  • I have purchased a new tyre inflator, in this clip I test out the Ryobi one inflator on the caravan.
I also check the wheel torque and Tyrepal pressures.

For a battery operated air pump. It’s by far the best air pump I’ve used for the money. $20 in the USA at HomeDepot and I’ve used it to pump up large truck tires. The 4 amp hour battery has been able to pump up for standard size sedan tires no problem. Honestly the best bang for your buck. I really like this tool.

Hi Adam, we have been really impressed with it. I just need to get the bigger battery but the smaller one I have has done the job ok. A great purchase, Thanks for comments and watching 👍

I've been using one for a couple of years now and just bought another today because they had a one day sale here in the States for £7.99. I highly recommend that you follow the instructions and do not run the inflator for more than 10 minutes at a time. I've seen many people burn them out by trying to fill a tire from flat without a cool-down period.

That was a good sale price! Thanks for the info on usage, I don’t normally read instructions, never thought about cooling time. Will be sure not to over use now. Thanks for comments and watching, Martin 😊

Great bit of kit definitely better than having wire's trailing around, I have one with a cigar lighter plug which I took off and extended and then terminated in small crocodile clips so I can connect it to the leisure battery works okay but a bit of a faff think I'll be getting one of these.
    Cheers

Hi Jon, I got this one as I have quite a few Ryobi tools so it was the obvious choice. Once you have the batteries then there are loads of tools to look at on their range. Thanks for watching, Martin 👍

@@TheCaravanNut When I was speaking to the guy at my local machine mart he was saying the batteries are becoming more expensive. £160 for bigger version. Obviously that's in-store so you'll find it cheaper.
Look forward to the next instalment. If I have a suggestion I'll pop you a line. Kojac mounts for me.

Another good video 👍Given me something to think about with the Ryobi kit. I'm after a new cordless impact driver which I would also use for winding the caravan legs and possibly hardstanding pegs, and my existing 12v tyre pump is on its last legs (as well as being a pain to get to both sides of the van). Therefore I will certainly give the cordless Ryobi kit a look at.

Hi Craig, thanks for the feedback. I’ve got a lot of Ryobi gear so the pump seemed the obvious choice, just need some more batteries 🤔 Thanks for watching, Martin 👍

Hello Martin, just watched your video clip again I am thinking of buying a tyre inflator, mine at the moment is like the one you used to use, plug-in car type, so I was just wondering how are you getting on with your Ryobi inflator, is it still doing the job ?.

Nice one Martin very informative video, I’ve recently replaced my conventional electric pump but would have looked at the Ryobi unit. I lengthened the leads on my unit so I could operate it using the caravan onboard supply, by passing it through the kitchen window I can inflate the offside tyres. I used crimp on bullet connectors. Just make sure you don’t mix up the polarity when rejoining the leads.
