Hunter, you're the envy of everyone in the Twin Ports! Must be a great experience. I grew up in Superior, where I spent my first twenty-five years. Really appreciate this video. Greetings from N. Kentucky.
What a great experience. The bridge is a co star in the ship videos. What a facinating job, you have to feel powerful running the bridge functions and what a great view of ships, storms, people and of course, the big lake! Also night views are awsome with all the lights of the city, ships, Bentlyville. Got to be a dream job. I think alot of people would do it without pay, just for the experience.
The opposite of the Cape Cod (Ma.) Railroad bridge. It stays up until a train has to cross the Canal, then it comes down. They look so similar except CC bridge has two towers on top. I wonder if they were built around the same time.
Hilarious at the end!! Wow, what real responsibility that is to be the Aerial Lift Bridge guy!! I had asked you to see if you could get permission to go up the bridge sometime.... I guess this will have to do!
Im surprised at how many controls, gauges and monitors there are. That is a lot of switches for something that just goes up and down. Interesting video.
Been wondering why the bridge doesn't have any holiday cheer. Maybe a wreath, lights or a Christmas tree at the very top. Something to gussy up the bridge for the holidays. Also, thought every ship had a like a garage door remote control. to raise the bridge . . . just kidding. Thank you for lift.
people always meme on folks from up there, that they are so nice and polite and humble and get excited over mundane things. i never really believed the memes until now. bros life dream was riding a bridge to the top so boats can go under. you did it buddy! you betcha!

Cool Bridge - Similar to the Philadelphia Navy Yard lift bridge. Thanks for sharing.

A very interesting video. I finally got to see inside of the workings of the bridge.

2:38 got a TV in the background tuned into an F1 race there
Hunter did I miss the part about the horns responding to the ship’s salute?
Thak you Sir.

Great vid. Would love to be in the control room during a big blizzard.
Has the bridge ever broken down in mid air or stuck at the top to where it couldn't come down or go up?
on my bucket list, maybe this summer of 24

No bridges in front of ........this building .........
No bridge....... in the vicinity of our location.......
Tynebridge ......
That’s would be the coolest experience to ride the bridge. The operator probably hopes that a big boat comes through. For sure.
Are you sure the bridge has a powerful enough lift mechanism to even go up with the fat guy on board...??
back in 1990 some woman got crushed/cut in half as the bridge started to go up, she started to panic and tried to do something and yeah......
OMG!
