@@ZenCyde I feel like the main concern would be with the brake system instead of the transmission, I mean dropping the clutch is never ideal but done "properly" isn't as bad and with disengaging the e-brake you may cause additional wear on rotors and pads while tapping full throttle, change them out more than regular and maybe your clutch but fuck it. Burnouts.
After just buying a new set of tires and getting a 4 alignment done. Won’t be doing this for a long time. Lol not bad for a car that has 235121miles on it. Gone through 4 sets of tires 1 wheelbearing sensor and a set of brakes and still runs like new.
I wanna pick up a 2017 civic si but i cant drive a manual yet. I have watched so many videos on this car and the more i watch the more i want one. Plus it would be nice to go from 10mpg right now to the 38 mpg highway lol
I learned manual on my last Si, an 2007 8th gen Si coupé - at the time, I did not know how to drive a manual - But I bought the car and learned in less than a week. I was launching the car the next week! - trust me, you'll stall out a bunch of times but, then it becomes muscle memory an you will just hear the engine and know when to shift - Now I have a white 10th gen Si and I F*ckin love the damn car! - I'm telling you Q, get yourself one of these - you cannot beat the price and deal! - You can learn very quickly, especially if you're a car guy (which I am assuming you are) so you already know when to shift, and how the engine works - Now, it's just doing the physical motions which you can get down in NO time! Good Luck!
2018 si was my first manual car. Got it in December and I’m loving it right now. It took me a while to smoothly shift but it’s all possible with if you love what you’re driving. Every time I go out, I’m always a little excited to drive my 10th gen
Anybody knows how to Rev it like that with auto transmission ? Because I tried but even if you change to sport and use F1 shift pedals manually it will change gear automatically if you Rev it up to 6.000 rpm :(
Do you just hold the e-brake up the whole time then let go when you wanna take off? I’m also tuned with ktuner so I just wanna know if that’s exactly what u did.
Jabbawocke56 I just have a PRL Race MAF cobra intake and a ktuner with a custom race MAF tune. And these cars are so quiet in stock form I would recommend straight piping from the front pipe back.
Uberlight2 thanks for the info! Yeah these cars are ridiculously quiet and it's kinda upsetting. Would you recommend straight piping for a daily driver? Ive previously straight piped some other vehicles and it left them sounding to droney or obnoxious.
Jabbawocke56 in this video my whole exhaust is off and it's just the 2ft section of downpipe. I've been dailying it like this for about a month and it's not gotten annoying.
I did this once and now it won’t let me do it again so I’m a little confused, on the last step do you hold you foot in the whole time or just press in then release?

When u start the burnout u can let go of the e brake ;)
Does it reingage or is that a whole process to become to normal
do you have any mods besides the exhaust?
