I love how the first half of the song, the guitars stand out more alongside a tiny bit of drum flair, and then after the guitar solos, the drums kick it into high gear with the groove and your ears can't be taken off of them. Each musician compliments the other.
The lack of good composition. Only guitarists listen to this to drool over the technical aspects. The writing is boring as usual. There's a reason millions of people would rather listen to Nirvana than this. The technical talent is a 11 out of 10 but it truly lacks compositional talent. Oli Herbert is an example of a player who had both, or Dimebag, they could write a fucking song that most people find palatable.
That's exactly what I thought of as well, and then I remembered Jason R covering that at some point not too long ago. It's the best part of this song, IMO; the build up to it is great.
It's more disappointing than anything tbh - Jason's more than creative enough to write something like that on his own. Dunno why he had to go and rip off of Zedd. I mean I'd be tempted to as well, the chord progression is totally enchanting. But still. It kinda ruins the song for me.
This is alot to read so try to sponge in atleast some of it Jason richardson is just one of those people that prove to people that somethings people thought were impossible on guitar are possible with Jason, in Hos Down he plays the country part ALTERNATE picking which i haven't seen anyone do in the country scene, his live shows are also pixel perfect and almost never messes up the most difficult songs ever made on guitar. He also string skips at the speed people do with triplets and perfectly clean at that. Jason. If your hearing this, because of the songs you create people are proven time and time again that you can constantly improve no matter how good you are! :> also this comment was made before the song premiered so this isn't a reaction of the song
This is such a bad ass concept for a video. The song is fire and I love that Tim is in it. He has such a unique guitar sound. As a drummer of 22 years my self, Luke Holland is my favorite drummer he makes me want to practice even harder. The whole band is just amazing Holy shit

I regret that when this album came out, I quickly scanned over it and incorrectly assumed it was a repetition of Jason's first album. It is not, even if there is a style continuity. This is a much more mature effort from all angles, composition, production, arrangements, tones... all around a fantastic album!

I just wanna thank JR and LH for making the prog metal scene non-generic with their music. That acoustic guitar twist plus the major chords sound in the last part made a huge difference!

Can we all take a moment and Thank God that we have a new collection of musicians who are mastering an instrument and taking things to the next level? The industry has given very little support to musicians over the last decade or so. Not saying there hasn't been any. There just isn't the type of support that once existed for bands and musicians coming from the Industry overall for quite a long time. Tim, Luke and Jason are a glimpse into the future and it is looking and sounding fantastic. As a musician of 35 years, I am relieved to see these young artists rising up and forging a new era of guitar legends. It is all the more impressive to see instrumentalists reaching the masses in such a way that will inspire even the next generation of guitarists to follow. While I have a pallet for all sorts of genres of music, as a musician, I will always prefer those who master an instrument over those who karaoke to a programmed beat. Just sayin. Salute.

I just don’t care for this type of music, I can enjoy the talent it must take to perform these songs. For me it’s the instruments, the absolute highest high end guitars specially made for these performers are absolutely a work of art. I would just hang these on a wall in my home a look at them all day.
Jason is like the Travis barker of guitar his work ethic is crazy but Tim has that cool random jazz harmonic style that just throws you off with all the bends. But Jason will play the most bizarre patterns. Love them both.
