 24/7 and my CPAP plugged into the outlet, because of the pass through charging would it just work as a really good UPS?
Can a breaker bar be plugged in? Not going over the wattage...
I’m looking for something easy if the power goes out, Not looking to operate a refrigerator or electric stove, but more of a coffee maker or a counter top toaster oven, my toaster oven says 1200 watts, would the Jackery work on that ??
Very nice review.
I'm still looking for the measurement spec of the solar panel jack ... 3.5mm? I plan to find an affordable solar panel and want to make sure it fits
Excellent review! I'm happy with mine, I had my Chromebook and my Oontz plugged in, plus my Netgear range extender, and was able to stream music from UA-cam and jam out in the yard while I barbecued 🍖
you might be correct on the solar panel jack size. You should probably check with the manufacturer just to be sure though. That’s awesome that yours has been working out as well as mine has. Enjoy!
Hi. Thank you for this vid. Straight forward info. I have a question. Can I use my Vornado fan using this while camping? Thx
vornado 279T 69W
It should without a problem. At 69 watts, you're only going to get 3-4 hours on a charge.
If I have a 19v 65 watt laptop battery does that mean it would give me almost 4 full charges for the laptop from a fully charged 240W jackery battery?
can u charge say ur phone directly off the solar unit or do u have to have the 240?
Can I run a projector and speakers for a few hours?
I have the Samsung Galaxy S21 ultra and I have the 60 W panel. And when I plug it into my phone I get a yellow triangle with a lightning bolt in the middle. From what I understand it's telling me that it's pulling in too much power for my phone. What is your take on what is happening?
Great channel
Thanks!
Can you plug kettles and toasters into this?
I’m about to be living in my car so I think I’m going to get one of these
I have two 240 power stations, rather than a 500 wattt Jackery because I need short charge from my 60 watt panels. And I use them for different things. I just ordered a 500 watt for another long term need.
I would LOVE to get the 1000, but just can justify the $$ at this time. I hope you enjoy your Jackery's and thanks for watching!
How long will it run a high velocity fan
Would the Jackery 240 be enough to load the car battery at least to some 20-30 % capacity (through a battery charger plugged on the AC socket) or at least to start the car? My car is parked outside, there is no power in the near and the battery is hard to remove and take home to charge. I know the 500 would do it but the 240 is cheaper, that's why i ask.
I have been trying to find out if I can run a small fan off of this jackery but I can't find any reviews for this or comments.
Can I charge this on a 100watt solar panel?
will the 240 work with solarsaga 100 ?
What solar panel do u have ??
I've noticed it doesn't have a Led light on it.
hello, can this charger keep a fridge running? in case of an outage?
No it can't. Basically phone and laptop recharge.
I just got my new Jackery and I'm so confused. I dont know how to cut it off🤯
Can this work to power light that hang on my canopy ? I started a business and I work about 10 hrs a day. It gets dark earlier now so im out in the dark for 5hours. Can this generator be good ?
Was asking my self
The same question
I share your enthusiasm for the Jackery but you don’t have to worry about charging your laptop from that Omni charge. It is purely a DC battery pack. Not AC. No sine wave. Also.. Jackery does not recommend pass-through charging on the 240 or 300 because it just adds cycles to your battery and you only get 500 charge cycles before the Jackery goes to 80%.
Thanks for the comment! There's something cool about the pass-through charging that I just get a kick out of. I haven't had a chance to use this in an emergency power-out scenario, but I'm sure that time is coming soon.
I was not able to “Smash” the Like Button but I did “Press” it.
Do you have any idea how long the charge last in the jackery without being used.
Lithium Ion batteries are designed to hold a charge for a very long time, anywhere from 6 months to a year. If you do intend to store something like this over a long period of time without using it, however, it is best to store it in a cool, dry location at about 50% of its charge capacity. LiOn does not like extreme cold or heat.
Did you find any problems with charging multiple small electronic devices off the USB ports? I cant even charge two iphones off one of the USB output ports (using a split charger drawing 2a).
So it looks like the USB ports really cut out at 2.4a, which turns out to be only like 12 watts, so there really isn't any capacity to charge more than one device at a time per port. Have to get a USB adapter for the 12v plug. Would have been cool for the reviewer to mention this
Also, Jackery told me they don't recommend pass-through charging as it may damage the battery? Any thoughts? I guess you've been doing it without problems? [Although you did say you only had it for about a month. Maybe have a better idea about that now...] Thanks.
I will follow Jackery's recommendation myself.
Sold!!!!
i'm curious. what's the highest charging wattage it will accept? Will it charge at 200w? or 300w?
