    Man, first time I saw you play... the tattoos and everything, i'd say i'd be afraid to approach you... But you are a well spoken, intelligent and kind person it sounds like : ). Will try to make it out to one of your shows.

    Thanks for the video. I’m shopping for my first 7 strings right now and this was helpful. Liked the “Closer to the heart”and “Working Man” riffs. 👍🙂

    Excellent Whitesnake riff. I also order this guitar myself, but I’m going to replace the electronics and pickups.

    Boooo for no tour dates in MD/PA, but awesome that you're touring with them again!!
    Sick guitar - but I wish Sterling/EBMM would make some hardtail 7-strings

    This in white is somewhat reminiscent of the Carvin DC727s in white.
    Looks great. May have to order this soon cause my two seven strings I have are both fixed bridge guitars and I need a seven with a trem.

    • @Toisen
      @Toisen 9 місяців тому

      Trem on 7 is not the same as on 6: it's much more stiff because of additional tension from 7th string (basically no flutters) and it's harder to set it up to stay in tune. I have EBMM Majesty 7 and I mounted a tremol-no on it and I think I unlocked the bridge only once ever since despite using it on my 6 string MM alot. I would recommend to try it before you buy it if you can.

    Great video. I'm interested but I hear unfortunate things about the bridges on past Sterlings. How is the tuning stability after playing a song that uses the tremolo?

    I’ve heard that sterling guitars can’t handle the rigors of the road. This has prevented me from checking out sterling. I desperately hope this goes on tour and kicks arse in every department so I might be interested in them again. They do make attractive instruments.

    nice demo man, i am interested in that model, in your opinion do you think the humbuckers for this sterling can get heavy distortion without cranking up the gain so much?, i noticed that some other humbuckers you can get a great high gain tones without cranking the gain all the way up and when you do that sometimes you loose come clarity do you feel that on this guitar or do you feel it has enough gain lets say with the amp gain a 3pm clockwise?

    Sexy seven string. Wish it came minus the dotted fret inlays. Think my favorite seven string at the moment would have to be the Josh Smith (northlane) custom from Jackson! Enjoy that bad boy though!!

      My dream 7 string at the moment is either a Carvin DC727 (cause I got a Carvin DC400 a month ago and fell in love with its playability) or an ESP E-II Horizon 7

    How does it play? I had a 7 string ibanez before that played like a surfboard and was so wide and flat it was not comfortable for my little hands lol ernie ball music man sevens usually feel like a 6 string but this is a cheaper model of those. What are your thoughts? not insulting it at all its a dope guitar to be sure! Just wanna get your take on feeling.

    Would not recommend Sterling unless you get a great deal on one... For the price you can easily get a guitar with way better pickups and bridge. They don't hold their value on the used market so wait and find one 50% off if anything

    • @donbishop6994
      @donbishop6994 9 місяців тому +7

      If you're at all concerned with potential resale value, you shouldn't buy it. If you want a solid guitar at a good price, Sterling foots that bill. I have a Sterling cutlass, and love everything about it. Cost me 350 bucks and is worth every penny.

    • @beanieweenies-s3v
      @beanieweenies-s3v 9 місяців тому +5

      Big disagreement on that one. Pickups and bridge is a personal preference id change even on a $1500 guitar, just because I know what I like exactly and that rarely ever comes stock. My jp157 has seymour duncan alpha omega set and i put a gotoh ns510tsfe7 bridge in and I love it so much I sold my schecter hellraiser c-7 FRS and my 20 year old MIJ ibanez s7420fm because it feels and plays that much better. Sterling is worth every penny for me, but again I'm also someone thats going to mod my guitar regardless of what it is or what it comes with.

    • @donbishop6994
      @donbishop6994 9 місяців тому

      @@beanieweenies-s3v It's pretty rare to find a guitar that ticks every single box, but there are a few out there. My sterling is almost perfect, but I had to immediately change the 5 way switch, as it was scratchy right out of the box. At some point I'm going to upgrade the sss pickups, they're usable but not the best sounding without gain. I'm thinking either a matched Bare Knuckle set, or a set from @DylanTalksTone. He makes great pups.

    • @NoJobRob
      @NoJobRob 9 місяців тому +1

      I'm not talking about reselling them I'm purely talking about buying...if you're buying a guitar with shitty pickups and bridge you should at least buy it for a price where you can replace those for the same price or less as if you just bought a better guitar...otherwise just buy the better guitar. Obviously not everyone feels this way but plenty do...personally it would be nice to see more people take a stand and say I'm not paying $1000+ for a guitar with mediocre-at-best pickups and bridge...just my thoughts as someone who's owned three of them

    • @donbishop6994
      @donbishop6994 9 місяців тому

      @@NoJobRob Nobody is forcing you or anyone else to buy anything. Buy what you like, I 100% support this. If something isn't worth the asking price then don't buy it. I'm not arguing against that position. Should we need to change the pickups in a thousand plus dollar guitar? Absolutely not. But people have preferences and will swap things that don't suit their preference, and that's fine by me. As for the resale market, if you don't intend to consider the resale value, why even mention it? It makes no sense. If it didn't matter to you, you wouldn't have brought it up.
