The Navi compute units in the Radeon 680m+ (igpu for the Ryzen 7 7735HS) is A LOT faster than the Vega you see here. In fact, for pure compute, it's on par with an ARC 380 or the RX 6400, both cards released recently.
i have a 4yr old laptop with ryzen 5 2500u and vega 8 still gives me good fps on older titles which came before 2020 and most of the games after 2020 are trash anyways
I remember playing gta V with a 3200g during 2020, while my monitor was still my old tv. Mid to high settings at 768p and 60fps locked. Man I really enjoyed that hours spent playing with my friends during the pandemic

I still have my Ryzen 5 2400G with integrated Vega 11 graphics and it performs better than the Vega 8 in older titles while being a bit better in newer titles. It served me well until I jumped onto a cheap RX 570 and then RX 5600 XT.
Well for the price, you can usually find a used steam deck which you can use docked or mobile and it should outperform the Vega 8 in gaming (the CPU seems to be faster though)

This is what you get when there is zero thermal throttling and why these mini PC (and laptop) manufacturers should pay more attention to it. Add the dual channel RAM and you have an acceptable entry level system. But with single channel RAM and thermal throttling you have a POS. I have a Beelink SER5 Max (R7 5800H, 8C16T, 32GB DDR4-3200, Vega 8). It's good enough to play Crysis Warhead at 1080p, Gamer setting with frame rates at 30-40 fps. Bioshock Remastered plays maxed out at 1080p with frame rates at 100+ fps. The SER5 Max is best for older games which is fine.

I have a game called final nights 3 I played it with an rtx 3060 and a ryzen 7 5800X this game came out in 2017 so it should run really good but when I enable overdrive it’s super stuttery and at one point it dropped below 30 fps does my pc have a problem or is the game just super optimized? I’ve also seen people play it way smoother even back in 2017
It running Cyberpunk and getting 30+ fps while driving is quite impressive even at 720p low with fsr quality, the not so impressive thing is that its 350 euro...maybe if it was the 32gb ram and a 1tb storage but even then its meh.

There's nothing else at the supposed 246$ that's a prebuilt and plays games this well. Obviously if you're gaming I recommend building your own PC, then you can get better performance, as I said in the conclusion. But this is fine for what it costs.

the vega 8 is the same, the CPU part is different. Usually the desktop variants have higher TDP and more cache, so CPU performance will be higher

don't ever turn up the textures on an igpu. Try to keep vram usage limited as bandwidth to the gpu is a major problem!