200w
9:21 doesn't that affect the Jackery?
Fantastic Video really helped me decide a lot of what to buy.Just want a product like the Jackery 240 to Charge my Cell Phone or my Laptop and thats it.We just had a big Snow in Virginia and my Sister and thousands of others lost electricity for 6 Days Straight.Just want to be able to Text or make a Call in Case of an Emergency which can happen.I dont have a Land Line just a Cell Phone.Amazon has it for 199.00 and thats as much as I want to put into it.You described it very well and that helped me a lot.Subscribed to your Channel its the least I can do for your Help describing what the Jackery can do.Take Care Jettlash1000.
Hi Mike, thanks for the nice comment, it’s what keeps me doing these videos. Enjoy the Jackery, mine is still working very well!
Is the solar charging jack proprietary?. I have an Anti-Gravity fold out solar panel I'd like to use. I could disconnect the MC4 and use theirs? My Anti Gravity solar panel comes with ten tips
I believe it’s an 8 mm connector.
Can it power a TV ?
can i charge my Jackery with electrcittiy for my home instead of from a solar panel?
Yup! I plug mine in before trips and if I forget it comes with a car adapter so you can charge it while you’re driving
Can it run my 5 cup coffee maker?
Random Question: Would I be able to plug in a power bar into the outlet so I could get maybe 2-4 more outlets??? For instance, if there are two laptops that need to be plugged in out on a picnic table or something, etc.
I'd love to know this as well
I would guess so! as long as you arent going over the max wattage
Can you operate a lamp outdoors with this unit
Absolutely, just don't get the Jackery wet.
how long to charge this Jackery? That's important question. Solar and Plugged in.
4-6 hours depending on state of charge and the solar panel(s) used.
How many hours will this last if I plug a regular house lamp with a 60w light bulb ? Before I would have to recharge ?
3-4 hours.
Get a more efficient say 8 watt light and you get 24 or so hours
will this run an electric blanket for 8 hrs?
I run a little square electric heating pad on it, it pushes about 45 watts, with 240 watt hours it'll run about 4-5 hours.
But generally I'll just run it for 30-45minutea to warm up my blankets and get it nice and trapped in there to go to sleep then maybe a little in the morning.
It's surprising how little you need with it under you or between your sheets.
Hey, great review, thank you! I have a tec question maybe u could help. We left the Jackery 240’s Outlet switch on in its back going on a 4 hour journey (nothing was plugged in)
We when we got to our destination and took it out of the bag it was very warm / hot & both fans was running !
The fans would have struggled to get air for whatever length they were on. Any idea if the heat was coming from the battery, the inverter or the fans them selfs?
As far as we knew there was a cut off built into it so I’m wondering why it wouldn’t have shut down ? I reset the battery and it appears to be working 100% , surprisingly fans seem fine etc. Thanks in advance
The 240 has a cutoff after 12-hours if the draw is below 10w. It would have been slowly draining the entire duration of your 4-hour trip.
Since it was in a bag, the heat had nowhere to go - impossible to dissipate in a confined space (like a bag, even more so if it were zipped it otherwise closed).

I bought a jackery 240 about 3 weeks ago and I've noticed something that I may just be overthinking about, and I'm trying to get other owners of the 240's opinion. I've noticed that when watching videos here on UA-cam that on some units, even like the 500 and 300 when you plug in charger to charge that the light is blue when charging and turns green when done. I've never saw a detailed video on the 240 to see if it acts the same when its done charging. Mine never turns green. It will charge up to 100% and the watts will taper down, slowly going to zero and the charger box even gets cold, from not pushing out anymore power, but the light never turns green, it always stays blue. The unit seems to function fine, and I even left it plugged up for like 12 hours just to make sure, but it never changes to green, it stays blue. Can anyone else who owns a 240 confirm if theirs stays blue or does turn green? Like I say, any other time I wouldn't think anything of it, but it's got me questioning why the 240 stays blue but the other units turn green when done
I believe mine stays blue as I'm solar charging. If yours is working well besides that, I wouldn't worry about it.
@@jettlash1000 awesome, thanks for replying!
Wish I went bigger because this one is basically for phones, laptops. No charging a coffee maker with it lol
Can you use your laptop while charging?
I do all the time, no issues for me on my PC and MacBook.
@@jettlash1000 thanks!
why does your saga 60 fold in 3, when all the other ones I see fold in half, 2 pieces?
Not sure, but mine is a bit older now.
@@jettlash1000 yea apparently yours is the older style. new ones fold in half
Just got this on prime day for 160 10 for shipping

then why call him a "FOO"?
Omni charge is a piece of shit!
