Those ambient sounds would be popular with my house. On the way home from a weekend day out, getting the kids to sleep is a big plus. Ambient sounds definitely help with that.
I like iPedal mode. You can adjust how aggressively the car slows when you take your foot off the accelerator. I keep mine on the strongest braking setting and try never to touch the brakes for maximum regenerative braking. I have the slowest EV6, but compared to any fossil powered car it feels like a rocket!

You missed one of the coolest interior features: There is a 240v outlet in the back, in the footwell where the rear middle passenger sits. Does 3600 W even, so you can plug in your hair dryer, or your computer, or your kettle, or your washer/dryer or whatever.

@@RichardFanders I’ve just gone from a manual instructor car to a Mini Cooper electric instructor car (so full electric/automatic lessons) and after 20 years of instructing it’s so funny trying to avoid saying ‘turn the car (not engine) on’ and ‘use the power pedal’ (not gas pedal) It’s so fun teaching in it though. Looks like an excellent car. Excellent in depth review Richard, as always. Did you find at low speeds the brakes tended to groan in the same way another review channel made a big deal of, or was it not noticeable? Never going to be a deal breaker on a car tho.
Not at all, it was really easier at low speed. But groaning brakes when an automatic is creeping on the brake is quite common. I believe it's down to the compound of the friction material on the brake pads. Temperature can make a difference too, my Leon will groan given the right conditions at very low speeds when rolling down hill on the brakes. I only hear this groan when a car is nearly stationary.

@@DaveDVideoMaker so then tell me why would you buy a car that has no charging planning, that is very inefficient on the highway, that won't allow you to pre heat the battery so that the inefficiency doesn't become too obvious and that costs way more than a model Y if you equip it to the same level? You can't turn off the reverse beeping you hear outside the car, only the beepers inside when you get close to stuff. The sound you hear outside can only be turned off by taking out a fuse.
The reviewer says the seats are made out of fabric because he does not know what he is talking about. This material is Italian made suede called "Dinamica" that costs way more than genuine leather. These are the same materials you find in Porsche, Benz, Audi, and BMW. This is the most premium seating material you can find today for auto use. And Kia did not spare any $$$ in using this premium material. Way to go Kia

Kia offer a range of specifications to suit various budgets. RWD 226 bhp with a kerb weight of 1985 kg is 114 bhp/tonne. Which I agree is quite meagre. However AWD 321 bhp with a kerb weight of 2 090kg is a much more useful 154 bhp/tonne. The Mazda Rx-8 a proper 4 door 4 seater sports car of yesteryear was 168 bhp/tonne. Looking at the torque on the AWD 321bhp EV6 605Nm from 0 rpm and the torque of 211Nm at 5500rpm on the Rx-8 and one can see if one is looking for a little more punch the AWD 321bhp (0-62mph in 5.2 seconds or less) is the ticket!

200km will be not problem. 300+ miles is official. On motorways you'll get less and it depends how fast you drive.

I think calling it the power pedal works for both combustion and electric vehicles since that’s ultimately what it controls. :)

It’s not a “go pedal” or a “gas pedal”, in the UK it’s the “accelerator pedal” or just “accelerator”… it’s been that way here for 100+ years!

The different modes try to make the car feel more sporty (I didnt notice a difference) or try to make it more economical.
