I looked into this a bit. The bard is a fujitsu AMD690VM-FM (as per the unboxing video at 5:24). The manual states it will take up to 32 GB, YUP, 32 GB or 4x8 GB of DDR2. I think getting 4 of those would be a distinctly long term process but as 2GB of DDR2 is reasonably available. A couple of those and swapping out a 1GB would give a nice 6 GB of DDR2 for not too much money. The board is also reported to be dual channel so that could be disabled due to the odd RAM set up. I do think that an SSD would be at minimum a decent upgrade for this machine. The WD Blue 640 isn't a bad slow drive but it is what it is. W10 hates the spinners. Again price is variable but a used or very cheap SSD is within reason for this machine. Cost is paramount at its age and capability. I would also like to see a W7 benchmark of this hardware. I played San Andreas pretty good on Athlon XP 2200+ at 1.8Ghz single core, 256MM ram, and Ge Force MX 440 at 128MB ram, pretty smooth imho. Later I upgraded at 1gig of ram and 9600xt ATI 128MB. THe point is that the mobo only support AGP GPUs. I still have this PC with Win XP and play old titles.
My first PC was a prebuilt HP with the same Athlon 4600+ cpu, 3gb dd2 ram and integreted Geforce 6150 128mb. It could run Doom 3 and San Andreas but thats about it.
It's funny for me that this pc is still like 50% better that a notebook I had till January 2018. I could play like cs 1.6, and still at some places where lights were flashing I could have like 3 fps.
I still have 10 years old PC build in 2012, core i3 2120 + gtx660 + 8gb ram, and it can run gta5 with high setting (not very high or ultra) 1080p and get average 45fps.
that system is definitely a good candidate for a windows xp retro rig , i can confirm those x2 athlons do well on older operating systems thinking a gt 240 etc would make a good combo with it since the legacy nvidia drivers allow to play the legacy titles without issues on xp
It remembers me the time when I was little kid and used to play w Athlon 4000+ and HD6670 1GB GPU, and it was smooth 60fps experience on games like Samp, Pro Street, Underground and Heroes 3 :D
I used to have the 4400 IIRC version of this CPU. Good when it was brand new, but I quickly replaced it with I think a Q6600 and then a Q9550. I am surprised it runs as well as it did in this video.
Not bad at all for 40 Euros. Good old Athlon. My first computer I built for games back in 2009! was an Athlon X2 7750 Black Edition. Good times. When you ran GTA V, that shocked me BIG TIME how poorly it ran it. Considering how people say GTA V is way more optimised than GTA IV. But back in 2009 I had Vista or Windows 7 I think, and an Athlon X2 7750 with a bit more RAM and a 9800GT ran GTA IV ok, and higher than 800x600. So it makes you wonder if it's Windows 10 that's hogging all the RAM, or the crappy GT430 can't cope. I don't think it's the cpu this time. An example, and bare in mind please that this was the first video I ever put onto UA-cam, and I cringed watching it back, so just a heads up if you watch it haha 😅 Also, if you're using headphones, turn the volume down a little too, the music starts loud and abruptly, as they did a lot back then 🥴😝 ua-cam.com/video/99BeBsMEiUg/v-deo.html

I miss my high school’s day when I play GTA VC, SA and all NFS titles almost everyday after school.
CEX seem to offer lots of warranty on old hardwares, they are kinda brave.
You look mighty fine today!
It cant even handle youtube at 720p, this will be a good video.
5:20 wow this is EXACTLY how I remember playing GTA V on my radeon r5 laptop with an i5 5200U
I was expecting this video 😃
I played San Andreas pretty good on Athlon XP 2200+ at 1.8Ghz single core, 256MM ram, and Ge Force MX 440 at 128MB ram, pretty smooth imho. Later I upgraded at 1gig of ram and 9600xt ATI 128MB. THe point is that the mobo only support AGP GPUs. I still have this PC with Win XP and play old titles.
Perfect as always
My first PC was a prebuilt HP with the same Athlon 4600+ cpu, 3gb dd2 ram and integreted Geforce 6150 128mb. It could run Doom 3 and San Andreas but thats about it.
This is a certified classic
This was very entertaining! Thanks for the content.
It is just so funny to watch~ I know it is very slow PC. Nobody want to test it but you did !! Good job !
Ah yes the youtube playback test the ultimate benchmark for high-end hardware
This cpu can't handle modern stuff, but it was a marvel in it's time. Athlon 64 X2 was from the early days of consumer multi-core and 64 bit CPUs.
that system is definitely a good candidate for a windows xp retro rig , i can confirm those x2 athlons do well on older operating systems thinking a gt 240 etc would make a good combo with it since the legacy nvidia drivers allow to play the legacy titles without issues on xp
i have that same CPU! i can't believe your even trying using it... but i have an old ASUS board that's mustard colored.
It was a beast back in 2006!
It remembers me the time when I was little kid and used to play w Athlon 4000+ and HD6670 1GB GPU, and it was smooth 60fps experience on games like Samp, Pro Street, Underground and Heroes 3 :D
The dedication man hahaha. If that was me benchmarking, that PC is gone bruh hahahaha
In Italy there actually is people saying "no, I won't sell you this used PC for that low! IT'S WORTH MORE THAN THAT!".
Because they paid 1000€ for it 20 years ago... We got a lot of that too :)

@@zWORMzGaming It's an understandable mindset, but on the other hand they've to get back in touch with reality...
Incredibly informative. As soone with no background in soft other than so Nice tutorialgh school band, I completely understand everytNice tutorialng
for youtube: install the h264ify chrome addon, its better for weak PCs
Well.. Actually it's a nice pc for classic games like the gta III, VC, SA
I
P-Physically felt the pain in my chest when u tested everything on this pc aaugh ,damn i have i3 2120 and this reminded of tht
I used to have the 4400 IIRC version of this CPU. Good when it was brand new, but I quickly replaced it with I think a Q6600 and then a Q9550.
I am surprised it runs as well as it did in this video.
I actually Watch the unboxing vid on the 2 Channel, i wait a whole day for this
This reminds me of amazon PC prebuilds
Every time gta v starts loading textures and freezes i look at kryzzp face to make sure that my phone is not lagging 🤣🤣
Hey man, very clean, interesting and professional. Good sNice tutorialt.
An example, and bare in mind please that this was the first video I ever put onto UA-cam, and I cringed watching it back, so just a heads up if you watch it haha 😅
Also, if you're using headphones, turn the volume down a little too, the music starts loud and abruptly, as they did a lot back then 🥴😝

4:39 the GPU is currently on vacation while the CPU is *crying in 2006* I can’t believe that the GT 430 could be bottlenecked that badly
Ah yes the potato gang let's go💪
the guidebook did, and now I finally understand the chanics!
this makes my intel uhd look good!! thanks zWORMz
So smooth! EverytNice tutorialng he says goes into my brain and sticks in.
These seems like a great early 2000s retro pc.
10:27 Hello comrade "Пубертат"
I’m surprised a 2006 pc with a 430 managed 25 fps even tho was unstable I was impressed considering is a 2 core 2 tread at 2ghz that’s crazy
Hello, congra!! That is a gaming computer, no one can say no.
Oh thats by BOOOOOOOOOOY! Great vid !
Another awesome Sunday video👍
